This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction and job performance, with employee adaptability as a mediator. The subjects were employees of Kospin Jasa Regional Office (Kospin Jasa) in Yogyakarta and Central Java. A sample of 178 respondents was selected using a census technique and a questionnaire was distributed using Google Forms. The analysis tool used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) software. The results of this study indicate that employee adaptability has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, employee adaptability has a positive and significant effect on job performance, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and the influence of emotional intelligence on job performance has a positive and significant effect. Employee adaptability acts as a positive mediator in the influence of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction.

This study investigates the effect of emotional intelligence on conflict management with interpersonal communication as a mediating variable. The research was conducted on students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Nusa Nipa, who attended the Conflict and Negotiation Management course during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. A quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the relationships among variables. The results show that emotional intelligence significantly influences interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication, in turn, significantly influences conflict management. However, the direct effect of emotional intelligence on conflict management was not significant. Mediation analysis reveals that interpersonal communication significantly mediates the relationship between emotional intelligence and conflict management. These findings highlight the importance of communication skills in translating emotional capacity into effective conflict resolution strategies. Practically, the study recommends that emotional intelligence training be accompanied by structured development of interpersonal communication skills in university curricula.

This study aims to determine the influence of emotional intelligence on self-adjustment among first-year Psychology students at Padang State University. Using a quantitative, correlational design with a survey method, data were collected from 82 students selected through purposive sampling. Two Likert-type scales were used: the emotional intelligence scale (42 items, reliability = 0.839) and the self-adjustment scale (40 items, reliability = 0.825). The data were normally distributed (p = 0.143 for emotional intelligence; p = 0.199 for self-adjustment) and showed a linear correlation (p = 0.000). Simple regression analysis revealed a significant influence of emotional intelligence on self-adjustment (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). The relationship was positive and unidirectional, with an R-square value of 0.514, indicating that emotional intelligence accounts for 51.4% of the variance in self-adjustment. The regression analysis also produced a constant (a) of 38.284 and a regression coefficient (b) of 0.685, demonstrating that higher emotional intelligence corresponds with better self-adjustment in students.
