Marginal coastal land has not been able to be utilized optimally by communities around the coast for agriculture. So far, coastal sand land has limited management and is considered to be poor. With the limited beach sand land, efforts need to be made to increase its productivity by providing soil improvement materials and by the right way to fertilize. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying soil amendments and doses of TSP fertilizer to marginal coastal land. The location of this research was carried out in Sidorejo Village, Langsa Lama District, Langsa City with an altitude of ± 10 m above sea level. This research was structured using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), as the first factor, namely the type of soil amendment material P1 (husk charcoal), P2 (wood charcoal), P3 (zeolite) and P4 (clay), the second factor was the level of TSP fertilizer dose, namely D0 (0 kg)/ha), D1 (100 kg/ha), D2 (150 kg/ha), D3 (200 kg/ha) and D4 (250 kg/ha). Data were analyzed using anova (F experiment) from the 5% and 1% levels. If the treatment has a real effect, then continue with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The research results showed that the type of soil amendment material had a very significant effect on the parameters of number of branches and number of pods per plant. The best results were found in the soil amendment type P2 (husk charcoal). And the dose of TSP fertilizer has a very significant effect on the number of pods per plant. The best results were obtained on D4 (25 g/polybag).

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the duration of young coconut water soaking and different growing media on the viability of Arabica coffee seeds after mechanical scarification, as well as to identify the interaction between these two factors. This research was conducted over a period of three months, from July to September 2023, at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Samudra University, Langsa City. The study was designed using a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern, consisting of two factors: (1) the duration of soaking in young coconut water, which included 4 levels: L0 = Control, L1 = 3 hours, L2 = 6 hours, and L3 = 9 hours; and (2) growing media, which included 3 levels: M1 = Soil: manure, M2 = Soil: manure: rice husk, and M3 = Soil: manure: cocopeat. The parameters observed in this study were maximum growth potential, germination rate, seedling height, root length, seedling fresh weight, and seedling dry weight. The results showed that the duration of soaking in young coconut water did not have any significant effect on all observed parameters. However, different growing media had a highly significant effect on maximum growth potential, germination rate, seedling height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight of the Arabica coffee seedlings. The M1 treatment gave the best results for maximum growth potential, germination rate, seedling fresh weight, and seedling dry weight, while the M3 treatment provided the best results for seedling height and root length of Arabica coffee seeds. There was no interaction between the duration of young coconut water soaking and different growing media on all parameters of Arabica coffee seed viability.

Increased economic growth in the city of Parepare with the presence of buildings around the estuary. In general, the composition of concrete making materials is taken from good materials. The problem encountered in the field is that the quality of concrete in construction decreases due to brackish water, causing structural elements in the construction to become porous. Meanwhile, preventive measures are rarely or never taken. As a result, the construction life is very short. Brackish water is one of the causes of structural failure. This is due to the content of sulfate and chloride ions in water containing salt/salts that react with chemical elements in reinforcing steel resulting in corrosion of the reinforcement. The purpose of the study was to analyse the compressive strength of concrete with a mixture of clean water against the percentage of brackish water with a maintenance age of 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. The results showed that brackish water had an impact on reducing the compressive strength of concrete due to the high chemical content in brackish water such as Sulfate (SO²¯) of 52.5 in brackish water in Kenjeran and 62.5 in brackish water in mangrove. Dissolved Solids (TDS) of 15188 mg/l in kenjeran brackish water and 3436 mg/l in mangrove brackish water. Organic Content (KMnO) of 8.05 mg/l in kenjeran brackish water and 6.69 mg/l in mangrove brackish water is too high, so the chemical content contained in brackish water can damage the compounds in the cement content and decrease the strength of the materials contained in the concrete. In this case it can result in concrete having a very low durability.
