This study aims to determine and analyze service waiting times, identify the root causes of long queues, and develop a strategy to improve service performance at the 5361137-gas station (SPBU) at the Surabaya-Gresik Toll Rest Area. The research method used is a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design. This study combines quantitative analysis using Queuing Theory to measure system performance (arrival rates and service times) and descriptive qualitative analysis using a Fishbone Diagram. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, and g-form techniques. The results indicate that the current queuing system performance is in a critical or severe condition, indicated by a server utilization rate of 0.94 to 1.02 during peak hours. The average time spent by vehicles in the system is 14.3 minutes, of which 9.6 minutes (67%) is spent waiting in the queue. Fishbone diagram analysis revealed that the root cause of the main problem lies in the complex interaction of factors: Machine factors (EDC signal failure and pump repair downtime), Human and Method factors (implementation of static shifts and reactive maintenance), and Environmental factors (narrow layouts that hinder large vehicle maneuvers). As a solution, this study formulated a hybrid improvement strategy that includes short-term business process engineering (the use of Floating Staff and lane segregation) and long-term investment in additional pumps to change the queuing model from Single Channel to Dual Channel. This strategy is expected to reduce the utility level to a safe zone below 0.80 with a target waiting time of 3–5 minutes.

Traditional games are an important part of cultural heritage rich in educational, social, and moral values. However, technological developments in the modern era have led children in Merangin Regency to abandon traditional games. They spend more time with gadgets, causing a decline in social interaction and awareness of local culture. Among various types of traditional games, congklak has become one of the least played. This situation encouraged designers to create an educational and engaging medium for children. As a solution, an Illustrated Book of the Traditional Game Congklak of Merangin Regency was designed as both a learning medium and an effort to preserve local culture. The illustrated book was chosen because it can convey messages visually and verbally in an appealing way, making it easier for readers to understand the story and the values contained within it. The design process used the 4D method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with 5W+1H analysis to meet design needs. In addition to the main book, supporting media such as posters, x-banners, t-shirts, tumblers, tote bags, bookmarks, and e-books were also developed. UMKM Tahu XYZ, a small-scale tofu producer, is currently facing significant challenges in maintaining consistent product quality, primarily due to a high defect rate. Common issues identified include crumbled tofu shapes, overly soft textures, and inconsistent taste, which negatively impact customer satisfaction and business sustainability. This study aims to investigate the root causes of these quality issues and propose practical solutions using the Lean Six Sigma methodology. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach through the DMAIC framework—Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control—to ensure systematic problem-solving. Data were collected over a six-month period through direct observation, structured interviews, and review of production records. The analysis identified four dominant types of waste within the production process: unnecessary transportation, product defects, excessive movement, and over-processing. The root causes of these inefficiencies are linked to poor handling of raw materials, variability in soybean quality, and an ineffective production layout that hampers workflow and consistency. To address these problems, the study proposes several targeted interventions, including the redesign of the production layout to optimize flow, the implementation of the 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) workplace organization method, the development of standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and the adoption of improved soybean boiling technology. The implementation of these improvements is projected to significantly reduce product defects, enhance process efficiency, and ultimately increase customer satisfaction. Furthermore, these actions are expected to improve the overall competitiveness of UMKM Tahu XYZ within the highly demanding food industry sector. This research provides actionable insights for other micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) seeking to apply structured quality control methods to strengthen operational performance and long-term business resilience.

This study focuses on the development of an intelligent enemy behavior system in the 2D maze game Dungeon Escape by combining the A* algorithm for pathfinding and a Behavior Tree (BT) structure for decision-making. The main objective is to enhance Non-Playable Character (NPC) intelligence, enabling more adaptive and realistic interactions with players. The A* algorithm is implemented to allow NPCs to pursue players through the shortest and most efficient paths while avoiding obstacles on a grid-based map. Meanwhile, the Behavior Tree framework is designed to manage NPC actions based on dynamic conditions, such as attacking when in close proximity, chasing players within a certain detection radius, and retreating to the original guard position when the player leaves the active zone. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review, system design, and implementation using the Unity game engine. Testing procedures consist of both white-box and black-box approaches to evaluate the correctness, functionality, and efficiency of the system. The results indicate that all major game features—including player navigation, combat mechanics, key collection, enemy pathfinding, and user interface interactions—operate smoothly as expected. Furthermore, NPCs exhibit adaptive behavior by dynamically switching between patrolling, chasing, and attacking modes depending on the player’s location and proximity. Performance testing shows that the integrated A* and BT system runs efficiently without significant delays or instability, even in higher-level stages with more complex layouts. The final game prototype includes seven progressively challenging levels, offering players an engaging and dynamic gameplay experience. This study demonstrates that the combination of pathfinding and decision-making algorithms provides an effective solution for designing intelligent NPCs, improving both realism and entertainment value in 2D games. The findings are expected to serve as a useful reference for future research and development in AI-based game design, particularly in the context of Unity game projects.

The reliability of a data center is highly dependent on its air conditioning and cooling system. This research evaluates the existing cooling system of Universitas Krisnadwipayana’s data center using the PPDIOO Network Life-Cycle approach. The study finds that the current cooling system, which relies on AC Split, fails to meet TIA-942 standards, posing significant overheating risks and increasing downtime probability. Observational analysis shows that the cooling distribution is inefficient due to inadequate airflow and the absence of a structured cooling layout. To address these issues, this research proposes an optimized cooling system design that incorporates Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), hot aisle-cold aisle arrangement, and raised floor implementation. The recommended improvements also include installing temperature and humidity sensors for real-time environmental monitoring and implementing N+1 redundancy for enhanced system reliability. These solutions are expected to improve cooling efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and mitigate downtime risks. Future research should focus on evaluating the practical impact of this design by conducting real-world trials and exploring liquid cooling technology as a potential alternative for further efficiency improvements.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport – Bali is one of the airports with the busiest flight traffic in Indonesia, for both domestic and international routes. The high intensity of operational activities on the airside demands optimal management of all supporting elements, one of which is Ground Support Equipment (GSE). GSE plays a vital role in supporting aircraft movements and handling baggage, cargo, and passengers. Therefore, the provision of well-organized Equipment Parking Area (EPA) facilities in the Make Up and Break Down areas is crucial to ensure smooth and safe operations on the apron. This paper aims to examine the effectiveness of EPA provision and management in supporting GSE work efficiency, while identifying challenges and providing solutions to various emerging problems. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through direct observation, field documentation, and analysis of the actual layout compared to the provisions of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Regulation No. PR 21 of 2023 concerning Technical and Operational Standards for Civil Aviation Safety Regulations. This research also complements EPA management practices at other airports in Indonesia, to provide a constructive comparative perspective. The study results indicate that the current management of the EPA at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is not optimal. The main problems identified include irregular parking of GSE vehicles, the absence of zoning based on vehicle type, minimal markings, and a weak monitoring system due to limited personnel. As a result, congestion often occurs on GSE operational routes, which can disrupt the smooth operation of ground handling services. Based on these findings, proposed improvements include redesigning the EPA layout based on vehicle classification, installing signs and vehicle flow maps in strategic areas, and implementing an integrated technology-based monitoring system such as CCTV and digital access control.
