Microteaching is an innovative educator training method aimed at developing basic teaching skills and fostering student self-efficacy through a micro-scale approach. This study describes how teaching simulations with limited duration, audience size, and material focus can facilitate the transformation of pre-service teachers' pedagogical competence. Using a qualitative approach, the research found that microteaching functions as a "safe laboratory" for students to explore teaching creativity without the risk of systemic failure. The skill development process includes mastering stimulus variation techniques through the use of visual and audiovisual media, such as PowerPoint and instructional videos, as well as strengthening instructional communication styles. Furthermore, students' self-efficacy increases significantly through a cycle of constructive feedback from peers and supervisors, enabling reflection-on-action. The results conclude that the re-plan and re-teach mechanisms are crucial in shaping professional and permanent teaching behaviors before students enter actual classroom environments. These findings highlight the importance of microteaching in developing both the technical and reflective skills necessary for effective teaching practice.

Hypertension remains a major health problem with high prevalence, often linked to poor lifestyle habits and low self-efficacy in managing one’s health. Effective hypertension management requires not only support from health professionals but also encouragement from family members who can remind patients to adhere to treatment and provide emotional support. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy, lifestyle, and family support with hypertension among Prolanis members in the working area of Puskesmas Oesapa, Kupang City. Using an observational analytical approach with a cross-sectional design, the study involved 65 hypertensive Prolanis members selected through simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire. The findings showed significant relationships between self-efficacy, physical activity, and diet with hypertension status (p-value = 0.000). However, resting habits were not significantly associated with hypertension (p-value = 0.063), and family support also showed no significant relationship (p-value = 0.388). This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy and learning environment on learning outcomes, with learning motivation as a mediating variable, among students of SMK Negeri 44 Jakarta. Employing a quantitative approach with a survey method, the research involved a population of 175 students, all of whom were included as the sample through a total sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The analytical procedures encompassed measurement model analysis, structural model analysis, and hypothesis testing for both direct and indirect effects. The findings reveal a positive and significant direct effect of self-efficacy on learning outcomes, indicating that students with higher confidence in their abilities tend to achieve better academic performance. Similarly, the learning environment was found to have a positive and significant direct effect on learning outcomes, suggesting that supportive academic surroundings contribute meaningfully to student achievement. However, the study found no significant direct effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes, nor any significant mediating role of learning motivation in the relationships between self-efficacy and learning outcomes or between learning environment and learning outcomes. These results imply that while self-efficacy and a conducive learning environment are key determinants of academic success, the role of learning motivation as an intervening variable may not be as substantial in this context. The absence of mediation suggests that motivation alone may not bridge the gap between personal and environmental factors and actual academic performance. This study contributes to educational research by providing empirical evidence on the complex interplay between psychological, environmental, and motivational factors influencing student achievement, highlighting the need for educators to strengthen both self-belief and learning conditions to optimize outcomes.

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is a medical emergency that is still a major cause of global morbidity and mortality. The success of ACS treatment and prevention of recurrence is highly dependent on self-care. However, many ACS patients have difficulty performing self-care due to low self-efficacy. This study aims to explain the relationship between self-efficacy and self-care in ACS patients. This study used a correlation analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was 62 outpatients at the Heart Clinic, with a sample of 41 people selected using purposive sampling. Self-efficacy was measured using the Cardiac Self-Efficacy Scale (CSE scale) and self-care using the Self-Care of Coronary Heart Disease Inventory (SC-CHDI). The study was conducted in April-May 2025. Data were analyzed using the Pearson product moment correlation test. The results showed a p value of 0.004 (p <α), which means there is a relationship between self-efficacy and self-care in ACS patients. The direction of the relationship is positive, meaning that the higher the self-efficacy, the better the self-care, and vice versa with the closeness of the relationship in the weak category (r 0.437). Self-efficacy is positively related to better self-care behavior in ACS patients. Therefore, nurses can integrate self-care improvement care through comprehensive self-efficacy education.
