Student character is an important aspect in forming a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has strong moral and social values. This study aims to examine the influence of the surrounding environment, especially the school environment and social interactions, on the formation of student character at SD IT Permata Kita. The results of observations and interviews with teachers show that a religious, educational, and positively cultural school environment is able to instill strong character values ??such as politeness, tolerance, mutual respect, and responsibility. The school also actively runs a character development program through monthly studies and the Malam Bina Iman dan Takwa (MABIT) activity. However, the negative influence of peers remains a challenge that needs to be watched out for and managed. This article is expected to be a reflection material for educators and stakeholders in an effort to strengthen student character through a positive environmental approach.

This study aims to explore the influence of self-reward on the learning motivation of PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) students at Universitas Negeri Padang. Self-reward refers to a form of self-appreciation given by individuals after achieving specific goals or completing tasks. This research employed a qualitative approach through interviews and observations involving several students. The pre-test results indicated that most students had a moderate level of learning motivation, with an average score of 65 out of 100. After implementing self-reward strategies such as buying food, playing games, going to karaoke, and taking class trips students demonstrated increased motivation, with the post-test average score rising to 78. Students reported feeling more enthusiastic, confident, and consistent in engaging with academic activities after practicing self-reward. Additionally, self-reward served as an effective coping mechanism to combat academic fatigue and boredom. In conclusion, self-reward plays a significant role in enhancing students’ learning motivation and can be considered a recommended personal development strategy in higher education settings.

This study examines the preparedness of elementary school teachers in Indonesia to navigate the digital age and implement the Merdeka Curriculum.  Findings reveal significant challenges in digital literacy, adequate teacher training, and sufficient school infrastructure. While student interest in technology is high, teachers struggle to effectively integrate technology into teaching and manage dynamic classrooms. The research underscores the urgent need for enhanced digital competency development among teachers, improved access to technology, and the development of teaching strategies responsive to technological advancements and the needs of 21st-century learners.
