PEMBELAJARAN INOVATIF : IMPLEMENTASI METODE MEMBACA TERBIMBING (GUIDED READING) BERBANTUAN VIDEO ANIMASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

The ability to read comprehension is something that needs to be mastered by students, but students' interest and reading comprehension in Indonesia is still very low, even though reading/literacy is one of the keys to the success of learning in order to achieve qualified human resources for Indonesia Gold 2045. The above problems occur because educators have not been able to optimize existing technology to realize a learning that involves technology-based learning media. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the effect of video-assisted guided reading methods has on the reading comprehension ability of grade III elementary school students. The method used in this study is the Quasi Experiment method with the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. This research was conducted in 4 meetings where 1 meeting was for pretest, 2 meetings were for giving treatment and 1 meeting was for posttest. The sample of this research is 30 students who meet the criteria of the researcher. The results showed that the results of the pre-test and post-test of students in the control class, namely the average pre-test was 69.00 and the average post-test result was 75.33, while in the experimental class the average pre-test results were test 69.00 and the average post-test result data is 80.17. From these data it can be concluded that students' reading comprehension skills in the control class and in the experimental class both increased, but based on the results of the study, the improvement in students' reading comprehension skills increased more significantly (the increase was greater) after using the guided reading method.
