The quick advancement of digital technology has drastically changed the social and religious life of Indonesian teenagers. The purpose of this study is to investigate how pupils at Al Muslim Junior High School's daily worship practices, self-control, and fear of missing out (FoMO) affect the principles of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The study used a quantitative methodology with a causal and correlational design. All students in grades VII, VIII, and IX made up the study population for the 2025–2026 school year. Using the Slovin formula, a proportionate stratified sample of 171 students with a 5% margin of error was chosen. A five-point Likert scale questionnaire was used to gather data. The Pearson Product-Moment correlation (r > 0.30) was used to evaluate validity, while Cronbach's Alpha (α > 0.70) was used to test reliability. Multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26 was used for quantitative analysis, beginning with traditional assumption tests for heteroscedasticity (Glejser), multicollinearity (VIF), and normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov). According to the analysis results, self-control had a substantial, favorable impact on the practice of PAI values, but FoMO had no significant influence (β = -0.034, p = 0.530).

Adolescents are considered a vulnerable group to nutritional problems because they experience rapid physical growth accompanied by lifestyle changes and unhealthy eating habits. The increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity among teenagers has become a major public health concern that requires serious attention. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between peer influence, the frequency of eating out, and fast-food consumption habits with the incidence of overweight among students at SMAN 1 Surabaya. The research applied a quantitative approach using an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional method. A total of 81 students participated in the study and were selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, SQ-FFQ forms, and anthropometric measurements, then analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. The findings revealed significant associations between peer influence, eating out frequency, and fast-food consumption habits with the occurrence of overweight among adolescents. Students who more frequently consumed meals outside the home and regularly ate fast food showed a greater tendency to experience overweight and obesity. These results indicate that social environments and modern dietary patterns contribute to the increasing prevalence of overweight among adolescents. Therefore, nutrition education and healthy lifestyle promotion should be strengthened through the involvement of schools, families, and peer groups.

The shift in the international political order from a unipolar to a multipolar system has created increasingly complex global security dynamics and the potential for conflicts among states. This condition requires improving international political literacy among civil society, particularly Indonesian youth, so they can critically understand and respond to geopolitical transformations. In response to this urgency, this Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to enhance students’ global issue literacy through the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) Goes To School (FGTS) 5.0 program themed Conflict & Military. The activity was conducted on April 6, 2026, involving 40 eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 97 Jakarta. The implementation method combined interactive lectures with popular culture references to make the material easier for teenagers to understand. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests in the form of multiple-choice quizzes. The material covered the concept of United States national interests, the Board of Peace (BoP) security initiative, Realism Theory, and the conflicts involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The evaluation results showed that students had strong understanding of popular global issues but limited comprehension of technical aspects related to international institutions, such as the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Therefore, future international political literacy programs should focus more on strategic and technical issues that are less familiar to the public.

This research aims to examine and analyze the phenomenon of speeding and illegal racing, which poses a significant threat to traffic safety within the legal jurisdiction of the Buleleng Resort Police (Polres Buleleng). The study employs empirical legal research methods, gathering primary data through observations and interviews with traffic police officers, alongside secondary data from legal literature and previous studies. The findings indicate that the speeding phenomenon in Buleleng is predominantly carried out by teenagers and young adults, often motivated by social media trends, peer pressure, and the search for identity. This reckless behavior leads to a high rate of traffic accidents, frequently resulting in severe injuries or fatalities. Furthermore, law enforcement efforts by Polres Buleleng face several challenges, including the high mobility of the perpetrators, lack of personnel during specific hours, and low legal awareness among the public. Preventive measures such as counseling in schools and repressive measures like electronic traffic law enforcement (E-TLE) and routine patrols need to be optimized. This study concludes that an integrated approach involving the police, educational institutions, and parents is crucial to mitigating the speeding phenomenon and ensuring traffic safety.

Child grooming is a form of non-physical sexual abuse that involves gradual emotional manipulation, often making it difficult to detect. It typically begins with the abuser gaining the child’s trust and gradually introducing inappropriate behavior, with the goal of sexual exploitation. This study aims to explore the phenomenon of child grooming and the crucial role of guidance and counseling in preventing and managing such cases. The method employed is a literature review, analyzing various relevant scientific articles and research studies. The findings indicate that child grooming is influenced by several factors, including individual traits, family dynamics, and the use of digital media, which has become an increasingly prevalent platform for such abuse. Victims of grooming often experience significant psychological and social consequences, including trauma, emotional distress, and difficulty in forming healthy relationships. Guidance and counseling services are essential in the prevention, early detection, and intervention in grooming cases. These services provide support for both potential victims and their families, helping them understand and recognize the signs of grooming. Additionally, counseling plays a key role in victim recovery, offering psychological support to overcome the lasting impacts of abuse. This research underscores the need for proactive measures and comprehensive guidance and counseling strategies to address child grooming effectively.

The increasing use of facial cosmetics among adolescents and young adults is not always accompanied by adequate cosmetic literacy, potentially leading to skin health problems. Many consumers choose products based on trends without understanding their skin type, ingredients, and safety aspects, which can lead to skin barrier damage, irritation, and long-term dermatological disorders. This study aims to analyze the influence of cosmetic choices on facial skin health through a literature review. The method used was a qualitative literature study with a purposive sampling technique of scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025 that were relevant to the behavior of adolescents and young adults and the impact of cosmetic ingredients on the skin. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and cosmetic choices. The results show that cosmetic knowledge tends to be high, but is not always followed by appropriate selection behavior, with varying correlation strengths. These findings confirm that cosmetic literacy contributes to the tendency to choose more appropriate products, but is not the sole determining factor. Therefore, education is needed that emphasizes cognitive aspects while fostering critical attitudes in choosing cosmetics safely and responsibly.

The rapid development of digital technology and its increasing number of users have led to increased use of online games among adolescents. A frequently encountered behavioral problem is aggressive behavior resulting from online gaming. The research method used was a literature review by examining various previous research articles relevant to the research topic. The sources used were scientific journals discussing aggressive behavior due to online gaming in adolescents. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to obtain an overview of the level of tendency for aggressive behavior to emerge, which is influenced by the intensity of online gaming. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between aggressive behavior and the intensity of online gaming. Therefore, the implication is that guidance and counseling should not only focus on behavioral management but also efforts to detect early and prevent it through assessment, early screening of risky behavior, information services, psychoeducation on digital literacy, play time management, and emotional management. Collaboration between guidance counselors, teachers, and parents is crucial in integrating students' behavioral development sustainably, so that guidance and counseling services become a system that plays a role in reducing the risk of aggressive behavior due to online gaming in adolescents.

Advances in information technology have ushered society into the new media era, where social media is not just an information tool but also a new social space for teenagers. Instagram, as a visual-based platform, plays a significant role in shaping the reality of ideal lifestyles. Teenagers, who are in the process of discovering their identities, are susceptible to the influence of influencers and aesthetically constructed lifestyle trends on social media. This often triggers a shift in consumption patterns from functional to symbolic needs. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects consisted of 10 students from the 2025 class of International Women University in Bandung, aged 18-20. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction and presentation. The findings indicate that all subjects are active social media users, spending 4 to 9 hours per day. They use Instagram as a means of building their personal branding and seeking lifestyle references. There is a tendency for consumer behavior driven by four main factors: peer influence and the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) phenomenon, the use of goods as symbols of social identity (sign value), exposure to persuasive content from opinion leaders or influencers, and consumption as psychological compensation (self-reward) to relieve academic stress. Students tend to make impulsive purchases of viral fashion, beauty, and culinary products to gain social recognition online.

The advancement of digital technology has led to the extensive adoption of social media by teenagers. Social media has become a means of communication, entertainment, and an easily accessible source of information, but its use also has various impacts on adolescent mental health. This study aims to examine the influence of social media on adolescent mental health through a literature review approach. The method used was a literature review, reviewing various scientific journals, books, and academic articles relevant to the topic of social media and adolescent mental health. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively and qualitatively to identify patterns of findings and trends in previous research. The findings of the research show that social media usage has both beneficial and detrimental effects on the mental health of adolescents. On the positive side, social media also can be means of self-expression, expanding social networks, and obtaining emotional support. However, excessive and uncontrolled social media use possesses the ability to create adverse effects, such as increased anxiety, stress, depression, low self-confidence, and impaired self-image due to social comparison. Furthermore, exposure to negative content, cyberbullying, and pressure to gain social approval also contribute to the decline in adolescent psychological well-being. The duration of use, the type of platform, and adolescents' ability to manage emotions and time also influence the level of perceived impact. Therefore, the active role of parents, educators, and the social environment is needed to provide guidance and digital literacy education so that teenagers can utilize social media sensibly. Through effective management, it is anticipated that social media can be used constructively while prioritizing adolescent mental health.

Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior commonly experienced by adolescents and has significant impacts on both physical and mental health. Schools, as primary social environments for teenagers, often become settings where bullying occurs. Several factors contribute to this behavior, particularly peer influence, family roles, and social media use. This study aimed to analyze factors related to bullying behavior among adolescents in a junior high school, including respondent characteristics, peer influence, family roles, and social media usage, as well as their relationships with bullying behavior. This research used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design involving 71 eighth-grade students as respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed with the Chi-Square test. The results showed significant relationships between peer factors (p=0.003), family roles (p<0.001), and social media use (p=0.001) with bullying behavior. A large proportion of respondents reported high social media usage (45.1%) and low family involvement (45.1%), while more than half (53.5%) were categorized as being at risk of engaging in bullying behavior. These findings indicate that adolescents are strongly influenced by their social environment, both offline and online. Negative peer interactions and limited family supervision can increase the likelihood of bullying behavior. In conclusion, peer factors, family roles, and social media use are significantly associated with bullying among adolescents. Therefore, collaboration between families, schools, and communities is essential through psychosocial assessments, increased family involvement, and character education programs to prevent and reduce bullying behavior.

The rapid and significant development of technology in the world has made online games a very popular form of entertainment among teenagers and students. Easy access to online games through gadgets has led to an increase in the number of teenagers playing online games. This condition has both positive and negative impacts on education, particularly on students' interest in learning. This study aims to analyze in depth the influence of online games on the lives and learning achievements of teenagers based on previous articles. We chose a literature study method for this research, and the data sources were obtained from articles relevant to the discussion. The data collection technique was carried out by reading and examining important information from the articles used. The results of the study show that online games have both positive and negative impacts on teenagers. The positive impacts can be seen in games that are educational and relevant to learning, as they can increase motivation, curiosity, and skills in teenagers. However, if played excessively and without supervision, online games tend to reduce concentration, decrease study time, and impact academic achievement, psychological well-being, and the health of adolescents. Therefore, the role of parents and teachers is crucial in controlling, guiding, and monitoring the use of online games so that adolescents can use them wisely and support the learning process wherever they are.

Vaping is when you inhale a mist through a power based device, filled with flavourings, chemicals, and nicotine (Texas Health and Human Services, nd). Teenagers tend to vape due to external influences such as advertisements and social interactions, which has a significant contribution in the role of gaining societal acceptance of vaping amongst teenagers (CDC, nd). However its use in teenagers is illegal as per the Indonesian Government Regulation Number 109 2012, which restricts individuals below 18 years old from vaping. A study conducted in 2018 has reported that teenagers have started vaping from 2017. Despite rules and regulations, teenagers are still able to access it which makes the law enforcement ineffective that leads to teenagers being able to have access to vapes. This research will investigate the influence of social media and peer pressure on underage vaping, focusing on how contents on social media, their peers along with social interactions shape the perspective and behaviour of a teenager towards vaping. This following topic is important as social media plays a significant role in the normalisation of vaping despite harmful effects. It aims to recognize how social media and interactions among fellow peers influence a teenager. With the use of qualitative and quantitative methods such as surveys and interviews, it will also apply theories from 3 thinkers to have a better understanding of a teenager’s decision.

Divorce is the legal and religious termination of a husband-wife relationship. This severance of the relationship can have psychological consequences, making children more susceptible to depression. These psychological impacts include deep sadness, resulting in depression, feelings of loss, shame, anger, disappointment, denial, self-acceptance, and feelings of blame toward the parents. These psychological impacts are naturally the result of the support, emotional support, and presence of the parents before, during, and after the divorce. This study employed a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, conducted through semi-structured interviews. The aim is to raise awareness among readers that divorce not only impacts the husband and wife but also the psychological impact on children, which is often considered unimportant. However, the mental health of children after divorce is a crucial issue that requires attention. This is where the role of parents is crucial in shaping their character and psychological development. This study concludes that children who are victims of divorce tend to seek out activities outside the home, as the integrity of their home is no longer there. Children experience sadness and loss most acutely. Furthermore, children are more wary of future relationships due to a loss of trust in the meaning of romantic relationships. Low self-acceptance also makes it difficult for children to control their emotions.
