An Anthology of Opinions Towards a Healthy Indonesia and Optimal State Revenue through Tobacco Excise Policy Reform contains ideas related to tobacco excise policy in supporting public health and optimizing state revenue. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of sentences in a collection of opinion pieces about a healthy Indonesia and optimal state revenue through tobacco excise policy reform. In conducting the research, the authors used a methodological approach in the form of a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection with this method is done using reading and recording techniques. This research uses text analysis techniques with a qualitative descriptive analysis approach as a data analysis technique. Based on the analysis that has been carried out on Bunga Rampai Collection of Opinions Towards a Healthy Indonesia and Optimal Revenue through Tobacco Excise Policy Reform, 11 effective sentences have been found. Meanwhile, errors related to EYD and KBBI were also found with details in the form of 16 ineffective sentences, 31 ambiguous sentences, 5 sentences with capitalization errors, 12 sentences with nonstandard words, and 18 sentences with other types of errors. In addition to being used as a reference for analyzing sentence effectiveness, this research is also useful for enriching the study of tobacco excise policy communication, especially for RPJM 2025-2029 policymakers. In addition, this research can also be used as a reference for further research related to sentence effectiveness.

The use of effective sentences in academic communication is essential, especially in essay writing that contains various legal arguments. Essays should employ proper sentence structures to clearly conver ideas and persuade readers. This study aims to analyze ineffective sentence constructions found in the Kumpulan Esai Kritis NACE Competition 2021 published on thr LK2 FHUI website as educational reading material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and theoretical. Data collection was carried out using observation and note-taking techniques by analyzing various types of errors in the essay texts. The data collection process followed four steps: (1) data collection, (2) data analysis, (3) discussion, and (4) conculusion and recommendation. The results show that many ineffective sentences are still found in the essays, such as punctuation errors, wordiness, inappropriate use of foreign terms, improper word choices, and excessive repetition. These errors negatively impact the clarity and persuasiveness of the messages and arguments within the essays. This research is expected to contribute to improving essay writing quality and the development of more effective academic literacy.

To ensure effective message delivery, the sentences in expository texts must be clear, concise, and easily understood, preventing any misinterpretation by the public as the readers. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of sentences in expository text on a healthy lifestyle published on alodokter.com from January-June 2024 as part of public health education efforts. The effectiveness of sentences is assessed based on several aspects, including structure and grammar, word choice, clarity of information and readability for the general public. This research employes a qualitative descriptive approach and a syntactic approach as its theoretical framework. Data collection techniques involve the observe and note method. Data analysis is conducted using the distributional method (agih technique) to examine syntactic structure and sentence coherence, as well as the referential method (padan technique) to evaluate meaning clarity and reads comprehension. The research process is carried out in three steps: (1) data collection, (2) data analysis, and (3) presentation of research findings. The research object consists of expository text on online health portals discussing healthy lifestyles. Several articles are selected and analyzed in depth. The data presentation technique in this research uses formal and informal methods. The analysis result reveal the ineffectiveness of several sentences in the expository texts, particularly in terms of their inconsistency with the characteristics of effective sentences, such as unity, coherence, emphasis, and conciseness. The result of this study contribute to a deeper comprehension of the topic being explored. Furthermore, the study is beneficial for the public as a form of health education and awareness.

The analysis focuses on three main domains: the symbolic representation of women in nationalist discourse, gender representation in advertising language, and the semantic shift of domestic vocabulary in Javanese that manifests in the form of pejorative expressions. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the findings reveal that language functions not only as a tool of communication but also as a means of shaping gender ideology. Terms such as ibu pertiwi (motherland) and ibu kota (capital city) indicate a symbolic appreciation of women’s roles within the national framework. Conversely, diction such as cantik (beautiful) and elegan (elegant) in advertisements reflect socially constructed gender identities. Furthermore, in the Javanese language, the transformation of domestic vocabulary into derogatory expressions—such as kitchen-related terms becoming insults—illustrates a symbolic imbalance concerning women’s domestic roles. This study emphasizes the importance of critical awareness in language use, particularly in shaping inclusive and gender-equal narratives.

This study aims to identify various factors that influence language choice in communication, as well as to analyze how the use of appropriate language can have a positive impact on the success of message delivery. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using thematic methods. The results of the study indicate that success in delivering messages is greatly influenced by language choice, which depends on a number of factors, such as communication context, communication objectives, audience background and characteristics, media or communication channels, and relationships between speakers. The selection of appropriate language has been shown to improve message clarity, build emotional connections, strengthen the credibility of the communicator, avoid misunderstandings, and increase the appeal and memorability of the message. These findings emphasize the importance of choosing the right language in the communication process so that messages can be delivered effectively and easily understood as they should.

This study aims to analyze the language strategies used in promotional articles about Bedil Island tourism published in local Banyuwangi online media and how the language forms the representation of the image of the tourist destination. Bedil Island is one of the new tourist destinations that is developing and starting to be known to the wider community, especially through online media coverage. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this study examines two promotional articles about Bedil Island tourism published by different local sites. The results of the analysis show that the language strategies used include the use of metaphors, local origin narratives, strong visual descriptions, and the insertion of quantitative data to build the credibility of the information. Phrases such as “Banyuwangi's Raja Ampat” and “hidden natural lagoon” play an important role in building the reader's imagination of the beauty and exclusivity of Bedil Island. The representation of the image of Bedil Island is also formed through a combination of emotional, ecological, and rational aspects presented in the text. This study shows that the language in promotional articles is not neutral, but is used strategically to shape the perception and image of the destination in the minds of the audience. Therefore, understanding the use of language in tourism promotion is important, especially in the context of sustainable local tourism development.

This study aims to explore the role of harakat in assisting beginner students at Pondok Pesantren Zainul Hasan Genggong in reading and understanding Arabic texts. Learning Arabic, especially for beginners, presents its own challenges, particularly in reading texts that use the harakat system. Harakat plays a crucial role in proper pronunciation and understanding the meaning of words. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, involving 1) seventh-grade students and 2) the arabic language teachers in that class. The results of the study show that harakat significantly helps students in understanding Arabic grammar, improving reading skills, and comprehending the meaning of texts. Additionally, internal factors such as physical health, as well as external factors like family conditions, also influence students' ability to read Arabic texts. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that the use of harakat in teaching Arabic to beginners be maintained and enhanced.  

This study aims to analyze the skills of understanding Arabic letters and reports at Madrasah Nurul Istifadah and identify factors that influence students' understanding, the learning methods used, and the effectiveness of the strategies applied. Understanding skills in this context include the ability to recognize text structure, analyze content, and interpret formal language styles. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that group discussion strategies and repeated reading with gradual understanding proved effective in improving students' understanding of Arabic letters and reports. This strategy not only improves students' linguistic abilities, but also encourages cooperation, self-confidence, and critical thinking skills. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more contextual and effective Arabic language learning methods, especially in understanding formal texts.

The research subject are students in grades V and VI who actively use social media. To collect data, observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation were used. According to the research findings, various aspects of students lives are influenced by social media including learning behavior, social interactions, and communication patterns. Student interact more digitally than face to face, which can recude the quality of social relationships and increase risks such as anxiety, stress, and cyberbullying. Social media has positive benevits, such as increasing creativity and cultural knowledge, but excessive use without supervision can interfere with the development of students character and mental health. Therefore, parents and teachers must play an active role in guiding their students and improving their digital literacy.

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing in YouTube content by Noona Rosa as a linguistic practice in a multilingual digital context. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected from several of Noona Rosa's uploaded videos and analyzed in terms of form, function, and influencing factors in the use of Indonesian and Korean code variation. The findings reveal that code-switching is employed to express emotions, reinforce cultural identity, and build rapport with bilingual audiences. Meanwhile, code-mixing commonly appears in the insertion of Korean cultural terms into Indonesian sentence structures, serving as a communicative strategy of identity and cultural meaning preservation. The influencing factors include social context, speaker identity, discussion topics, and emotional expression. These findings contribute significantly to sociolinguistic studies and highlight how digital media serves as a platform for multicultural identity expression.

This research aims to analyze the behavior of school organizations in facing curriculum changes at UPT SMP N 27 Medan. Curriculum change is a challenge that requires adaptation from all school elements, including teachers, principals and support staff. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research focus includes how school organizations behave in responding to curriculum changes, the strategies implemented to manage changes, and the obstacles faced during the adaptation process. It is hoped that the research results will provide an overview of the dynamics of school organizations in the context of curriculum change as well as recommendations for effective management of change in the school environment.

This research aims to identify and describe various forms of errors in the use of punctuation marks found in fiction and non-fiction texts in Indonesian language textbooks for class VII SMP. The research was carried out with a qualitative descriptive approach using content analysis methods, based on writing rules in Enhanced Indonesian Spelling (EYD V). The results of the research show that the errors that most often appear include the use of commas, quotation marks and hyphens. These errors can cause unclear understanding of correct punctuation rules and indicate a lack of accuracy in Therefore, more attention is needed from writers and curriculum compilers so that the use of language in textbooks remains in accordance with applicable rules.
