Effective communication is essential for teamwork effectiveness in healthcare, particularly in inpatient units where patient care requires coordination among multiple professionals. Internal data from Hospital X showed that more than 50% of medical incidents in the last two years were related to miscommunication among healthcare workers. In addition, the 2024 employee satisfaction survey reported that workplace communication satisfaction was only 62%, below the hospital target of 75%. This study aimed to examine the influence of effective communication on teamwork effectiveness with interprofessional collaboration as an intervening variable at Hospital X.This study used a quantitative cross-sectional design involving 226 healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses, and medical support staff. Data were analyzed using the Three-Box Method and PLS-SEM. The findings revealed that effective communication significantly influenced teamwork effectiveness both directly and indirectly through interprofessional collaboration. Interprofessional collaboration also acted as a significant mediating variable between communication and teamwork effectiveness. These results indicate that communication is a key foundation for strengthening collaboration and improving teamwork in hospitals. Therefore, hospitals should enhance communication training and interprofessional collaboration programs to improve healthcare quality and patient safety

The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) has become an important element in improving healthcare service quality, efficiency, and patient safety in hospitals. However, the benefits of EMR depend not only on system availability but also on the quality of the information provided and how actively the system is used by healthcare professionals. This study aims to analyze the influence of electronic medical record content and perceived ease of use on the net benefits of EMR, with actual system use acting as an intervening variable. The research applied a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design conducted at RSM Hospital. The population consisted of all general practitioners and specialist doctors working at the hospital, totaling 51 respondents, and the study used a total sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measured using a Likert scale and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The results show that EMR content and perceived ease of use significantly influence the net benefits of EMR. Both variables also significantly affect the actual use of the system, while actual use significantly influences the benefits obtained. Furthermore, actual use mediates the relationship between EMR content, ease of use, and net benefits, indicating that better information quality and usability can encourage greater system utilization and maximize the advantages of EMR implementation.

One of the vulnerable groups facing the double burden of malnutrition is children living in Child Social Welfare Institutions (LKSA), such as the LKSA Christian Orphanage Foundation in Malang City. This LKSA holds a C-level accreditation status, indicating limited resources and inadequate facilities to support children's well-being. Preliminary research revealed that many children are unaware of their nutritional status and have not received regular health check-ups or nutritional monitoring. To address this issue, the GAES Program (Grow And Eat Smart) was developed with the goal of increasing awareness about the double burden of malnutrition and enhancing education on the importance of regular nutritional status monitoring for children. The GAES Program consists of three main activities: distribution of nutritional measurement tools (scales and height measuring instruments), education on the importance of routine nutritional monitoring, and training in anthropometric screening techniques. The program's results showed that out of the 13 participating children, 7 children (54%) were identified as undernourished, while 6 children (46%) had good nutritional status. In addition, all participants successfully understood the educational material delivered during the sessions and were able to perform anthropometric measurements independently as an initial step in screening their nutritional status. Through this initiative, it is expected that both the children and the LKSA management will become more aware of the importance of regular nutritional monitoring and take early preventive actions. Furthermore, health professionals and local health centers (Puskesmas) are encouraged to provide continuous support and interventions at the LKSA to improve the nutritional status of children and adolescents. Such efforts are essential to prevent the long-term health impacts of the double burden of malnutrition and to ensure a healthier future for children living in social welfare institutions.

Based on various studies and studies, the LGBT phenomenon in Indonesia, especially in the Pekanbaru area, is still often viewed negatively because it is considered contrary to local social and cultural norms. Several factors that influence the emergence of LGBT sexual orientation include childhood experiences, the influence of the social environment, and conditions within the family. Psychological interventions such as group counseling with the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach combined with religious values, such as in Islamic counseling, have proven effective in reducing inner conflict, increasing the ability to manage emotions, and encouraging acceptance and self-confidence of LGBT individuals. This approach also helps replace irrational thought patterns and strengthens emotional resilience, although cultural and social challenges are still major obstacles. On the other hand, the importance of multicultural competence for professionals is also highly emphasized in dealing with issues related to LGBT and their emotional health. Education about sexuality and increasing public understanding of diversity are considered important to reduce stigma and discrimination against the LGBT community. Overall, the results of this study indicate the need for an appropriate psychological approach and educational efforts to create social acceptance and improve the welfare of LGBT individuals.
