Interest in reading the Holy Scriptures is an important aspect of faith formation among Catholic Youth (OMK). However, various challenges, such as busy daily activities and the influence of digital media, have hindered the development of a consistent habit of reading the Scriptures. This study aims to describe the interest in reading the Holy Scriptures among Catholic Youth at Beato Dionisius Sumbul Parish and to analyze the use of the Lectio Divina method in fostering this interest. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving ten informants, consisting of the parish priest, a youth mentor, and members of the Catholic Youth community. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that the interest in reading the Holy Scriptures among Catholic Youth has grown, although it has not yet become a consistent habit. The Lectio Divina method has proven effective in helping Catholic Youth read, understand, reflect on, and internalize the Word of God more deeply through the stages of Lectio, Meditatio, Oratio, Contemplatio, and Actio. This method increases their interest in the Holy Scriptures and promotes spiritual growth reflected in their daily lives. Therefore, Lectio Divina can serve as an effective pastoral approach for fostering interest in reading the Holy Scriptures among Catholic Youth.

Catechesis is a process of faith formation that aims to help the faithful, especially Catholic youth, to know, internalize, and live out the Christian faith in their daily lives. In the digital era, youth participation in ecclesial life tends to decline, as indicated by low involvement in Church activities. This condition is influenced by various factors, such as academic and work commitments, as well as the dominance of digital culture, which is often more appealing to young people than spiritual activities. This study aims to analyze the role of catechesis in increasing the participation of Catholic youth in the digital era and to examine the relevance of retreats and recollections as contextual forms of catechesis. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method, supported by observations of ecclesial life at the station level. The findings indicate that catechesis that is primarily informative is less effective in addressing the needs of young people, who seek a more personal and participatory faith experience. In this regard, retreats and recollections have the potential to serve as forms of catechesis that deepen faith experiences and encourage active participation in the life of the Church.

Workshop Pra Jabatan Pengurus Orang Muda Katolik diselenggarakan sebagai sarana pembekalan awal bagi para calon pengurus agar memiliki pemahaman, keterampilan, serta sikap dasar yang diperlukan dalam menjalankan tanggung jawab organisasi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat identitas OMK Paroki Katedral St. Yoseph Maumere dalam iman Katolik , menumbuhkan jiwa kepemimpinan yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Kristiani, serta mengembangkan kemampuan manajerial dan komunikasi yang efektif. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif berupa diskusi, simulasi, dan kerja kelompok, OMK diajak untuk mengalami proses pembelajaran yang kontekstual sekaligus membangun kebersamaan. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah terciptanya pengurus Orang Muda Katolik Paroki Katedral St. Yoseph Maumere yang kompeten, berintegritas, serta siap mengemban misi pelayanan di tengah Gereja dan masyarakat. Workshop ini menjadi fondasi penting untuk mendukung keberlanjutan dan dinamika organisasi Orang Muda Katolik dalam menjawab tantangan zaman.

This study explores the implementation of liturgical music norms by Catholic Youth (Orang Muda Katolik/OMK) in the St. Raphael Sub-Parish, Saitnihuta. The research aims to examine the extent to which OMK participate in liturgical music ministry in accordance with the principles established by the Catholic Church, particularly regarding the use of liturgical songs and musical instruments. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that OMK show commendable enthusiasm and active involvement in liturgical celebrations by singing hymns from official Church songbooks such as Puji Syukur and by accompanying the liturgy with instruments like guitars, cajons, and keyboards. While this reflects a genuine commitment to serve, it also exposes a lack of structured guidance and theological understanding related to the use of music in the liturgy. Many OMK rely on imitation and personal experience in selecting songs and instruments, often prioritizing the creation of a lively atmosphere rather than enhancing the sacredness of the liturgy. Moreover, the absence of traditional musical instruments and limited liturgical catechesis hinder the proper application of inculturation principles. This study underscores the urgent need for structured formation programs and official liturgical music guidelines to support OMK. With proper mentoring, the creativity and zeal of young people can be nurtured to align with the Church’s vision of sacred, beautiful, and appropriate liturgical music—thus enabling them to become true ministers of prayer who deepen the community’s encounter with the mystery of Christ.

This article examines the role of Catholic Young People (OMK) as agents of change in the context of Gaudium et Spes teachings. In the era of globalization which is marked by the rapid development of technology and materialism, OMK faces challenges in maintaining spiritual and social values. This article analyzes how the teachings of Gaudium et Spes can be a guide for OMK in facing these challenges. Through a literature review and qualitative data analysis, this research shows that OMK has great potential as an agent of change in the Church and society. They can play an active role in promoting social justice, interfaith dialogue and human values. However, to achieve this potential, OMK needs support from various parties, including the Church, family and community. This article concludes that by understanding the teachings of Gaudium et Spes and utilizing their potential, OMK can become a generation that brings hope for the future of the Church and the world.

This article discusses the transformation of young Catholics (OMK) through liturgy as a foundation for regeneration at Sta. Renha Rosari Trans-Biduk, North Kalimantan. The research focuses on the lack of understanding and involvement of OMK in liturgical practices, which poses a challenge for the church in increasing their participation. Through an inclusive approach and proper training, it is hoped that OMK can play an active role in the liturgy and strengthen their faith. The method used utilizes the ten steps of pastoral work. The results showed that despite barriers such as busyness and lack of confidence, with consistent coaching, the involvement of OMK in the liturgy can be increased.

In the digital era, social media has become an important platform for communication and interaction, including in terms of religion. Young Catholics play an important role in religious moderation through social media. This study explores this role, focusing on the results and discussions, observations, social media content and challenges faced. Young Catholics actively use social media to interact about religion, share information, and promote moderation, young Catholics face challenges such as hate speech, misinformation and Cyberbullying, the Catholic Church can play an important role in supporting the role of young Catholics in religious moderation through social media. This type of research uses a Qualitative method by collecting and analyzing data obtained from various sources such as articles, books and Church documents. In this study, researchers rely on various literature and do not interact directly with research subjects. And also by analyzing the content posted by young Catholics on social media to identify themes, trends, and patterns related to religious moderation, analyzing online interactions between young Catholics from different religions and cultures to understand how they navigate differences and promote interfaith dialogue, analyzing how mainstream media and social media platforms cover the role of young Catholics in religious moderation. The findings of this researcher show that the role of young Catholics has the potential to play an important role in religious moderation through social media. However, they also face challenges in using social media effectively for this purpose, namely: Hate speech and Negative Content, Misinformation and Propaganda, Cyberbullying and Online Harassment, Lack of Digital Literacy, Lack of support and guidance.

Young Catholics have an important role to play in the Church as the next generation and agents of change. This was affirmed by Saint Yoanes Paul II who called them the future of the Church and a source of hope for society. The Church sees the importance of the physical and spiritual development of young Catholics so that they are ready to take part in the service of the Church. The active participation of the faithful, especially the youth, is essential in realizing the expectations of all Church members in seeing the Church flourish. Young Catholics are encouraged to participate in various church activities, which aim to awaken their enthusiasm in knowing and deepening the Christian faith. The Church is expected to give attention and care in the apostolic task so that young people can live their faith. Liturgy as a work or service for the nation and a celebration of the mystery of salvation from God through Jesus Christ, plays an important role in shaping the faith and positive values of young people. This study aims to find out the participation of Catholic Youth in liturgical duties at St. Joseph's Church Stasi Lubuk Mantuk and identify the factors that cause their lack of participation. This study confirms that the responsibility of building the spirit of youth is the duty of the Church and the whole community

Catechesis is an important aspect in building the spirit of young Catholics in their faith formation. This article has a catechetical role in forming the foundations of young people's spiritual life and overcoming challenges in the process of faith development. With reference to Church documents that emphasize the importance of catechesis, this article discusses some strategies that can be used to increase the participation of young people in catechesis, including the use of technology as well as involvement in church activities. The research method used in this article is a qualitative method with an observation and literature study approach. The researcher observes young people in catechesis and collects data from articles, journals, and books that are appropriate to the topic discussed. In addition, the article discusses the challenges that young people face in catechesis, such as a lack of understanding of the relevance of catechesis, academic pressures, as well as the influence of secular culture. Considering these challenges, this article may suggest strategies to overcome the boredom that young people experience in blessing and also the importance of listening to the views and experiences of young people. As such, this article aims to awaken the spirit of parents in blessing and strengthen the foundation of their faith.

In this life, humans will definitely continue to learn or learn something new every day. Learning new things which are called the learning process in education. Educations is the main pillar in humans life to determine how humans develop their thinking patterns. Humans thought patterns will change and develop according to the times, taking as an example the current development of digital eras. The digital world is rapidly developing in every aspect of humans life today, long distances feel close and easy to reachs. The impact of digital developments is also felt in religious education in churches and schools. A church that lives and develops in the digital era is required to be able to follow positive currents in responding to developments in Catholic youth ministry work. This digital church ministry work includes distance or online learning in Catechesis which strives for each individual towards maturing in the Christian life. Catechesis distance learning also has challenges and opportunities which are explained in detail in this research.

This writing departs from the author's concern for the reality that often occurs in the leadership of Catholic Youth in fostering a spirit of leadership, where the leadership spirit of OMK is still lacking because they often forget responsibility, which is caused by the influence of the times which makes them more happy themselves, have their own opinion , act alone and boast about themselves, so that they still have not found their true identity as OMK. The purpose of this writing is to understand and understand the theory of OMK leadership and to understand the spirit of creative and innovative leadership in OMK. The method used in this thesis is literature review. Thus, from the theory that has been described, it is hoped that OMK will be able to carry out their responsibilities in realizing the ideals and hopes of the Church, because OMK are individuals who still have a fresh leadership spirit and are still strong in service. Through OMK the Church will be assisted in various services both liturgically, ministry and pastoral. Therefore, if OMK is to be a true leader, they must be able to challenge a process, be able to work together, give themselves, be humble, and be able to apply good moral values ​​to everyone.    

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  bagaimana  partisipasi  orang muda Katolik dalam kehidupan menggereja di Paroki Santo Yosef Kudangan. Permasalahannya adalah orang mudaKatolik kurang menghayati kehidupan menggereja dan kehidupan rohani, sehingga sebagian dari orang muda Katolik lebih mengikuti gaya hidup yang sifatnya duniawi dibandingkan gaya hidup sifatnyarohani.Dengan realita yang nampak maka penulis tertarik untuk mengkaji tema skripsi partisipasi orang muda Katolik dalam keidupan menggereja di Paroki Santo Yosef Kudangan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Tempat pelaksanaan penelitian di Paroki Santo Yosef Kudangan. Dengan informan yang telah diteliti berjumlah 14 orang yang di kelompokan menjadi 2 yaitu orang muda Katolik dan petugas pastoral. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi penentuan tema, profil informan, percakapan dengan informan, refleksi, implikasi, sintesis dan prospek.   Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa orang muda Katolik di Paroki Santo Yosef  Kudangan sudah berpartisipasi dalam kehidupan menggereja, meskipun tidak semua orang muda Katolik menyadari apa yang menjadi tugas dan tanggungjawab mereka di dalam Gereja. Melalui studi ini diharapkan para orang muda Katolik lebih menghayati iman mereka akan Kristus dan diwujudnyatakan dengan ikut terlibat aktif  dalam tugas pelayanan Gereja.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan  bentuk komunikasi iman umat Katolik di Stasi St. Petrus Runggu Raya Paroki St. Petrus dan Paulus Ampah dalam menghidupi persekutuan. Studi ilmiah ini diharapkan dapat menjelaskan cara membangun komunikasi iman Gereja, baik tenaga pastoral, pengurus Gereja, maupun seluruh umat agar terwujud persekutuan yang kokoh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian berjumlah 10 orang berdasarkan jabatan dalam persekutuan, yaitu pastor paroki, pengurus Gereja, umat, dan orang muda. Proses penelitian melalui tiga tahap, yaitu pra- lapangan, pekerjaan lapangan, dan pasca lapangan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa persekutuan umat Katolik di Stasi Runggu Raya belum kokoh karena kurangnya kesadaran untuk membangun komunikasi iman. Indikator yang ditunjukkan adalah pengurus Gereja dan umat bersikap acuh tak acuh terhadap kepentingan Gereja, sedikit umat yang mau hadir dan terlibat dalam kegiatan persekutuan, lemahnya koordinasi antara petugas pastoral, sesama pengurus Gereja dan seluruh umat. Cara membentuk komunikasi iman umat Katolik di Stasi St. Petrus Runggu Raya agar terwujud persekutuan yang kokoh adalah melalui rapat koordinasi antara pengurus Gereja yang dibimbing oleh tenaga pastoral, membangun kerja sama antara pengurus dan seluruh umat, memiliki sikap terbuka dan kesadaran akan tanggung jawab setiap pribadi sebagai anggota persekutuan, saling melayani dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan menggereja.

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  sejauh  mana  para  keluarga muda menghayati perkawinan Katolik dan apa yang menjadi kebutuhan mereka untuk semakin menghayati perkawinan Katolik di Paroki Santo Petrus dan Paulus Ampah. Perkawinan merupakan bagian terpenting dalam membangun keluarga, namun  banyak  kendala  yang harus dihadapi  oleh  pasangan  suami istri  dalam menghayati perkawinan Katolik mereka. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penulis tertarik  untuk mengkaji  tema  skripsi  tentang penghayatan  perkawinan Katolik bagi keluarga muda Kristiani.   Jenis penelitian ini adalah  penelitian  kualitatif.  Data  diperoleh  melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Tempat pelaksanaan penelitian di Paroki Santo Petrus dan Paulus Ampah. Informan yang telah diteliti berjumlah 15 orang yang dikelompokan menjadi dua yaitu keluarga muda berjumlah 11 KK dan petugas pastoral  ada  4  yaitu  Pastor  paroki  dan  3  orang katekis.  Analisa  data  dengan menyajikan data, melaksanakan Verifikasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Langkah- langkah penelitian meliputi penentuan tema, profil informan, percakapan dengan informan, refleksi, implikasi, sintesis dan prospek.   Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sifat dan tujuan perkawinan Katolik sudah cukup dipahami oleh keluarga muda. Penghayatan perkawinan keluarga muda memang sangat perlu suatu keintiman antara suami istri melalui relasi yang baik, akan tetapi masih ada permasalahan yang mucul dalam rumah tangga yaitu komunikasi yang kurang dan ekonomi rumah tangga. Keluarga muda menyadari bahwa betapa pentingnya pendampingan bentuk katekese dan pengajaran mengingat bahwa pendampingan bagi keluarga muda di Paroki Santo Petrus dan Paulus Ampah ini masih belum terlaksana pendampingan keluarga muda secara khusus.  Gereja memang sangat  perlu mengupayakan  pembinaan  lanjutan  bagi keluarga muda dalam bentuk rekoleksi, sharing antara keluarga, dan pertemuan yang berkaitan dengan meningkatkan penghayatan perkawinan katolik bagi keluarga muda.

This community service report reviews the concept of Jesus' Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the context of modern management and its relevance to young Catholics. Through research and literature studies, we investigate how management principles such as leadership, decision-making, empowerment, and service reflected in the teachings and actions of Jesus can be applied in the daily lives of young Catholics. In modern management, which is often oriented towards material success, involving Jesus as the example of chief executives provides an alternative view that reinforces spiritual and ethical values in their decision-making and work. Using modern management principles inspired by the teachings of Jesus can provide guidance and inspiration for young Catholics as they build careers and serve others. In this context, Jesus' leadership, which is based on service, empowerment, and love, becomes a relevant model for young Catholics who wish to integrate the values of the Catholic faith into their professional world. This report provides new insights into how young Catholics can apply management principles that are morally and spiritually meaningful, and support their personal development as responsible public servants.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendidikan sikap toleransi bagi peserta didik beragama Katolik di SMP Negeri 14 Palangka Raya. Sikap toleransi bagi peserta didik akan menjadikan  generasi muda  yang kreatif dan berguna bagi bangsa namun fenomena yang terjadi saat ini banyak peserta didik melakukan suatu perbuatan yang menyimpang. Misalnya tidak menghargai teman yang berbeda agama, tidak menghargai pendapat teman dan bahkan ketidakmampuan peserta didik untuk berinteraksi dan bersosialisai yang akan menimbulkan kurangnya rasa empati terhadap sesama. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2021 di SMP Negeri 14 Palangka Raya. Informan dalam penelitian berjumlah 12 orang yang terdiri dari Kepala Sekolah, guru agama Katolik, dan peserta didik beragama Katolik.Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model  Miles and Huberman  yang terdiri dari 3 tahap  yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan sikap toleransi bagi peserta didik beragama Katolik di SMP Negeri 14 Palangka Raya sudah cukup baik. Dengan adanya pembelajaran sikap toleransi dapat membimbing dan membantu memperbaiki pribadi peserta didik menjadi lebih baik. Pendidikan sikap toleransi menjadi pedoman dan memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk untuk dan mengembangkan pribadi peserta didik dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai disiplin, jujur dan tanggung jawab, peduli, saling menghormati, dan saling menghargai satu sama lain.

This study aims to determine the liturgical activities of OMK in Sebabi Community of St. Joan Don Bosco Parish of Sampit. The intended liturgical activity is the participation of OMK in taking part in liturgical tasks, such as participating in the celebration of the Eucharist, worship of the word without a priest, singing practice (choir), as lector I or II in the Eucharistic celebration , as psalmist and so on. This study used qualitative research methods. The source of data in this study was OMK in the Sebabi Community of St. Joan Don Bosco Parish of Sampit.   Data   collection   techniques   used   in   this   research   are   interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The place of research is in the Sebabi community of St. Joan Don Bosco Parish of Sampit. The informants in this study were ten of them who were grouped into three, namely a Priest as a mentor of OMKs, community leader and OMK. The research steps include determining the theme, informant profiles, interview with informants, reflection, implications, synthesis and prospects.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan Pemberdayaan Kaum Muda Katolik  Sebagai  Tim  Pastoral  di  Stasi  Penda  Asam.  Metode  yang  digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakan dengan pengumpulan data dari buku-buku, jurnal, dan skripsi yang cocok dengan penelitian. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi penentuan skripsi dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang dapat mendukung penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini dijelaskan bahwa Orang Muda Katolik banyak mendapat pembinaan pastoral. Kekurangn tenaga pastoral menjadi masalah pembinaan, sehingga memerlukan tambahan tenaga pastoral. Padahal pembinaan pastoral dapat menguntungkan Orang Muda Katolik yang ingin melatih bakat mereka seiringan dengan melaksanakan kegiatan menggereja. Pembinaan  yang   cocok bagi Orang Muda Katolik agar mereka dapat menjadi petugas pastoral dan siap bekerjasama dalam tim pastoral. Pemberdayaan yang cocok adalah pembinaan pastoral dasar, katekese, bidang sosial, membuat kegiatan OMK,  dan pembinaan tentang penggunaan media digital berbasis audio visual.

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  peran  Pendidikan  Agama  Katolik dalam membentuk kepribadian peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Parenggean. Kepribadian yang buruk tidak hanya pada orang dewasa akan tetapi telah menjalar pada generasi muda. tingkat kematangan dan pengaruh lingkungan yang dialami serta merosotnya nilai- nilai moral dalam kehidupan masyarakat seperti tindak kekerasan, meningkatnya perilaku merusak diri, rendahnya rasa hormat kepada orang tua, rendahnya rasa tanggung jawab individu,  ketidakjujuran,  rasa  ketidakpedulian,   kurang  bersyukur,   dan   kebenciaan terhadap sesama juga marak terjadi di sekolah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan  mengunakan  teknik  wawancara  dan  dokumentasi  dengan  9  informan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman yaitu Data Reduction (Reduksi Data), Data display (penyajian data), dan Conclusion/Verification (penarikan kesimpulan). Hasil peneititan ini menunjukkan bahwa peran Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalam membentuk kepribadian peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Parenggean sudah cukup baik. Dengan adanya pembelajaran Pendidikikan Agama Katolik membimbing dan membantu memperbaiki kepribadian peserta didik menjadi lebih baik. Pendidikan Agama Katolik menjadi pedoman dan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk kepribadian peserta didik dan mengembangkan kepribadian peserta didik dengan menanamkan nilai kedisiplinan, kejujuran dan tanggung jawab, peduli, saling menghormati, dan saling menghargai satu sama lain.

Penelitian ini membahas orang muda dapat menjadi pioneer dalam dialog interreligius. Hal ini dapat menjadi dialog interreligius yang khas. Fokus penelitian ialah relasi antara Orang Muda Katolik (OMK) dengan teman-teman Muslimnya. OMK terpanggil untuk dialog ini karena penduduk Indonesia mayoritas Muslim. Saat ini media sosial banyak memberitakan isu intoleransi yang menimbulkan prasangka diantara agama dan dapat membahayakan keberagaman Indonesia. Sejarah mencatat bahwa gerakan para pemuda Bangsa Indonesia dalam keragamannya dapat bersatu dan peduli pada persatuan bangsa. Peristiwa seperti Sumpah Pemuda tahun 1928 dan Gerekan Reformasi tahun 1998 menjadi kepedulian pemuda Indonesia yang cukup signifikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menelusuri cara pandang iman Kristen untuk relasi OMK dalam dialog interreligius. Anjuran Apostolik Christus Vivit dapat meneguhkan pertemanan OMK dengan cara pandang inklusif dalam dialog interreligius. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi berdasarkan pengalaman berpastoral dengan anak muda. Penelitian ini memberikan sumbangan sederhana pada tingkat akar rumput masyarakat yaitu dialog interreligius orang muda. Temuan penelitian ini ialah OMK memandang teman Muslimnya bukan semata-mata sebagai teman tetapi sebagai saudara, menurut pemikiran Kristin-awanama dari Karl Rahner.
