Hypertension is a disorder characterized by elevated blood pressure originating from abnormalities in blood vessels, leading to impaired delivery of oxygen and nutrients to essential body tissues. Family involvement in assisting relatives afflicted with hypertension constitutes a supportive mechanism to facilitate effective self-care management of the condition. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between familial support and self-care management in hypertensive patients at Tuminting Health Center. Cross-sectional methods. The study sample comprised 49 individuals selected by purposive sampling. A questionnaire was employed as the study instrument. The gathered data was analyzed with the SPSS 16.0 software employing the Chi Square statistical test at a significance level (α) of <0.05. The results indicated that the predominant age group was 56-65 years, including 27 respondents, which represents 55.1%. The majority of respondents were female, totaling 39 individuals, accounting for 79.6%. The most common educational attainment was high school, with 22 respondents, corresponding to 44.9%. The statistical test yielded a P value of 0.0001, which is less than the alpha value (α) of ≤0.05. This study concludes that a correlation exists between family support and self-care management in hypertension patients at Tuminting Health Center. The findings of this study are anticipated to serve as a resource for individuals with hypertension, emphasizing the importance of self-care management to prevent problems and facilitate recovery.

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus, which many elderly suffer from, are a significant problem in Indonesia because they pose a risk of serious complications and even death. At the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, the incidence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the elderly has increased. However, the scope of elderly people's active participation in various hypertension and diabetes mellitus management programs is still low. Based on the results of the team's research and initial observations, it is known that the main cause of this problem is a lack of family support and limited knowledge about the efforts that families must make in managing illnesses in the elderly. This situation indicates weak family functioning which has an impact on health. This community service activity aims to strengthen family functions and self-care behavior for elderly people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the work area of the Olak Kemang Community Health Center through the implementation of Posdaya (Family Empowerment Post). Posdaya activities include counseling about family functions, developing family skills to manage hypertension and diabetes mellitus in the elderly, as well as assisting families to be able to access various application-based health services for the elderly and families. The activity was attended by 20 elderly people and their families. The results of the activity showed that 80% of participants experienced increased knowledge. In addition, participants provided statements of attitude to improve family function and implement self-care behavior for elderly people with hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

Stress and burnout among healthcare workers represent a global crisis with significant implications for psychological and physical health, job performance, and interpersonal skills. These conditions are linked to anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, substance use, poor quality of life, digestive disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Burnout is characterized by emotional fatigue, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment, often caused by chronic workplace stress. Factors such as demographics, fatigue, and resilience influence its development and severity. Traditional stress management interventions, such as counselling and leave, often prove insufficient in addressing these challenges. Recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) provide innovative tools for stress and burnout management, including mobile applications offering mindfulness, meditation, and self-care resources. AI systems like IBM Watson and Google DeepMind are being tested to enhance accessibility and effectiveness in stress management. Additionally, Stress Inoculation Training (SIT), involving methods such as meditation, yoga, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and biofeedback, has been recognized as a proactive approach to mitigating stress. This review explores the factors contributing to stress and burnout in healthcare workers and evaluates interventions aimed at improving well-being and productivity, emphasizing the potential of AI and SIT in preventing and managing these conditions.

ADL is one of the benchmarks for assessing functional capacity by asking questions about daily activities. The purpose of the examination was to find out and identify the number of elderly people with a level of independence and dependence in the KNDJH Wonokoyo nursing home. The method used is to carry out physiotherapy examinations regarding ADL using the Katz index instrument. The results obtained mostly have a level of total independence to the lightest dependence. However, some elderly people have a level of mild dependence to full dependence.

Pear skin contains flavonoids which have potential as antioxidants. Considering the existence of humans as social creatures, interacting with each other requires self-confidence to be well accepted. For this reason, humans need self-care to appear charming, attractive and full of self-confidence. Masks are a type of cosmetic treatment that is well known and widely used. The mask works deeply to remove dead horn cells on the skin. This research aimed to determine the potential antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of pear peel (Pyrus bretschneideri) which was formulated as a sheet mask preparation. Extraction was carried out by maceration using 96% ethanol to obtain pear peel extract. The antioxidant activity test method was carried out using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method. The results obtained from the concentration of the sheet mask preparation of pear peel extract (Phyrus bretschneideri) were homogeneous and stable. The pH results obtained from F0 (5,1), F1 (5,4), F2 (5,5), F3 (5,6), are still within the safe range of facial skin pH. The results of the antioxidant activity test showed that the IC50 value for F1 was 84.58 ppm with intensity (Strong), F2 69.96 ppm with intensity (Strong), and F3 63.79 ppm with intensity (Strong).

The prevalence of stunting in toddlers remains a significant global health concern, particularly in developing countries. This literature review aimed to examine the effectiveness of self-care practices in families with stunted toddlers and identify successful intervention strategies. A systematic search was conducted across three major databases: PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar, yielding 48 articles, of which 15 met the inclusion criteria. The review revealed that successful interventions typically incorporated comprehensive educational programs, strong community health worker engagement, robust family support systems, and integration with existing healthcare infrastructure. Key findings highlighted the importance of cultural adaptation, family empowerment, and community involvement in stunting prevention programs. Implementation barriers included resource limitations, cultural beliefs, knowledge gaps, and healthcare access challenges. The studies, particularly from Indonesian contexts, demonstrated that culturally adapted, family-centered interventions yielded significant improvements in child growth outcomes and family self-care practices. However, limitations in study duration and scope suggest the need for more long-term research to evaluate intervention sustainability. This review provides valuable insights for healthcare providers and policymakers in developing effective stunting prevention strategies.

The most serious and chronic mental disorder is schizophrenia. Schizophrenia sufferers often have limitations that greatly affect the performance of daily activities, one of which is carrying out self-care. Increasing independence from self-care deficit problems can be overcome with non-pharmacological management, one of which is occupational therapy. Occupational therapy intervenes in limitations by seeking greater autonomy of the patient through certain activities. The aim of the case study is to determine the effect of occupational therapy on the patient's level of independence in the intensive care unit. The method used is a case study with a nursing care approach. A case study was conducted at a mental hospital in 2024 involving a 56 year old patient. The instrument used was the Activity of Daily Living questionnaire. Occupational therapy was carried out for 12 days. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the level of independence in carrying out self-care from a score of 10 to 17 and a decrease in signs of self-care deficit symptoms in patients from 9 to 2. Based on the results, it can be concluded that occupational therapy can increase the level of independence and reduce signs of deficit symptoms patient self-care.
