Disaster preparedness and response are critical components of community health resilience, yet the role of homecare nursing within this framework remains underexplored. This study aims to investigate and synthesize existing research on how homecare nurses contribute to disaster management, with a focus on preparedness and response phases. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA 2020 methodology, 38 peer-reviewed articles from major databases were analyzed thematically. Key findings reveal that homecare nurses play significant roles in early warning communication, individualized evacuation planning, and continuity of care post-disaster, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the elderly and chronically ill. However, evidence also indicates substantial gaps in training, policy inclusion, and structural integration into national disaster response systems. Thematic synthesis identified three dominant themes: decentralized preparedness, home-based continuity care, and systemic underrecognition of homecare in emergency frameworks. The study concludes that homecare nursing is a strategic yet underutilized asset in disaster risk reduction and recovery efforts. Strengthening policy, competency frameworks, and formal inclusion of homecare in disaster governance are necessary to enhance community resilience globally.

Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) training is crucial for emergency preparedness among high school students. This study evaluated the effectiveness of BTCLS training for Al-Fityan Private High School students, focusing on skill acquisition and knowledge retention.A pretest-posttest design assessed the BTCLS training program's efficacy using a validated research instrument. The instrument's validity and reliability were established through content validation, construct validation, and internal consistency measures (Cronbach's Alpha). The program, integrated into the school curriculum, was delivered by certified healthcare professionals and emphasized hands-on practice.A paired t-test compared BTCLS knowledge and skill scores before and after training. Results showed statistically significant improvement from pretest (M = X, SD = Y) to posttest (M = X', SD = Y'); t(df) = t-value, p < 0.05. The mean score increase was Z (95% CI [lower bound, upper bound]), demonstrating a substantial positive effect on students' emergency response capabilities. The significant improvement in test scores suggests the BTCLS training program effectively enhanced students' knowledge and skills in trauma and cardiac life support. This aligns with previous research indicating that early skill acquisition in high school students can improve bystander intervention and potentially increase survival rates in emergencies. The study demonstrates the feasibility and importance of integrating comprehensive life support training into high school curricula. Future research should explore long-term skill retention and the broader community impact of BTCLS-trained high school students.

The use of social media in various aspects including health has increased in recent years. The effectiveness and efficiency of the use of social media in health promotion efforts by hospitals are advantages compared to using conventional media. This study aims to obtain information about the use of social media by hospitals in efforts to organize hospital health promotion from the perspective of: 1) types of social media used, 2) program effectiveness, 3) level of involvement, and 4) efforts to increase the level of involvement. From a search of 62 articles (time span 2017-2022) using the Google Scholar and Garuda databases and the keywords media, social, hospital, promotion, and health, researchers found 3 articles that were appropriate based on the title, abstract, content and purpose of the study. This literature study revealed that social media has high effectiveness and efficiency in organizing health promotion programs by hospitals. Another finding is that Instagram is the most widely used social media platform with the highest level of involvement compared to other social media platforms. Interesting and unique efforts and strategies can further increase the level of public involvement in hospital social media accounts so that there is an increase in awareness of healthy living in Indonesian society.

Poor environmental sanitation and malnutrition are the leading causes of STH infection. This study aims to determine the relationship between ecological sanitation, nutritional status, and STH infection incidence in elementary school children. This type of research is descriptive research. The research location is UPT SDN 060831, Medan City. The sample was 32 respondent, Medan City students, obtained using the total sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaire instruments, Body Mass Index (BMI) examinations, and fecal examinations. The data were further analyzed univariately. The results showed that most environmental sanitation conditions did not qualify, such as latrine conditions (68.8%), SPAL conditions (75.0%), trash can conditions (87.5%), and clean water facilities (68.8%). Nutritional status (BMI/U) was most in the normal category (65.6%), and no helminth eggs were found in respondents (negative STH), so a relationship analysis could not be carried out. It is suggested that the school and parents support government programs related to providing mass worm- prevention drugs.

Hospital Information Systems (HIS), or Sistem Informasi Rumah Sakit (SIRS), play a critical role in enhancing administrative efficiency, decision support, and healthcare service quality. However, their implementation and effectiveness vary significantly across healthcare settings, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This study aims to systematically evaluate the existing literature on HIS effectiveness, implementation barriers, and administrative impact. Using a PRISMA-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, we examined 14 high-quality studies from multiple scholarly databases including PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Garuda. The review applied a hybrid thematic synthesis grounded in HOT-FIT and DeLone & McLean models, combined with a normalized quality scoring system. The findings reveal that HIS implementations positively influence administrative workflow, billing accuracy, and patient throughput, though outcomes are context-dependent. Key challenges include lack of interoperability, resistance to change, and insufficient training. Notably, regulatory mandates and national digital health policies were found to significantly enhance HIS adoption and sustainability. This review contributes a multidimensional synthesis of HIS performance, highlighting the importance of human, organizational, and policy alignment. It offers an evidence-backed framework for HIS evaluation that bridges theory and practice. We conclude that integrated, context-sensitive HIS models are essential for advancing hospital management and public health systems, and recommend further empirical studies on long-term impact and cross-sector integration.

One of the main challenges faced by workers in the palm oil industry is routine health monitoring. Therefore, innovation is needed in the form of health monitoring tools that can facilitate and increase the efficiency of employee health monitoring. The Internet of Things (IoT) has become an increasingly popular solution to overcome these challenges. The use of this technology is expected to increase employee health resilience, detect potential health problems early, and provide a quick response to health conditions that require medical attention.
