Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing). Media and content experts conducted validation to assess the feasibility, usability, and pedagogical quality of the content. Findings revealed that the Scribus-based learning media effectively increased students’ engagement and comprehension in analyzing fictional elements such as plot, character, and setting. Expert validation results indicated a high feasibility level, with mean scores above 85% in design and content quality. Teachers reported improved classroom interaction and creativity, while students expressed enthusiasm for the visual and interactive format. The study concludes that open-source tools, such as Scribus, can provide cost-effective and pedagogically sound alternatives for developing literary learning media. The integration of ADDIE and multimodal design promotes contextual, engaging, and sustainable learning experiences. Future research should explore multimedia enhancements, such as audio storytelling and cross-curricular applications, to broaden the pedagogical impact.

This community service activity was conducted in a Christian ministry institution located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The Student Creativity Program (PKM) was motivated by the reality that many people in Makassar have not yet known or believed in Isa Al-Masih (Jesus Christ )as Lord and Savior. As a city with a predominantly non-Christian population, evangelism in Makassar needs to be carried out contextually, wisely, and lovingly, without offending the beliefs of the surrounding community. The “PI 3 Saja” method (an acronym for Evangelism anytime, anywhere, and to anyone) serves as a relevant and effective strategy for reaching out to society. Through the 5P approach (Pertalian—Relationship, Peralihan—Transition, Penginsafan—Conviction, Pengabaran—Proclamation, and Penyelesaian—Commitment), this method emphasizes the importance of friendship, empathy, and naturally sharing the Gospel in everyday conversations. The purpose of this activity was to train participants in the institution to become contextual evangelists who can share the Good News without coercion, but rather through exemplary living and genuine friendship with others. The training and field practice results showed positive responses from the community, the formation of small discipleship groups (house churches), and an increased sense of courage and sensitivity among participants in sharing the Gospel in non-Christian environments. This activity demonstrates that evangelism can remain relevant and effective when it prioritizes love, relationships, and sensitivity to local culture.

The digital competency gap between vocational school graduates and the rapidly evolving demands of modern industry has become a pressing issue in today’s workforce. One of the main challenges lies in the limited digital literacy and insufficient practical skills of students, particularly in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support productivity and creativity. This situation hinders the readiness of graduates to compete in an AI-driven labor market, where innovation and technological adaptability are essential. To address this challenge, a training program was designed for vocational high school students at Darma Siswa Sidoarjo with the primary objective of enhancing both their conceptual understanding and practical competencies in the utilization of AI technologies. The program adopted the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, emphasizing collaboration and active engagement between trainers and students. It was conducted through a series of interactive workshops that combined theoretical introductions with hands-on practice. Students were guided to explore AI-based platforms such as Ideogram for visual creativity, PixVerse for multimedia production, and Suno for AI-generated music. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, pre-test and post-test instruments were used, focusing on the dimensions of knowledge, technical skills, and student confidence in using AI tools. The findings revealed that students initially demonstrated minimal awareness and limited practical ability in AI applications, as reflected in the pre-test results. However, post-test data showed a significant improvement not only in their technical proficiency but also in their enthusiasm to further explore AI technologies. Moreover, students gained increased confidence in producing creative outputs, transforming their role from passive consumers of digital tools into active and competent content creators. In conclusion, this participatory and practice-oriented training model effectively bridges the digital competency gap, enhances students’ job readiness, and fosters an innovative mindset.
