The Crisis of Ethnic Intolerance Among Adolescents in Developing Educational Programs to Increase Social Tolerance in Senior High School

Abstract
This study aims to identify the crisis of ethnic intolerance among adolescents and explore the development of educational programs that can increase social tolerance in high school. This study uses a qualitative research design with a high school analysis unit that implements educational programs to overcome ethnic intolerance. The research data sources consist of principals, teachers, and students obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of curriculum documents. The data analysis technique uses a thematic and triangulation approach to ensure the validity of the findings. The results of the study show that despite educational efforts to improve social tolerance, there are major challenges in its implementation, especially related to students' limited understanding of the importance of diversity. The contribution of this research is to provide insight into the importance of developing more holistic and integrative educational programs in forming social tolerance among adolescents, as well as strengthening education policies to encourage more harmonious social interactions.
