The Use of Machine Learning for Efficient Energy Management in Big Data-Based Computing Systems

Abstrak:
The rapid growth of digital services has intensified the energy demands of data centers, significantly impacting operational costs and global carbon footprints. This study leverages Machine Learning (ML) and Big Data to optimize energy management in data centers, addressing limitations in prior approaches that overlooked real-time variability. A predictive model utilizing the Random Forest algorithm was developed to reduce energy consumption based on dynamic factors, such as workload and environmental conditions like temperature. The research used a six-month dataset consisting of approximately 3 million data points from an operational data center. After preprocessing the data, the model achieved a high predictive accuracy, reflected by an R-squared value of 0.87. The findings demonstrate that the model reduces energy consumption by an average of 11.17% daily, with peak savings of up to 15.56% during off-peak hours. Key metrics, including a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.034 and a Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.184, validated the model's effectiveness and reliability. Statistical tests further confirmed its precision within a 95% confidence interval. This study contributes to the academic field by integrating real-time environmental data into predictive modeling, offering a scalable solution for energy-efficient data center operations. The outcomes support sustainability initiatives by mitigating carbon emissions and reducing operational costs. The findings also provide a framework for applying ML in broader industrial contexts requiring efficient energy management. Future research may explore incorporating additional variables, such as user behavior, to further refine predictive capabilities.

Pengukuran kinerja perusahaan sangat penting untuk untuk mengukur kinerja perusahaan di masa mendatang dan juga bisa digunakan untuk pengambilan keputusan yang tepat. PT Massindo Karya Prima Perusahaan yg bergerak dalam bidang manufacture atau produksi pembuatan kasur, divan, sandaran mulai dari awal sampai terbentuk barang jadi. Dengan sudah ditentukannya perspektif kemudian ditentukan baru ditentukan sasaran strategis dan setiap sasaran ditentukan Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Metode balanced scorecard memberikan kerangka komprehensif untuk menjabarkan visi ke dalam sasaran-sasaran strategi. Sasaran-sasaran strategi yang komprehensif dapat dirumuskan karena metode balanced scorecard menggunakan empat perspektif: keuangan, pelanggan, proses bisnis internal, serta pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan. Sistem informasi berbasis Web dengan metode balanced scorecard kinerja pemasaran di PT Massindo Karya Prima berbasis website merupakan teknologi yang fleksibel dapat diakses seluruh jaringan internet. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode penelitian model Borg and Gall (1987) dari 10 langkah menjadi 6 langkah. Hasil penelitian uji validasi dilakukan oleh pakar sistem menunjukkan nilai 2,6 maka sistem dinyatakan valid dan validasi user 4,0 sistem layak dipakai dan sangat baik.

Abstrak:
One of the most crucial elements in a company is Human Resources (HR). To ensure a conducive internal climate within the company, creating healthy competition among employees can be achieved by selecting the best candidates. The process of selecting the best employees at PT. Gumara Trans Jaya Boja relies on criteria-based data without accurate calculations. The purpose of this research is to provide a system that can make decisions about high-performing employees using the TOPSIS method and to implement this method in determining the criteria for assessing high-performing employees to ensure accurate data for precise decision-making and optimal results. The system is built using the TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), with XAMPP as its server, PHP as the programming language, and MySQL as the database. The testing results of this decision support system were deemed valid, receiving a score of 3.7, or 'Good', from expert evaluators, and obtaining a score of 4.2, or 'Very Good', from users. In a comparative test, the newly designed system achieved an 84% level of system alignment with the assessment indicators, compared to the old system's 44% alignment. This research follows the 6-step R&D method.

In Bad Stock (BS) control at PT Sari Roti Semarang, it is crucial to reduce the company's significant losses. However, the selection of rejected and returned bread with poor quality is still prevalent. Based on production data and the amount of bad stock (a collection of returned bread from stores and rejected production), a decision support system for controlling bad stock using Fuzzy Tsukamoto is needed. In this decision support system, three variables are modeled: production, store returns, and production rejects. The production variable consists of two fuzzy sets: increase, remain the same, and decrease. The store returns variable consists of two fuzzy sets: decrease, remain the same, and increase. The production rejects variable consists of three fuzzy sets: few, normal, and many. The membership values are only two values, 0 and 1, while the membership values in the fuzzy sets are closed intervals [0,1]. By combining all these fuzzy sets, three fuzzy rules are obtained, which are then used in the inference stage. In the inference stage, the membership value of the antecedent (?) and the estimated amount of production (z) are found for each rule. The amount of rejected production (Z) is obtained by centered average defuzzification.
The research results based on expert validation testing indicate that the obtained values are in the range of 2.51-3.25, which is categorized as valid or good. Meanwhile, the validation testing from users indicates that the obtained value of 3.4 is in the range of 3.26-4.00, which is categorized as highly valid. The effectiveness testing of the system's performance results in an average value of 89.5%.

In this modern era, the world of science and technology is growing rapidly. Along with this, the flow of information is also growing and the need for quality information is increasing. CV. ALKO Rent Car is an individual business engaged in services, especially transportation services.The previous rental process only used a borrowing system through advertisements in print media and only by word of mouth. This is of course a bit detrimental to the company, because if there are customers from outside the city who will use the car rental service, they cannot know the types of cars that will be used and the price of the car rental. By using a transaction system with web technology, it ishoped that the company can increase the number of customers and not only from the city of Semarang. In addition, the admin section will not experience difficulties when writing reports or customer data collection, because customer data collection can be done in an easier way by entering the customer member, the admin section will find out whether the customer has used the car rental service or not.With web technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL databases as well as utilizing the internet network, it is hoped that it can solve problems related to customer reach.This study uses the Borg and Gall (1987) model from 10 steps to 6 steps. The expert system validation test shows the final value of the calculation is 2.5, concluding that it is very feasible to use. User Validation on CV. ALKO Rent Car Semarang obtained a value of 3.0 stating that the system is feasible to use and good.

Kemajuan teknologi semakin pesat, berpengaruh pada perkembangan hardware komputer. Pemecahan masalah Troubleshooting Komputer dapat dilakukan dengan mengembangkan sistem pakar. Deengan menggunakan metode Certainty Factor, fakta yang diperoleh dari pengetahuan seorang ahli disimpan dalam suatu basis pengetahuan dengan bantuan mesin inferensi dan memori kerja, proses penarikan kesimpulan tentang jenis kerusakan pada komputer. Sistem pakar dibuat menggunakan metode Certainty Factor dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian model Borg and Gall (1987) dari 10 langkah menjadi 6 langkah. Hasil uji oleh pakar dengan nilai akhir 3,20 sistem dinyatakan valid. Uji User diperoleh nilai 3,5 menyatakan sistem sangat baik.

Information technology is not only expected to be a supporting device and facilitate the company's operational activities, but has become part of the strategy in maintaining employee performance. PT. Usaha Mandiri Exporttama is a company engaged in assembling and manufacturing gas stoves for export destinations with a total of ± 150 employees. Having problems in terms of: (1) Efficiency, (2) Data Accuracy, (3) Timeliness, (4) Data Search, (5) Data Calculation. Seeing the weaknesses in the company, researchers designed a web-based attendance and payroll information system using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The Rfid Reader and Card/Tag
tools were selected to facilitate employee attendance in large numbers. The Information System will immediately record as soon as the card is attached to the Rfid Reader. In this study, researchers used the research method of the Borg and Gall (1987) model from 10 steps to 6 steps. The test results related to the design show the final value of the calculation is 3.0, then the system is declared valid. The validation test by system experts related to usage shows the final value of the calculation is 2.9, concluding that the system is very feasible to use. User Validation at PT. Usaha Mandiri Exporttama Semarang obtained the final value of the calculation is 3.5 stating that the system is feasible to use and very good. The performance test by 4 respondents of the old system and the new system with an average of 43.7% of the old work system, and 87.5% of the new work system showed that the new system was effective and efficient.

Abstrak:
The development of information system technology has penetrated the decision support system. Decision support systems can be applied in the selection of raw materials in manufacturing companies. The standard quantity of raw materials is the quantity of raw materials that should be used in the management of a particular product. Determining the standard of raw material quality starts from the application of product specifications, both regarding size, shape, color, characteristics, product processing and quality. Decision Support System (DSS) or Decision Support System (DSS) is a system which is able to provide alternatives in problem solving or can communicate for problems with semi-structured or unstructured conditions. This system is used to assist decision making in semi-structured and unstructured situations, where no one knows for sure how decisions should be made. Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is a concept where the best chosen alternative not only has the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution, but also has the longest distance from the negative ideal solution. This concept is widely used in several MADM (Multi Attribute Decision Making) models to solve practical decision problems. Research development uses the R & D (Research and Development) method which is a research method used to produce certain products and test certain products. In this study, only 6 steps were used. The total score for validation is 28. Based on the above calculation, it can be concluded that the validation results from the experts show a value of 4.0 which is between 3.26 - 4.0 which is classified as a very valid category.
