The concept of supremum is fundamental in real analysis and plays a crucial role in the optimization of single-variable real functions. In practice, not all functions attain their supremum explicitly, which necessitates numerical approaches to evaluate their behavior computationally. This study aims to analyze the supremum of several one-dimensional real functions with different characteristics using a grid-search method implemented in Python. Four functions were examined: a parabolic function, a rational function with a sharp peak, a discontinuous piecewise function, and a function with a vertical asymptote. The analysis involved modeling the functions, discretizing the domain, performing numerical approximation of the supremum, verifying the results against analytical values, and using graphical visualization to observe the function behavior near the supremum. The findings indicate that the supremum of the parabolic, rational, and piecewise functions can be accurately identified, with results consistent with analytical expectations despite minor deviations caused by grid resolution limitations in the rational function. Meanwhile, the function with a vertical asymptote yields an unbounded supremum, which cannot be attained within the domain. These results demonstrate that Python provides stable and reliable numerical estimates of the supremum across various types of one-dimensional real functions, validating the effectiveness of computational methods in supporting conceptual understanding of supremum.

This study examines the phonological disorder in the form of mild articulatory dysarthria experienced by actress Junior Roberts in an entertainment media interview on the Cinema 21 YouTube channel. The study was conducted using a phonological approach, specifically articulatory phonetics, to analyze the inaccuracy of pronunciation of language sounds in spontaneous speech. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with the Free Listening and Speaking (SBLC) technique as a means of data collection. The analysis results indicate that the phonological disorder experienced by the subject is evident in the phoneme /r/ through three main processes: substitution (/r/ is replaced by /l/ or /y/), elision (the /r/ sound is lost), and distortion (the /r/ sound is heard muffled). This disorder is caused by articulatory muscle weakness due to neuromotor dysfunction. Despite this, the subject displayed a positive attitude and made her speech characteristics a personal identity in the entertainment world. This study confirms that the study of phonology does not only focus on the sound aspects of language but also encompasses the physiological, psychological, and social dimensions that influence human speech production.

This study analyzes the mechanism of money creation in Islamic financial institutions by highlighting its relationship to the principle of prudence and the intermediation function. The research background is based on the growth of Indonesia's sharia capital market which by 2025 will reach a capitalization of IDR 5,060 trillion, but still faces conceptual challenges regarding how money is created according to the principles of maqashid al-shariah. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with PRISMA guidance on 38 relevant scientific articles. The results of the study show that money creation in the sharia system only occurs through real asset-based economic activities, in contrast to the conventional system that relies on credit and interest expansion. The intermediation function is carried out through partnerships that prioritize proportional sharing of risk and profit, while the prudential principle ensures that monetary expansion remains under control. In addition, research has found that sharia contracts such as murabahah, mudarabah, and musharakah play a role in encouraging productive money circulation while suppressing speculative activities. This study concludes that the integration between the moral and economic dimensions forms a just, stable, and sustainable Islamic monetary paradigm. These findings make a conceptual contribution to strengthening Islamic financial policy in Indonesia, especially in formulating a monetary regulatory framework that is in line with the principles of distributive justice, transparency, and protection of the stability of the national financial system.

Fasting as a spiritual and health practice has been practiced for thousands of years in various religious and cultural traditions around the world. In the last decade, researchers have shown increasing interest in the health aspects of fasting, not only from a physiological but also a psychological perspective. This phenomenon is interesting to study further, especially in the context of modern society which often faces stress, anxiety, and various mental disorders. The approach used in this study was a qualitative approach with a literature study method that analyzed in depth various reference sources related to the mental impact of fasting. The results of the review of several studies show that fasting has been proven to have an effect on mental health because it has a significant impact on overall mood improvements, with reduced anxiety levels and increased feelings of calm. Furthermore, another important aspect of mental health is cognitive function, which includes attention, concentration, memory, and executive function. It was found that cognitive alertness is generally maintained during short- to medium-term fasting, but begins to decline after longer fasting durations. Fasting also has an impact on extraordinary psychological resilience and good mental health despite advanced age. Researchers attribute this extraordinary mental resilience to the consistent practice of long-term fasting, which may have induced significant neuroplastic and psychological adaptations.

In the development of a construction project, cost control is very important in the process of managing project costs. Many problems will be encountered in a construction project such as wasteful use of materials, unskilled labor and late completion of the project. This causes waste of costs that do not match the specified budget. In the construction project of the Rectorate of the Sorong City Health Polytechnic building, a budget of Rp. 36,570,996,788.55 is required. This study aims to make savings on previously planned costs, in addition to knowing the comparison of total project costs after analysis. The method used in this study is the Value Engineering method. The Value Engineering method is a method used to identify and eliminate unnecessary activities or reduce costs without reducing function. There are 4 stages of the work plan in this method, namely: Information Stage, Creative Stage, Analysis Stage, and Recommendation Stage. After conducting the Value Engineering analysis, savings of Rp. 654,875,786.25 or 1.79% of the total project cost were obtained. The analysis was conducted on the two highest-cost work items: wall and floor work. For the wall work, it was recommended that the HPL wall covering be replaced with plasterboard, while for the floor work, it was recommended that the 60x60 granite be replaced with 60x60 ceramic tiles.

This study examines the role of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia (Mahkamah Konstitusi/MK) as a positive legislator through the lens of the living constitution approach, which conceptualizes the constitution as a dynamic and evolving document responding to social and political change. The main problem addressed is the extent to which the MK’s judicial activism in interpreting and even creating new legal norms aligns with constitutional principles, democratic legitimacy, and the balance of powers between the judiciary and the legislature. The objective of the research is to analyze how the MK’s progressive interpretations have transformed it from a negative legislator—which merely annuls unconstitutional laws—into a positive legislator that effectively fills legal gaps and constructs new constitutional meanings. Using a normative juridical method combined with case study analysis, this research explores key constitutional decisions, focusing on cases where the MK extended its interpretive authority beyond mere judicial review. The findings reveal that the MK, through the living constitution approach, justifies its role as a positive legislator by invoking principles of constitutional morality, justice, and responsiveness to societal evolution. However, this judicial creativity also generates tension with legislative supremacy and may risk overstepping the boundaries of judicial function. The synthesis of findings suggests that the MK’s transformation embodies the dynamic interplay between constitutional text and social context, reinforcing the adaptability of Indonesian constitutionalism. The study concludes that while the MK’s position as a positive legislator under the living constitution paradigm strengthens constitutional justice and protects citizens’ rights, it must remain anchored in checks and balances to prevent judicial overreach and preserve democratic legitimacy.

Patients who are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) often require mechanical ventilation due to respiratory failure. One of the common problems that arises in patients with mechanical ventilation is the buildup of sputum, which can interfere with the ventilation process as well as lower the tidal volume. To overcome this, a combination of clapping and suction interventions are used as a therapeutic method with the aim of helping to clear the airways and improve ventilation function. This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of clapping and suction on tidal volume in patients with respiratory failure using mechanical ventilation. The research design used a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest approach on 43 respondents in the ICU room. Interventions in the form of clapping and suction are given in a structured manner according to standard nursing procedures. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (53.5%), with the most medical diagnosis being SNH (23.3%). Most of the respondents were in the late adult age category (32.6%) and used PCV ventilation mode (51.2%). Before the intervention, most respondents had a low tidal volume (72.1%), while after the intervention the majority had an increase to the normal category (90.7%). The Wilcoxon test showed a value of p = 0.001, which means that there is a significant effect of the combination of clapping and suction on the increase in tidal volume. Thus, it can be concluded that the combination of clapping and suction is an effective intervention in increasing tidal volume in patients with respiratory failure with mechanical ventilation at the ICU of RSI Sultan Agung Semarang.

Bekasam is a traditional fermented food made from snakehead fish (Channa striata) through spontaneous fermentation with the addition of salt and rice over several days. This fermentation process promotes the growth of indigenous microorganisms, particularly lactic acid bacteria (LAB), which play a crucial role in developing distinctive flavors and potentially providing health benefits. LAB are well-known for their probiotic effects, such as maintaining gut microbiota balance and enhancing immune system function. This study aimed to identify the presence of LAB in bekasam using the Gram staining method. Samples were taken from bekasam that had been fermented for three days. Bacterial isolation was conducted by culturing the samples on appropriate media, followed by Gram staining to observe bacterial morphology and cell wall characteristics under a microscope. Observations revealed a predominance of Gram-positive, rod-shaped (bacillus) bacteria, which are the primary morphological characteristics of LAB. This morphology is consistent with bacterial groups such as Lactobacillus spp., which are commonly found in traditional fermented products. These findings strengthen the assumption that snakehead fish–based bekasam is not only a traditional food source with rich flavors but also has potential as a natural probiotic source. This potential opens opportunities for bekasam to be developed as a functional food that supports digestive health and immune function. Further research is recommended to perform molecular identification to accurately determine bacterial species and to evaluate their probiotic activity in vivo. Thus, bekasam holds not only cultural and culinary value but also added value in the field of health and the functional food industry.

Cell-based therapy is an innovative approach currently experiencing rapid development in the biomedical field, particularly in the areas of immunotherapy and gene therapy. This approach utilizes living cells, such as genetically modified T cells, to recognize and destroy abnormal cells such as cancer cells or cells with genetic mutations. The development of gene engineering technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9, has enabled scientists to precisely edit damaged genes, thereby repairing or restoring normal cell function. This study aims to examine recent advances in cell-based therapy, focusing on cell modification techniques, the efficiency of the immune system in targeting cancer cells, and the integration of gene therapy technology and immune cells. Furthermore, this study also identifies several challenges that remain, including the risk of side effects due to undesirable immune reactions, the genetic stability of the modified cells, and the long-term sustainability or viability of transplanted cells. While these challenges remain serious concerns, several clinical studies have shown that cell-based therapy has significant potential in the treatment of difficult-to-treat diseases, such as advanced cancer and rare genetic disorders. The results of this study demonstrate that cell-based therapy not only offers a new approach to treatment but also opens the door to more personalized and precise therapies. However, for broader implementation in clinical practice, further, in-depth research is needed regarding safety, long-term efficacy, and strict regulation. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of more effective and safe future therapies.

Premature ovarian failure (POF) is a condition where the ovaries stop functioning before the age of 40 years, resulting in permanent infertility. IVF with own eggs in POF patients has a very low success rate, so egg donation is the most effective alternative. This review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using egg donors in IVF programs in women with POF, through an analysis of 20 studies systematically selected from international scientific databases. The results of the study showed that egg donation consistently increased the clinical pregnancy and live birth rates in POF patients, although accompanied by obstetric risks such as gestational hypertension and preeclampsia. New reproductive technologies such as in vitro maturation (IVM), stem cell therapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) also provide additional prospects for restoring ovarian function. In conclusion, egg donation is a major strategy in the management of infertility due to POF, which requires the support of an integrated clinical, ethical, and policy approach.

Nephrolithiasis, commonly known as kidney stone disease, can be experimentally induced in animal models using ethylene glycol (EG) in combination with ammonium chloride, which closely mimics calcium oxalate stone formation in humans. This condition is associated with significant renal tissue injury, including glomerular atrophy, tubular necrosis, and hyaline droplet accumulation, ultimately impairing kidney function. The present study aimed to investigate the histopathological changes in the kidneys of EG-induced rats and evaluate the nephroprotective potential of combined avocado (Persea americana) and gooseberry (Physalis angulata) leaf extracts. A total of 30 male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups: a standard control (no induction), a negative control (EG-induced without treatment), a positive control (EG-induced and treated with a commercial nephroprotective agent), and two treatment groups receiving the combined extracts at different doses. Nephrolithiasis induction was performed over 28 days, followed by oral administration of the respective treatments. At the end of the experiment, kidney tissues were collected and processed for histological examination using hematoxylin-eosin staining to assess the extent of tissue damage. The negative control group exhibited the most severe histopathological alterations, with hyaline droplet formation reaching 15.0 ± 5.25%. In contrast, extract-treated groups demonstrated a marked reduction in tissue damage, with the most significant improvement observed in the group receiving 300 mg/kg avocado extract and 100 mg/kg gooseberry extract, which recorded hyaline droplet formation of only 5.27 ± 2.74%, a result comparable to that of the standard control group. These findings suggest that the combination of P. americana and P. angulata leaf extracts confers protective effects against EG-induced renal injury. Therefore, this herbal combination may represent a promising natural nephroprotective agent that warrants further investigation in preclinical and clinical settings.

Organic church and church management are often viewed as two opposing approaches: one emphasizes spiritual vitality and relational community life, while the other focuses on structure, planning, and organizational sustainability. This study argues that these approaches need not be placed in tension; rather, they can be integrated into a coherent and holistic framework of ministry. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through literature analysis, this research explores how the concept of the organic church in New Testament ecclesiology can be integrated with key principles of modern church management. Insights from Bonhoeffer (1954) on communal life, Erickson (1998) on the nature of the body of Christ, and Tomatala (2014) on congregational development provide the foundational basis for this integrative model. The findings indicate that the organic church contributes life, relational depth, and the dynamic work of the Holy Spirit, whereas church management offers direction, coordination, and the structural space needed for spiritual gifts to function. Together, these dimensions produce a living structure that is flexible, relational, theological, and accountable. The study concludes that the contemporary church requires structures that support life rather than replace it.

Plantation agriculture encompasses all activities involving the cultivation of specific crops and the commercialization of their products and services, supported by science, technology, capital, and management, with the aim of improving the welfare of plantation business actors and the wider community. This study aims to analyze the production scale, input elasticity, and factors affecting clove production in Umejero Village, Busungbiu District, Buleleng Regency. Given the high dependence of farmers on harvest outcomes and price fluctuations, this analysis is essential to understand the impact of economic and agronomic variables such as working capital, labor, land area, and selling price on production output. The study employs a quantitative method using multiple linear regression based on the Cobb-Douglas production function. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with clove farmers in Umejero Village using purposive sampling. The results indicate that all four variables simultaneously have a significant effect on clove production, with each variable also having a partial positive influence. The analysis of production scale shows increasing returns to scale, meaning that a proportional increase in all input factors leads to a more than proportional increase in output. The elasticity analysis indicates that capital input is elastic, suggesting that a small increase in capital leads to a disproportionately large increase in output. In contrast, labor, land area, and selling price are inelastic, implying that increases in these inputs result in only modest increases in output. These findings highlight the need for solid policy foundations and strategic initiatives to enhance clove productivity both at the farmer and local government levels. Furthermore, the study’s results are expected to assist farmers in making more informed and sustainable decisions in farm management, ultimately contributing to the improved welfare of clove-farming communities in the region.

In Aceh, the provision of guidance is regulated in Articles 5 and 6 of Gubenur Regulation Number 139 of 2016, which states that the main task and function of the Civil Service Police Unit and Wilayatul Hisbah Aceh is the guidance function. Article 1 point 14 of Qanun Number 7 Year 2013 on Jinayat Procedure Law states that the function of Wilayatul Hisbah (WH) is to socialise, supervise, enforce, and foster the implementation of Islamic Sharia. Therefore, there is a problem of interpreting the authority of coaching carried out by Satpol PP and WH of Lhokseumawe City. This study aims to determine the legal basis for the coaching of suspected jarimah violators by Satpol PP and WH of Lhokseumawe City and the legal consequences of coaching suspected jarimah violators without going through the judicial process carried out by Satpol PP and WH of Lhokseumawe City. The research method used is empirical juridical. Data sources are obtained through interviews with respondents and informants. The results of this study indicate that the coaching carried out by Satpol PP and WH of Lhokseumawe city against suspected jarimah violators does not have a clear legal basis. The coaching carried out is only based on a statement signed by the alleged jarimah violator during the investigation and the legal consequences of coaching against jarimah offenders by Satpol PP and WH of Lhoseumawe City without going through the judicial process is carried out without a legal basis which results in serious legal consequences such as the coaching is not legally valid (can be cancelled), violates human rights, and can be sued civilly or criminally prosecuted and reduces public confidence in Sharia law.
