The objective of this research is to examine how Minangkabau migrants in Bandung negotiate their cultural identity and how the philosophy "di mana bumi dipijak, di situ langit dijunjung" is implemented in their social adaptation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with migrant students from West Sumatra at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, utilizing a qualitative approach and phenomenological method. The study indicates that Minangkabau migrants actively and dynamically negotiate their identity through integration patterns rather than assimilation. Situational strategies are employed; informants gain social acceptance by adopting local linguistic identities and behaviors (Sundanese) in public spaces, while maintaining core values in private spaces. The religious principles of Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah, and the communication ethics of Kato Nan Ampek serve as adaptation guidelines that allow for external flexibility, such as in language and daily habits, while preserving fundamental, non-negotiable values. The success of this negotiation is significantly supported by the educational environment and the early internalization of traditional values. This process results in a hybrid identity, enabling migrants to preserve their authentic Minangkabau identity while becoming an integral part of the Bandung community.

This study examines the lived faith of Catholic migrants from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) who have migrated to the Muslim-majority landscape of South Kalimantan, Indonesia. These migrants face a profound crisis of identity as they transition from a dominant religious environment to a marginalized minority status, necessitating a research objective that explores how their faith is reinterpreted amidst such socio-religious pressures. Employing a qualitative phenomenological-hermeneutical method, the research utilizes Paul Ricoeur’s threefold mimesis - prefiguration, configuration, and refiguration - as its primary interpretive framework. The findings reveal a significant narrative shift from an inherited “communal Catholic habitus” to a “refigured faith” characterized by personal agency and reflective commitment. This transformation is sustained through adaptive relational ethics, such as the sanctification of work and collaborative hospitality, which allow migrants to navigate their vulnerability. The study synthesizes these experiences to conclude that internal migration constitutes a vital locus theologicus, wherein the rupture of traditional religious structures does not erode faith but rather matures it into a more resilient, intentional, and relational existential orientation. Consequently, migration emerges as a transformative theological process that redefines the intersection of faith, culture, and minority existence in pluralistic societies.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of income and employment opportunities on women's decision to become migrant workers, as well as the impact on the level of family welfare of women migrant workers. The approach used is a quantitative method by utilizing primary data collected through the distribution of questionnaires to female respondents who have worked or are currently working as migrant workers in Kecamatan Utan, Kabupaten Sumbawa Besar. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS software. The research variables were measured using a number of indicators formulated based on the theoretical basis and the results of previous studies. The findings show that income has a positive and significant influence on women's decision to work as migrant workers, with a coefficient of 1.940 and a p-value of 0.000. In contrast, employment opportunities have a negative and significant effect on the decision, with a coefficient of -1.147 and a p-value of 0.000. Furthermore, women's decision to become migrant workers has a positive and significant effect on family welfare, as shown by a coefficient of 0.594 and a p-value of 0.001. However, income does not have a significant direct effect on family welfare, with a p-value of 0.151. Meanwhile, employment opportunities have a positive and significant influence on family welfare, with a coefficient of 0.691 and a p-value of 0.030. These results indicate that women's decision to become migrant workers functions as a mediating variable in efforts to improve family welfare.

This Community Service activity aims to foster the spiritual life of NTT Migrant Communities on Oil Palm Plantations. The activities include weekly faith formation and year-end recollections. Through these weekly faith formation activities, NTT migrants receive regular spiritual care and further strengthen their faith amidst the harsh challenges of the working world. Furthermore, through the year-end recollections, NTT Catholics gain valuable experience through the materials provided by competent speakers and the series of activities presented. These activities foster a spirit of togetherness and solidarity, and a deeper understanding of the richness and meaning of the Church's sacraments.
