The purpose of this study was to determine the Economic Independence of the Nias Ethnic Group as a survival strategy in the face of social exclusion in Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency. The research method used was qualitative research. Data collection using techniques, observation, interviews and documentation. From the results of the study obtained. The economic independence of the Nias ethnic group can be seen from the existence of barbershops and tailors that have developed in Tarutung District. Social exclusion occurs among the Nias ethnic group which results in the Nias ethnic group preferring to create their own businesses. The economic adaptation strategy of the Nias ethnic group in Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency, that the economic adaptation strategy carried out by the Nias Ethnic Group is generally by utilizing social networks by utilizing social networks of family, friends, and communities. The Nias ethnic group who migrated to Tarutung, some of them have family or relatives who have migrated to Tarutung. Through the use of this network, the Nias ethnic group is able and easy to get information opportunities regarding job opportunities and business opportunities. Managing their own business is adjusted to their interests or skills, this business is limited in scale and managed by one individual. The Nias ethnic group establishes their own business because they have capital, either from capital collected by themselves or capital assistance from their families. adapting to existing jobs and in accordance with their respective skills. The development of the barbershop or sewing business of the Nias ethnic group in Tarutung greatly influences the development of the economic progress of the Nias ethnic group in Tarutung.

This research was conducted in Partali Toruan Village using qualitative research methods and informants who became informants were housewives in Partali Toruan Village. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, documentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that Facebook has an impact on changes in interaction patterns in mothers in Partali Toruan Village, North Tapanuli Regency and these changes are planned changes or come from one's own will. Meanwhile, the conclusions based on the researcher's sub-problems are as follows: Most of the core of the negative impact of Facebook on changes in interaction patterns with family and the Partali Toruan community environment on mothers in Partali Toruan Village, North Tapanuli Regency is making Facebook social media a money field, namely by selling online, and eliminating boredom. Facebook has a negative impact if its users misuse Facebook as a life regulator.

This study aims to describe the economic dynamics among street vendors (PKL) in Tarutung. Using a case study approach, this research identifies various factors influencing the sustainability and development of street vendor businesses, as well as the socio-economic impacts on the surrounding community. The primary focus of the study is to understand the role of PKL in the local economy, including job creation, income generation, and the challenges faced regarding government policies and business competition. Data was collected through field observation, in-depth interviews with vendors, and an analysis of relevant local policies. The findings reveal that although PKL face challenges related to regulations and market access, they play a crucial role in the economic dynamics of the region and can be key pillars in local economic development.

This study is entitled the distribution of inheritance in the Pakpak community in Sukamakmur Village. Gunung Meriah District, Aceh Singkil Regency, namely the distribution of inheritance in the past and present communities with the aim of knowing 1) The shift that occurred in the distribution of inheritance in the Pakpak community in Sukamakmur Village. 2) The factors behind the shift in the distribution of inheritance in the Pakpak community in Sukamakmur Village. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method, to understand what phenomena are experienced by the research subjects holistically, namely by describing them in words and language, based on the findings in the field. The results of the study show that the distribution of inheritance in the Pakpak community in Sukamakmur Village has shifted where in the past, the community in implementing inheritance drew a patrilineal system which drew the father's lineage so that the inheritance that was entitled and became the heir of the son so that parents prioritized sons in inheritance while if the Pakpak community drew a patrilineal lineage, of course the position and even the rights of daughters to get it were very non-existent, while at present the Pakpak community in Sukamakmur Village parents provide opportunities so that parents on average give their property to their daughters. Now the Pakpak community carries out inheritance in the past parents were required to present Kula-kula, Senina, Berru but what happened in the village was that some people no longer followed to present these three, in that community only distributed inheritance among themselves between parents and children only

The aim of the research is to find out the meaning of the fangasi ritual as a traditional ceremony after the death of the Nias tribe in Ononazara village, Tugala Oyo subdistrict, North Nias district. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research about the meaning of the fangasi ritual as a traditional ceremony after the death of the Nias tribe in Ononazara village, Tugala Oyo subdistrict, North Nias district. The result of this research is that the meaning of the fangasi ritual is the highest form of respect that the Nias tribe has for every person's life. The meaning of the fangasi ritual in Ononazara village is the last event for the person who has died. The fangasi ritual is carried out depending on its position in custom and also as a form of a child's obligation to his parents who have died with the aim of paying off the debts of his parents or the person who died while he was alive in the world. It can be concluded that the meaning of the fangasi ritual is a traditional ceremony implemented in the village of Ononazara, which is passed down from generation to generation, which aims to resolve the burden on the family of the deceased as a sign of final respect, and so that the spirits of the deceased will rest in peace.

The research background is related to inter-ethnic marriages carried out by couples with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, namely the Batak and Nias Adanva ethnicities. Differences in different linguistic and cultural backgrounds result in differences in interpreting and understanding the message or information conveyed, this can giving rise to misunderstandings. This research was conducted in Hutagodang Village, Kec. Batang Toru. South Tapanuli Regency.The main problem in this research is the description of intercultural communication and communication barriers between inter-ethnic marriage couples in Hutagodang Village. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the question and answer teaching method used by Jesus in John 4:1-28 has on the learning activity of Christian Religious Education for Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung TP 2023/2024, with the hypothesis that there is a positive and significant influence from the method. teaching questions and answers by Jesus in John 4:1-28 on the active learning of Christian Religious Education for Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung TP 2023/2024. This research is a population study, namely all 99 students. Data was collected using a closed questionnaire with 45 items compiled by the author based on variable indicators according to the conclusions according to experts' theories. The questionnaire trial was carried out on 48 respondents of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tarutung using a 45-item questionnaire and after being tested, the results of the validity of the questionnaire trial showed that the value of rcount > rtable = 0.159-0.715 > 0.284 (there were 6 question items that had validity less than rtable = 0.284, namely item numbers 21, 25, 27, 34, 37, 44) and the reliability of the questionnaire trial was at a value of 0.939. It has been tested for validity and reliability. However, in research at SMP N 4 Tarutung, invalid questionnaire items were replaced so that the research was carried out using a new questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is making a distribution table of respondents' answers based on alternative answers, making a distribution table of respondents' answers, looking for the correlation coefficient between X and Y by calculating the Product Moment correlation, testing the real level with the t test, knowing the degree of influence of variable test the hypothesis with the t test. This research concludes that there is a positive and significant influence between the question and answer teaching method by Jesus in John 4:1-28 on the learning activity of Christian Religious Education students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung TP 2023/2024 with the relationship test obtained rcount>rttable, namely 0.281> 0.195, with a significant test of the relationship between Tcount > Ttable, namely 2.875>1.985. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
