Colorectal cancer is a malignant epithelial tumor originating from colorectal mucosa. Clinicopathology factors including age, gender, location, histopathological type, differentiation, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis, and lymphovascular invasion are known affect the prognosis. This study aims to determine the clinicopathological characteristics of colorectal cancer at Anatomical Pathology Laboratory RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang in 2017-2020 This study was descriptive observational with total sampling technique from medical records. Samples included all colorectal cancer patients in 2017-2020 who were fulfilled inclusion criteria, with total 251 samples. The results showed that the most patiens were female (52.2%), the age group were > 50 years (66.1%), mostly located in the rectosigmoid (71.7%). Most of the histopathological types were adenocarcinoma (79.7%), with low grade differentiation (88.8%). More than a half of tumor invasion was at T3 (58.2%). Mainly metastatic status to lymph nodes was Nx (54.2%) and lymphovascular invasion were positive in 60% samples that included the lymphovascular invasion examination. The conclusion of this study is most of colorectal cancer in Anatomical Pathology Laboratory RSUP. Dr. M. Djamil Padang in 2017-2020 are in advanced stage, Early detection needs to be done so that colorectal cancer can be diagnosed at an early stage.

Natural disasters have become an integral part of people's lives in Indonesia, disrupting daily activities and causing significant impacts. Indonesia, located in the Ring of Fire, faces a high risk of volcanic eruptions, including the active Mount Kerinci which has the potential to cause disasters such as volcanic ashfall. Kresik Tuo Village, located near Mount Kerinci, faces a direct threat from this eruption. The community, especially the youth, need to improve their preparedness and knowledge to deal with potential disasters. The "MENGABU Siaga dalam Bencana" program is designed to improve the preparedness of the Kresik Tuo Village community in dealing with potential volcanic ashfall, with the hope of contributing to the development of community preparedness strategies in disaster-prone areas. To improve the knowledge of youth in Kresik Tuo Village related to disasters and disaster preparedness. The study used the Pre-Experimental research method with a Prepost Test Design. Sampling used a non-probability sampling technique with convenience sampling according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 40 respondents. Wilcoxon test shows that there is a significant increase in the knowledge of youth preparedness for the eruption of Mount Merapi after being given the "Mengabu Siaga dalam Bencana" program. All respondents experienced an increase in knowledge, as indicated by a positive ranks value of 40 and a p value = 0.000. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that there is a significant effect of the "Mengabu (Mengabu Storm Ash) Siaga Dalam Bencana" Program on Youth Preparedness Knowledge for Disasters in Kresik Tuo Village, Kayu Aro District, Kerinci Regency, Jambi in increasing youth knowledge.

Hypertension is a condition that is often encountered. Hypertension is a condition when blood pressure rises. Risk factors that can cause hypertension are age, race, gender, lifestyle, sodium consumption, smoking, alcohol consumption, stress level, and education. The urgency of this research is that the number of hypertension patients at the Purwodiningratan Surakarta Health Center experiences a spike every year. Based on a preliminary study at the Community Health Center, data was obtained that the number of hypertension patients in the last five year period experienced a spike, then fell, then spiked again. The objective problem of this research is the increase in hypertension patients, so it is necessary to research the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and family support and efforts to control hypertension. The importance of this research is a manifestation of efforts to control hypertension which continues to experience a surge using interview methods and distributing leaflets with the aim of a community approach. The aim of the research is to analyze the magnitude of the impact of the hypertension control program using the swallow method (interviews and leaflets). The research approach used cross sectional. The sample was 77 hypertensive patients at the Community Health Center. The sampling technique used the accidental sampling method based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The statistical test uses a linear regression test at a significance level of 0.05. 



 

Postoperative nausea and vomiting is one of the common side effects of spinal anesthesia. Nausea and vomiting affect patient morbidity such as stress, discomfort, dehydration, prolonging treatment time and increasing treatment costs. This study aims to determine the effect of acupressure therapy on the incidence of nausea and vomiting after spinal anesthesia in the recovery room of the Imelda Labor Indonesia General Hospital, Medan. This type of research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental research method. Data reports in the province of North Sumatra, there are 25,602 patients undergoing surgery. While at the Umim Labor Indonesia Hospital, Medan, the data on surgical patients as of January-March 2024 amounted to 666 patients, 250 patients were found to have spinal anesthesia. This study was conducted in February - June 2024 at the Imelda Labor Indonesia General Hospital, Medan. A sample of 20 respondents was taken.: The results of the statistical test obtained an ? value of 0.000 (? <0.05), thus it was concluded that there was an effect of acupressure therapy on the incidence of nausea and vomiting after spinal anesthesia at the Imelda Labor Indonesia General Hospital, Medan. Based on the characteristics of respondents based on age, they were in the age range of 36-40 years, which was 55%, based on gender, the majority of respondents were women, which was 60%, respondents based on a history of smoking were 65%, the distribution of respondents with a history of nausea and vomiting was 55% and the majority of respondents with an incidence of nausea and vomiting was 60%. The recommendation for this study is that acupressure therapy can be applied in nursing practice so that patients are able to do it independently. For the Imelda Labor Indonesia General Hospital, Medan, it is necessary to carry out a risk scoring of nausea and vomiting in patients before surgery to minimize the incidence of nausea and vomiting after surgery.

Herbal therapy, a practice rooted in traditional medicine, offers potential benefits for managing chronic conditions and promoting overall health in older adults. The research involved educating elderly participants about the use of specific herbal remedies tailored to common geriatric issues, such as arthritis, digestive problems, and sleep disturbances. Pre- and post-intervention assessments were conducted to measure changes in physical health, emotional well-being, and daily functioning. The results revealed significant improvements in the participants' quality of life, with notable reductions in symptoms, enhanced vitality, and increased satisfaction with their health management. The study concludes that educating the elderly about safe and effective use of herbal therapy can serve as a valuable complement to conventional treatments, leading to better health outcomes and improved quality of life. Further research is recommended to refine educational strategies and explore the long-term benefits of herbal therapy in the elderly population.

This study investigated the effect of lavender aromatherapy massage on the quality of infant sleep in 2024. A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 60 healthy infants aged 3 to 12 months, who were divided into two groups: one group received a 10-minute lavender oil massage before bedtime, while the control group received a similar massage without lavender oil. Sleep quality was measured over two weeks using parental reports and actigraphy. The results showed that the lavender aromatherapy massage group had significantly longer sleep durations, fewer night awakenings, and improved overall sleep quality compared to the control group. The study concluded that lavender aromatherapy massage is a safe and effective method to enhance sleep quality in infants, making it a valuable addition to bedtime routine.

 

Stunting is a growth disorder in children caused by poor nutritional intake, repeated infections and inadequate psychosocial stimulation. These nutritional problems will occur if the nutrients are not fulfilled in the period of  First Thousand Days of Life. Objective: to determine the effect of nutrition counseling using comic media on the knowledge and attitudes of girl adolescent about 1000 first days of life in preventing stunting at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Methods: This type of research was Pre-Experimental with the One Group Pre-Post Test research design which only used the experimental group without a control/comparison group. The population in this study were all class XI teenage girls who were at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan in 2023, namely 121 people. Data collection was carried out by interviews using questionnaires and analysis using the T-dependent test. Results: This study showed the effect of nutritional counseling using comic media on knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.000) in preventing stunting at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Conclusion: There is an increase in knowledge and attitudes of young women after being given nutritional counseling using comic media.

Decubitus wounds are wounds caused by prolonged pressure on a prominent surface area of ??the bone. Nurses play an important role in preventing the incidence of decubitus, especially by carrying out an early assessment of the risk of decubitus, namely by using the Braden Scale. Objective: to determine the risk of decubitus injuries using the Braden Scale. Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive research design. The sample in this study was 20 people using a non-probability accidental sampling. Inclusion criteria for this research were patients treated in hospital. Islam Malahayati Medan for more than 2 days of treatment, young elderly, middle elderly and old elderly patients. Data analysis in this study used SPSS 25 for Windows for descriptive statistics. Results: There were 7 people (35%) in the no risk category, 6 people (30%) in the mild risk category, 2 people (10%) in the moderate risk category and 4 people (20%) in the high risk category and 1 person (5%) severe risk category. Suggestion: Hospitals need to include the Braden Scale assessment format in the inpatient assessment format to detect the risk of decubitus injuries and carry out assessments on patients every day while the patient is hospitalized.

The Regional Government of Asahan Regency has a Healthy Asahan Program committed to creating conditions in Asahan Regency that are clean, comfortable, safe and healthy for residents to live in, which is achieved through the existence of hospitals that are able to provide services according to standards. The ratio of beds to population in Asahan Regency in 2022 is 1.03. The aim of the research is to see future hospital market opportunities in an effort to help the Asahan Sehat Regional Government's Healthy Program of Asahan Regency. We used a convergent parallel mixed methods design, in which qualitative and quantitative data were collected simultaneously. This research was conducted from April 2023 to July 2023. Research data was collected from 5 hospitals in Asahan Regency (H.Abdul Manan Simatupang Hospital, Ibu Kartini Hospital, Bunda Mulia Hospital, Permata Hati Hospital, and Seger Waras Hospital), Central Bureau of Statistics and the Asahan District Health Service. Data was analyzed using SWOT and the hospital's position was determined using SWOT scoring. The SWOT analysis shows that the existence of the new hospital in Asahan Regency is in Quadrant II, meaning that the future hospital has the opportunity to develop in Asahan Regency by minimizing weaknesses. Aspects of hospital location, service/market needs, infrastructure and competitive aspects must be the main focus.
