This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to assist students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Shirojut Thalibin in understanding the adolescent development period through the perspectives of Aristotle, Comenius, and Charlotte Bühler. The mentoring was motivated by the complexity of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual changes during adolescence and the low interest of students in studying the stages of human development. The activity was carried out for one week through educational, interactive, and collaborative strategies, using participatory discussion methods, theoretical explanations contextualized with the realities of adolescent life, varied learning media, role simulations, and joint evaluation and reflection. The subjects of the activity were students of MTs Sirajut Thalibin Racek Village, Tiris District, Probolinggo. The results of the mentoring showed an increase in students' understanding of the stages of adolescent development, a higher awareness of maintaining physical and mental health, and a better ability to link personal changes with developmental tasks and life goals. Teachers and the madrasah also experienced positive impacts in the form of strengthened understanding of adolescent characteristics and adjustments to a more holistic learning approach. This activity produces scientific articles, activity documentation, and student work products, while also recommending the integration of human development material in learning and guidance programs to support the moral, intellectual, social, and spiritual development of adolescents.

The advancement of digital technology has transformed children's media consumption patterns, marked by the growing use of short video content such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. This study aims to explore the psychological impacts of short video addiction on elementary school-aged children, focusing on cognitive, affective, and social aspects. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving 10 children, 7 parents, and 4 teachers from two elementary schools. The findings indicate that children who intensively access short videos (more than two hours per day) experience reduced concentration, emotional instability, and social withdrawal. These results were analyzed using theoretical frameworks from Piaget (cognitive), Krathwohl (affective), Erikson and Bandura (social), and Young’s digital addiction model. The main conclusion reveals that short video addiction negatively affects children's developmental tasks, including logical thinking abilities, emotional regulation, and social skills. Therefore, digital literacy-based interventions and active supervision by parents and teachers are essential to prevent the long-term detrimental impacts on children's psychological development.

The low level of financial literacy in Indonesia, which only reached 49.68% according to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2022, highlights the urgency of financial education from an early age. Children aged 11–12 are at an ideal developmental stage to understand basic financial concepts such as income, expenses, saving, and delayed gratification. This study aims to introduce financial literacy through an interactive learning medium in the form of a board game. Board games are chosen because they enhance children's engagement in learning while playing and serve as an alternative to excessive gadget use. Through gameplay, children practice financial decision-making by simulating buying and selling activities, managing expenses, and choosing to save. This approach also supports the development of children's self-efficacy, which refers to their belief in their ability to manage financial tasks. By applying this method, children are expected not only to understand the value of money but also to implement basic financial management skills in daily life. Educational board games offer an effective tool for instilling healthy financial habits from an early age.

School-aged children are those within the age range of 6-12 years. The primary developmental task for school-aged children is to develop a sense of independence. Independence is the ability or attitude acquired by an individual to perform tasks on their own without the help of others. To enhance their independence, children need stimulation from their environment, such as from their parents. However, in reality, many parents resort to violence under the guise of disciplining their children by administering punishment. This study aims to analyze the corelation between types of child abuse and their impact on the level of independence of fifth and sixth grade students at SDN Karang Bayat 01, Sumberbaru, Jember. This research was a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population conssisted of 39 individuals selected used purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument utilized a questionnaire. Statistical tests were conducted on the obtained data. Bivariate analysis using Chi-Square tests and logistic regression was performed to identify dominant factors. The study results indicated that physical abuse had a p-value of 0.046, verbal abuse had a p-value of 0.012, and neglect had a p-value of 0.424. This suggests that there is a corelation between physical and verbal abuse and independence, whereas neglect does not show a corelation with independence. Among the types of child abuse, verbal abuse was found to be the dominant factor affecting independence, with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 16.667. Verbal abuse by parents impacts the child’s self-confidence, which is one of the indicators of independence. It is hoped that parents will be mindful of their words and expressions towards their children to avoid hindering their independence.
