This study aims to determine: (1) description of adversity quotient and bravery, persistence, integrity and vitality (2) the influence of bravery, persistence, integrity and vitality on adversity quotient in high school adolescents in Tarakan City. This research is a correlation research with a quantitative approach. The study population was public high school students in Tarakan city which amounted to 4,416. The research sample of 370 people was taken by the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling. The variables studied were Bravery (X?), Persistence (X?), Integrity (X?), Vitality (X?) and Adversity Quotient (Y). The data collection method uses an instrument in the form of a scale. Reliability test using Cronbach's alpha technique, which resulted in p=0.853 for Adversity Quotient variable and p=0.837 for bravery, persistence, integrity and vitality variable. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS 26 for windows program. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between Bravery, Persistence, Integrity and Vitality to Adversity Quotient (AQ) at the 5% significance level. (1). Bravery has a positive relationship with AQ (tcount = 5.695; p = 0.000). (2) Persistence has a significant effect on AQ (tcount = -27.904; p = 0.000). (3) Integrity also has a significant effect (tcount = 2.558; p = 0.011). (4) Vitality has a significant effect on AQ (tcount = 5.409; p = 0.000). Overall, bravery, persistence, integrity and vitality together affect Adversity Quotient, indicated by the Fcount value of 206.475 (greater than Ftable 2.396) with R Square 0.694. This means that these variables provide 69.4% influence on Adversity Quotient, while the remaining 30.6% is influenced by other factors.
