This study examines the legal implications of personal data misuse during the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election involving Dharma Pongrekun. The research highlights systemic challenges in safeguarding data privacy in Indonesia, particularly in electoral contexts. Employing a normative juridical method, the study focuses on the application of the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and its enforcement mechanisms. Findings reveal that unauthorized use of voter data, such as identity theft, poses a severe threat to electoral integrity and public trust. The lack of coordination among regulatory bodies, combined with insufficient public awareness, exacerbates the issue. The study emphasizes the urgent need for comprehensive reforms, including stricter law enforcement, increased institutional accountability, and improved technological infrastructure. Furthermore, the findings advocate for public education on the importance of data privacy, especially in democratic processes. These measures aim to bolster electoral transparency, protect individual rights, and ensure justice in cases of data misuse. The research provides a valuable contribution to discussions on data protection and electoral governance in Indonesia. Strengthening the enforcement of the UU PDP is crucial to addressing these challenges and fostering trust in both the legal system and democratic processes.

The neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) is an important foundation in carrying out government duties in Indonesia, especially during the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) process. ASN is expected to carry out their roles neutrally, impartially and adhere to the principles of justice, in accordance with the provisions in Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning ASN. This research aims to evaluate the role of the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) and the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) in maintaining ASN neutrality in the 2024 Regional Head Election in Padang City. Using a qualitative approach, this research analyzes data taken from various legal documents, official reports, and information related to violations of ASN neutrality in previous elections. The results revealed that violations of ASN neutrality are still quite high and have the potential to increase in the 2024 Pilkada. KASN and Bawaslu have made a number of efforts, such as conducting socialization and conducting strict supervision, to prevent these violations. This study concludes that ASN neutrality plays an important role in realizing the principles of good governance and in ensuring the implementation of fair and democratic elections, free from conflicts of interest

This study examines the implementation of Law Number 8 of 2015 within the context of the General Election Commission's (KPU) strategy to increase young voter participation in simultaneous regional elections (Pilkada).  Employing a normative juridical research method with a statutory approach, this analysis investigates the legal basis and KPU's strategies in efforts to enhance young voter engagement.  The research findings indicate that Law No. 8/2015 and PKPU No. 8/2017 provide a comprehensive legal basis for the KPU to implement strategies for increasing young voter participation through various programs such as school-based socialization, social media campaigns, and collaborations with youth organizations and educational institutions. Factors influencing the effectiveness of these strategies include internal aspects such as human resources, knowledge management, and financial support, as well as external factors such as public political awareness, effective communication, and public response. This research concludes that while the legal framework is adequate, more detailed regulations regarding young voters are still needed, and the strategies implemented by the KPU are in line with existing laws.

According to the above article, it is in line with the regulations that the Regional Head Election is a democratic festivity, but there are several parties that are not allowed to be directly involved. One of them is the Civil Servants (ASN). ASN are state servants in the process of governance. Therefore, ASN are given limitations to remain neutral during this democratic festivity. However, they often face interference or are tainted by the involvement of ASN who should maintain their neutrality as government officials. The main issues in this research are (1) How is the regulation of the General Election Supervisory Agency on the neutrality of Civil Servants in the 2020 Regional Head Election in Ngada Regency? (2) What are the factors causing the neutrality violations of Civil Servants in the 2020 Regional Head Election in Ngada Regency? Indonesia is a constitutional democracy. The authority of the Constitutional Court in examining and deciding cases of disputes over the results of regional head elections has become an old song worked on by the Constitutional Court itself and the Constitutional Court has often withdrawn and canceled its authority in terms of disputes over the results of regional head elections and caused legal uncertainty related to regional head election issues. Then the Constitutional Court ruled that the articles petitioned by the Respondents were contrary to the 1945 Constitution and had no binding legal force. The Constitutional Court is authorized to hear disputes over the results of regional head elections as long as there is no law regulating this matter. Article 1 of Law No. 22/2017 on Regional Head Elections is included in the Election regime, which is carried out directly, publicly, freely, confidentially, honestly and fairly. It is rumored that the 2024 elections will be the cornerstone of the history of simultaneous national elections. This study aims to determine the role of the constitutional court in resolving direct election disputes and to determine the responsibility of special judicial bodies in direct election disputes.

The purpose of the research is to find out the causes of differences in interpretation between the Gorontalo Regency KPU and Bawaslu Gorontalo Regency regarding administrative violations of the 2020 elections in Gorontalo Regency and how the process of resolving administrative violations of the 2020 elections in Gorontalo Regency by the Gorontalo Regency KPU and Bawaslu Gorontalo Regency. This research uses two legal research methods, namely: Normative and empirical legal research to find answers to the differences in interpretation between the KPU and Bawaslu Gorontalo Regency regarding administrative violations of the 2020 Pilkada in Gorontalo Regency. The difference in interpretation between the Regency KPU and Bawaslu Gorontalo Regency regarding administrative violations is caused by overlapping statutory provisions. Where in Law Number 10 Year 201 concerning Pilkada, the two institutions are given the authority to examine and decide administrative violations, then the two institutions in deciding administrative violations have their own guidelines where Bawaslu is guided by Perbawaslu while the KPU itself is guided by KPU Regulations. This certainly does not provide legal certainty for justice seekers in election administration violations and the process of resolving administrative violations in the 2020 Pilkada in Gorontalo Regency, namely through DKPP and Constitutional Court decisions. We do not have to face different decisions between the two institutions because DKPP is an ethical judicial institution while the Constitutional Court is a legal judicial institution. Although there has been a decision from the Constitutional Court, it does not change the DKPP's decision because until now there has been no ethics court to appeal the DKPP's decision.

Indonesia, with its dynamic democratic process, is often characterized by patronage politics and money politics during the Regional Head General Election (PILKADA). This phenomenon has become an integral part of the political reality of this country. Patronage politics, which involves the use of power or position to influence political support, and political practices involving money that financially benefit interest groups, have a significant impact on the democratic process. This research aims to understand how democratic patronage and money political practices are carried out by candidates candidates based on regional election experience by UNIMED PPkn students. There are several strategies to overcome this problem, and implementing these strategies must involve cooperation between the government, supervisory institutions, civil society and the media in order to create a cleaner and more transparent political environment.
