This research delves into the intricate realm of maritime education, focusing on the academic and professional preparedness of Semester 3 cadets at the Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta). Anchored in a qualitative descriptive approach, the study synthesizes document analysis and cadet surveys to unravel the multifaceted dynamics shaping the educational landscape. The document analysis reveals a curriculum at STIP Jakarta that aligns commendably with international standards, supported by comprehensive lecturer training programmes. However, the nuanced cadet perspectives spotlight a need for refined emphasis on the practical application of English proficiency in real-world maritime scenarios. Cadet self-assessment underscores both confidence in academic intelligence and an identified need for additional language support, calling for targeted interventions. Exploring professional competences uncovers a disparity between technical proficiency and English Maritime communication, highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to bridge this gap. Cadet motivations vary from a genuine passion for maritime activities to the allure of lucrative career prospects and international recognition. Recognizing this diversity urges the need for personalised career guidance and mentorship programmes. The research also sheds light on English Maritime and Literacy proficiency, differentiating between basic skills and the ability to handle complex communication scenarios. Recommendations include integrating advanced language modules and tailored language support initiatives within the curriculum, ensuring a seamless development of linguistic skills alongside technical competences. In conclusion, this research offers a comprehensive understanding of maritime education at STIP Jakarta, unveiling challenges and opportunities that resonate globally. This training plays a crucial role in providing training to 37 participants in Nagari Bukit Batabuah, Agam Regency. It focuses on micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. Pre-training needs analysis helped the community service team understand the challenges faced by the partners and identify their primary needs. Survey data indicates that the majority of participants have been actively involved in various business sectors, with many already owning their businesses. Income analysis suggests income variation, with most participants falling into the middle and upper-middle-income categories. In the context of digital marketing, Shopee emerges as the primary platform chosen by participants, while diversification through WhatsApp Business, Facebook, and Instagram is also evident. This training provides a deep understanding and practical skills to MSME entrepreneurs, assisting them in developing effective marketing strategies and leveraging the full potential of online media for business growth

The need for education regarding the types of contraceptives will have an impact on increasing knowledge and choice of contraceptives in women. At the same time, adjustments to technological developments also need to be made, so the team designed a mobile web-based of Sistem Informasi Kontrasepsi Rasional (SIKONTRAS) which is intended for the wider community in ease of obtaining information related to contraceptives. This socialization activity resulted in two things, namely an increase in knowledge related to contraception and an increase in skills in using the SIKONTRAS Application resulting from the questionnaire at the point "The application is easy to use", out of 21 participants, 18 participants chose "strongly agree", so it can be said that the application is easy to use. use

The storytelling competition, as one of the featured competitions in the 2022 Langsep Challenge at Santa Maria Langsep Catholic High School, Malang, was the main highlight of the event. This event showcases the creativity and expertise of the competition participants in telling stories in an interesting and engaging way. Participants from various junior high schools compete to win the champion title in this competition. The various stories presented include interesting themes related to folklore. The competition jury, which consists of experienced lecturers, observes and assesses each participant's presentation based on criteria such as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, how to tell a story, mastery of the stage, clothing, properties used, moral message, time management, and so on. This competition is not only an opportunity to show students' speaking skills, but also develop creative thinking and self-expression skills. With full support from the school and the enthusiasm of the participants, the Story Telling Competition at Langsep Challenge 2022 created an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and joy among students.

This classroom action research aims to improve reading skills through Jigsaw type cooperative learning for class VI students at SD Inpres, Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. The subjects of this research were 40 grade VI students at SD Inpres Multilevel Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. Academic Year 2023/2024. This PTK consists of 2 cycles, each consisting of 3 meetings. Data collection was carried out using the results of students' work when carrying out actions and observation sheets. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results achieved were: (1) students' reading ability before the action was held was in the low category with an average score of 4.88 from the highest possible score of 10. (2) Students' reading ability after taking action in the form of Jigsaw type cooperative learning in Cycle I was in the high category with an average score of 8.04 from the highest possible score of 10. (3) Students' reading ability after taking action, in the form of learning by applying models Jigsaw type cooperative learning in Cycle II was in the very high category with an average score of 8.84 from the highest possible score of 10. (4) There was an increase in the percentage of student attendance. (5) Students' interest, attention and motivation in participating in the learning process using the Jigsaw cooperative model has also increased, this can be seen from the increase in student activity in the learning process. The results of this research also show changes on the teacher's side, initially teachers were less creative in using various Jigsaw type cooperative learning strategies, which had a good impact, apparently being able to motivate and increase teacher interest in developing effective learning.

One of valuable asset of the nation is various caltural since all we know that Indonesia has rich variaty culture widely spreaded in the nation, from Sabang to Marauke. The country of Indonesia has enormous cultural capital, has the potential to function as a source of accelerating national development more quickly.A qualitative method used in this type of reseach and included checking incident. It is a technique that combines qualitative and descriptive analysis and is used to conduct this kind of research. Findings are presented in descriptive narrative, and the authors emphasize the natural and holistic focus and multi-method research.Family can take an important role in developing their childrent's socializing skill by helping the children to understand how to respect the tradition of Ash Table, and also introducing the kids  the value of religion  and culture that related to their ritual.Moreover, family has a good chance to take a part as a model for others by maintaining the consistency this routine excercise to practice. This practice has the ability to lead the family to be solid and an excellent reminder of their background of ancestors and spiritual that they share to one each other.

This study aims to explore the role of English proficiency in accounting information systems, as well as its implications for global financial reporting. The study was conducted for one month in January 2024 at STIE Ganesha, involving 20 college students. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data collection through interviews and observation. The findings show that English proficiency has a significant impact on the use of accounting information systems and understanding of global financial reporting. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing English language skills among accounting students and professionals to improve the quality of financial reporting accessed globally. This research is important because it fills a gap in understanding of the role of English proficiency in accounting information systems for global financial reporting. The implication is that a better understanding of the relationship between English proficiency and needs in the context of accounting information systems will help prepare accounting students for more success in their careers, especially in an increasingly connected global business environment. In addition, this research can also provide new insights for educational institutions and the world of work in designing curricula and training that are more relevant and effective in preparing accounting professionals to deal with future global challenges.

Training on the Use of Code.org-based Educational Games in Delivering Material in Schools is a community service activity which aims to improve teachers' skills in using video-based learning media. This activity was carried out at SDN Kedungdalem II, attended by 12 teachers. This abstract explains the reasons for choosing this topic, namely to overcome challenges in delivering material in schools and utilizing the potential of technology in the learning process. The method used is interactive training and direct practice in creating and editing educational games for learning. During the training, teachers were provided with knowledge about code.org-based educational game concepts and technical skills to create interesting and effective educational games. The results of the training show an increase in teacher skills in using code.org-based educational games and more active student participation in learning. Teachers report increased student learning motivation and better understanding of concepts after implementing code.org-based educational games in the classroom. The conclusion from this activity is that this training succeeded in providing significant benefits for teachers and students. Using educational games based on code.org can improve the quality of learning and produce a more interactive learning environment

Graphic design has become a necessity in various areas of life, including branding and website design. Nowadays, graphic design has become an important part of various sectors of life, especially to support the economic and marketing sectors. Therefore, graphic design visual arts abilities and skills are very necessary. This is an opportunity to equip young people with graphic design skills. The results of a survey conducted by the service team showed that Medan city teenagers have a high interest in graphic design art. So real efforts need to be made to equip Medan city teenagers with graphic design skills. Therefore, in this community service activity, graphic design training and assistance was carried out using the Canva application to increase the creativity of Medan city teenagers. The method of implementing community service is in the form of lectures providing material directly by resource persons to partners.

As payment for conducting the audit, the auditor will impose audit fees on the entity being audited. A number of variables, such as the task's complexity, the level of skill needed to complete it, the pay scale for knowledge development programs, and other professional considerations, affect the fees that auditors charge to do audits. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of audit fees for the Indonesia Stock Exchange's banking subsector between 2021 and 2022 on corporate risk, internal audit function, and board of commissioners independence. The study's population comprises firms that have been indexed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for a certain timeframe, spanning from 2021 to 2022. Purposive selection was used to pick data from 100 banking subsectors that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the study sample. In this study, quantitative analysis is used. The Eviews 12 software was used to conduct the analysis. The findings of the partial test indicate that the audit fee is influenced by the risk of the internal audit function and the independence of the board of commissioners, but that company risk and board independence have no effect on the audit fee.

Because they aid in the understanding of the actual world by students, internships are an essential component of curricula in higher education. The Independent Campus Learning Internship program, which was introduced by the Republic of Indonesia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology at the beginning of 2020, is the subject of this study. The purpose of this program is to expose students to the outside world. experience working in an environment relevant to their subject of study in order to enhance graduates' hard and soft skills. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine what competencies accounting students pick up from their MBKM internships across a range of sectors. In order to collect data for this study, accounting students in Indonesia who are doing MBKM internships are sent Google forms over social media. Using descriptive statistical methods, the data was analyzed, and 87 out of the 98 respondents made up a viable sample size. The analysis's findings demonstrated that most students had made progress in the hard and soft abilities needed in the job. The majority of students concur that their confidence in working in accounting has grown as a result of their internships, which have also enabled them to work independently on tasks, cooperate with others, evaluate data, and solve problems on their own. The majority of interns who complete their internships receive employment offers, demonstrating the effectiveness of internship programs in enhancing the abilities that businesses and industry deman.

Online lectures have become the wrong option in our digital age. Therefore, in this online lecture procedure, the lecturer was required to be able to produce media and lecture approaches. A favorable learning environment, student participation, lecturer performance during instruction, lecture media, and method are a few of the variables that affect the attainment of lecture skills. This study aims to investigate and characterize the efforts made by lecturers to increase student engagement in online courses. This study used a case study approach to qualitative research as its methodology. The study's findings indicate that there are numerous challenges facing online lectures in the current digital era, including a dearth of engaged students, a lack of infrastructure and resources for lecturers and students, as well as network and Internet issues and data availability quotas. All of the lectures given in online classrooms by professors have an impact. The study's findings suggest that lecturers should try to be innovative and creative during the stages of preparing, implementing, and evaluating lectures online.

The 2013 curriculum focuses on developing students' knowledge, understanding, abilities, values, attitudes and interests, with the aim of enabling them to apply this knowledge in a practical way. At the same time, it encourages independent learning based on each student's abilities, while providing opportunities for the development of character and important skills. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature study review. This research aims to determine the differences between the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum in various aspects, including characteristics, objectives, competencies, assessment methods and roles. The findings of this research can help the government choose a more effective curriculum for students, thereby optimizing the learning process for their future. Based on the research we conducted, we have drawn conclusions and provided recommendations to the government, emphasizing the need for well-developed policies, thorough outreach, and comprehensive teacher training before implementing curriculum changes. In the end, it is the teacher who will be directly involved with students in the learning process.

The present study was conducted during school closure during the pandemic period, from 2020 to 2022. This study aims to explore teachers’ responses to the difficulties in using the online platform, and how teachers cope with the challenges in running online classes. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study participants were seven junior high school teachers in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. They had mixed work experiences. The results of the study showed that teachers responded differently to the demand for teaching using an online platform. Most teachers conducted online classes on a pro forma basis in order to comply with government policies. They viewed themselves unprepared to participate in online classes. The study also found teachers’ difficulties in teaching online classes due to students’ lack of adequate knowledge, skills and motivation in utilizing the online platforms provided by their schools. The study concludes that there is a need for comprehensive training and support for teachers to effectively adapt to online teaching methods. Additionally, it suggests that schools should invest in improving students' digital literacy skills to enhance their engagement and success in online learning environments.

The development of the times is so fast that the role of education becomes very important in helping students to have a high skilled side.  The use of project-based learning models is one way to help students think creatively. This learning model is often called project-based learning which is included in the independent curriculum. The project-based learning model is designed to facilitate the development of students' creativity skills through the application of real projects that are relevant to the learning material.  This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study. The data contained in this study comes from previous studies that have been documented in the form of journals and books.  The results showed that the application of project-based learning model was significantly able to improve students' creative thinking ability. Students showed improvement in the ability to formulate new ideas, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively. In addition, they developed positive attitudes towards learning, increased motivation, and experienced improvements in the understanding of learning concepts. This research contributes to understanding the use of project-based learning model, as an effective strategy to enhance students' creativity in educational contexts. The application of the findings in this study can help educators and policy makers

The rapid advancement in information technology has transformed the landscape of accounting, making it increasingly computerized, enhancing efficiency through the automation of routine tasks, enabling real-time access to financial data, and providing more sophisticated data analytics capabilities. However, alongside these benefits, technology also brings challenges related to data security and changing regulations, necessitating accountants to continuously develop their technological skills. Online collaboration between accountants and clients is becoming more common, reflecting the influence of information technology on the evolution of accounting practices. Technological developments also affect Accounting Information Systems (AIS), changing the way data is processed, internal controls are implemented, and financial information is prepared. Despite initial concerns, the advancement of IT ultimately opens up new opportunities, such as computer-based information system audits, computer-based information system consulting, and web trust audits. This is the essence of the impact of information technology on the development of accounting, presenting opportunities and challenges that require adaptation and a strong understanding from accounting professionals in the digital era.

The assessment of computer literacy reveals varying competencies, urging the need for a tailored curriculum. While basics like office software and digital navigation are strong, disparities in data analysis proficiency call for targeted interventions. The implications highlight the necessity for a stratified curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive skill set in line with modern maritime demands. Cadets overwhelmingly endorse technology's role in enhancing education, signalling a paradigm shift. Positive attitudes towards online resources, digital simulations, and e-learning platforms advocate for an institutional embrace of cutting-edge tools. Recommendations focus on faculty development and increased technology integration, promising an enriched pedagogical landscape. The exploration of sociocultural influences uncovers a delicate balance between tradition and the necessity of English proficiency. Nuanced strategies are essential to integrate diverse cultural backgrounds. Recommendations call for cultural awareness initiatives and language support programs, aligning the institution with the global orientation of maritime education. In qualitative insights, cadets express a collective desire for a more intentional curriculum, particularly in incorporating cultural perspectives. This aligns with the broader scholarly discourse advocating for holistic education. Proposed avenues include workshops, seminars, and collaborations with cultural experts, providing a roadmap for curriculum development congruent with the diverse needs of Semester 1 cadets.
