Abstrak:
High blood triglyceride levels indicate impaired fat metabolism and can trigger atherosclerosis, making hypertriglyceridemia a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD), metabolic syndrome, and acute pancreatitis. The productive-age population often experiences overnutrition due to unhealthy diets and low physical activity, increasing fat and triglyceride accumulation. Stress may also elevate triglyceride levels, necessitating early screening. The Community Service Program (PKM) at Assisi Church aimed to raise awareness of early dyslipidemia detection through triglyceride screening using Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) and educational counseling. Among 76 participants, 39 (57.35%) had high triglyceride levels, while 29 (42.65%) were normal. These findings highlight the importance of regular check-ups and continuous education to reduce cardiometabolic risks and promote healthier lifestyles.

Vitamin D is an essential steroid hormone that plays a role in calcium and phosphorus regulation and has the potential to affect sleep quality. Vitamin D deficiency in the elderly often occurs due to minimal exposure to sunlight and age-related physiological changes, which contribute to the high incidence of sleep disorders, including insomnia. This community service activity aims to screen vitamin D levels in the elderly as a cause of insomnia through the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach. The activity was carried out at Panti Bina Bhakti, South Tangerang, involving 93 elderly participants aged > 65 years. The results showed that the average vitamin D levels among the age groups 61-70 years, 71-80 years, 81-90 years, and 91-100 years were 7.6 mg/dl, 7.2 mg/dl, 7.6 mg/dl, and 13.9 mg/dl, respectively. Interventions through vitamin D supplementation, sunlight exposure, and education in the form of sleep hygiene are effective in improving the health and sleep quality of the elderly.

Dermatoporosis is a chronic skin fragility syndrome common in the elderly, characterized by thinning of the skin that increases the risk of injury, bruising, and delayed wound healing. Chronic hyperglycemia and poor glycemic control have been reported to be associated with an increased risk of dermatoporosis. This community service activity aims to screen blood sugar levels, HbA1c, and dermatoporosis and educate the elderly using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method at Panti Bina Bhakti, South Tangerang. This activity involved 93 elderly participants aged >65 years. Meanwhile, based on the results of the HbA1C examination, 52 people had moderate glycemic control and 24 people had poor glycemic control. The results of the dermatoporosis examination have not been included. Early intervention through education and monitoring of blood sugar levels can reduce the risk of dermatoporosis, improve the health of the elderly's skin, and reduce the burden of health care.

Abstract: Obesity is a global epidemic and a significant public health problem. In the elderly population, obesity is defined as a BMI ? 25 kg/m². In the United States, the prevalence of obesity among the elderly is 37.1% in men and 33.6% in women over the age of 60. Obesity increases the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease, and can cause psychological problems such as sleep disorders and lack of self-confidence. Accurate obesity risk assessment involves measuring Body Mass Index (BMI) and waist circumference. This activity uses the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology to screen for obesity in the elderly at Hana Nursing Home, South Tangerang. The screening includes anthropometric measurements of BMI and waist circumference, followed by evaluation and nutritional counseling for at-risk individuals. 9 people (14.75%) had overweight nutritional status, 3 people (4.92%) had obese nutritional status, and 35 people (57.38%) were at risk of central obesity. Routine anthropometric measurements are critical for monitoring obesity and implementing preventive measures to improve overall health outcomes, improve quality of life, and reduce obesity-related morbidity and mortality rates.

Hemoglobin and hematocrit are important parameters in assessing anemia and other blood diseases. Hemoglobin transports oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body, while hematocrit reflects the density of red blood cells in the blood. This community service activity was carried out at Kalam Kudus II High School, Duri Kosambi Village, Jakarta, involving 68 men and women of productive age. Screening activities are carried out by measuring hemoglobin and hematocrit levels using the For-A brand Point Of Care Testing (POCT) tool. The majority of respondents had normal hemoglobin levels (68.9%), while a small percentage experienced mild anemia (21.6%) and moderate anemia (9.5%). The average hemoglobin level was 13.28 g/dL and hematocrit 38.66%. The 18-35 year age group has the highest hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, while the 51-64 year age group has the lowest. Lifestyle factors, nutrition, genetics, and chronic medical conditions influence hemoglobin and hematocrit levels. Regular monitoring is important in detecting and managing anemia and improving public health.

Abstrak:
The skin, the largest organ in the human body, provides protection against the external environment by covering the entire exterior surface of the body. Dermatoporosis is a skin fragility syndrome that develops as time progresses. Extrinsic and intrinsic factors contribute to skin aging, whereas extrinsic factors comprise nutrition, smoking, ionizing radiation, and solar exposure. In the elderly, the incidence of dermatoporosis is higher. In Europe, the incidence of dermatoporosis varies between 30 and 37%. Dermatoporosis is distinguished by the presence of slender, fragile, and shredded skin. This renders elderly individuals susceptible to complications related to hemorrhaging and infections, thereby exerting a detrimental influence on their overall health and well-being. It is anticipated that by engaging in this exercise, participants will develop a greater understanding of the significance of skin health maintenance.
