Abstract
 
This study aims to determine the behavior of students in accelerated class, in increasing knowledge in the library of SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahah Hulu. This study uses a descriptive narrative method with a qualitative approach. The results of the study showed that all the accelerated VIII graders at SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahah Hulu had increased their knowledge by taking books directly on the shelf and searching the internet if the additional knowledge was deemed insufficient.
 
The use of technology that can support information needs is in great demand by students of class VIII acceleration. The purpose of adding knowledge is for assignments given by the teacher, to support skills and interests, to understand the material and to gain insight. The media used by accelerated VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahah Hulu still use books in the library and books that they access at their favorite bookstores.
