Somongari Tourism Village in Indonesia's Purworejo Regency is the site of this research on the ways in which community-based creative economy development could promote ecotourism. As a destination rich in natural, cultural, and historical assets, Somongari demonstrates significant potential to integrate creative industries into tourism practices. Examining community involvement, entrepreneurship, and government, this study used a qualitative descriptive technique to gather data via observation, recording, and interviews.Findings reveal that creative economy initiatives—such as culinary innovation, agro-tourism, cultural storytelling, and digital promotion—strengthen destination attractiveness while generating income for residents. Innovation, inclusion, and intergenerational colaboration are greatly enhanced when women and youths are involved. Community ownership and fair distribution of benefits are reinforced via participatory governance and collective management. Limited product diversi-fication, reliance on seasonal tourism, and limitations in management competence are some of the difficulties that continue to exist. The study concludes that community-based creative economy development provides a strategic pathway for sustainable tourism by integrating economic empowerment, cultural preservation, and social participation. Strengthening entrepreneurship, enhancing digital marketing, diversifying tourism products, and fostering stakeholder collaboration are essential to improving competitiveness and resilience. This study contribute to the discourse on sustainable rural tourism by demonstrating how creative economy initiatives can serve as instruments of empowerment and sustainable destination development.

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic school culture in shaping the religious character of students at SMK Islam Insan Mulia. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach based on interview transcripts with three students from different vocational programs, namely Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, and Culinary Arts. Data were analyzed through data condensation, thematic coding, data presentation, and interpretive conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of students’ experiences. The findings indicate that Islamic school culture is implemented through religious routines, student discipline, teacher guidance, ethical vocational learning, and the development of a clean and orderly school environment. These practices contribute to the formation of religious character, which is reflected in students’ worship awareness, moral responsibility, honesty in learning, discipline, cooperation, and future orientation. The study also identified several challenges, including limited student independence, peer dependence in group assignments, and the gradual development of facilities in a new vocational program. These findings suggest that Islamic school culture needs to be managed consistently through habituation, teacher role modeling, continuous monitoring, and integration with vocational competencies. The study implies that strengthening Islamic school culture can support both religious character formation and vocational readiness among students.

This study examines the phenomena of code-switching and code-mixing in the digital interactions of Indonesian Generation Z on Instagram. Using a sociolinguistic approach with virtual ethnography, data were collected from 1,200 posts and comments published between January and June 2024, complemented by in-depth interviews to explore the factors influencing language choice. The findings reveal that code-switching occurred in 68.4% of the data, with intrasentential switching as the dominant pattern (47.3%), followed by intersentential switching (38.6%) and external switching (14.1%), indicating Generation Z’s high multilingual competence. Code-mixing appeared in 82.1% of the data, primarily through the insertion of English vocabulary into Indonesian (63.2%), followed by regional languages such as Javanese, Sundanese, and Betawi (27.1%), particularly in nostalgic, culinary, and emotionally expressive content. The main factors influencing these practices include social identity, community affiliation, communicative efficiency, emotional expression, and audience context. The study concludes that code-switching and code-mixing function as deliberate communicative strategies that reflect Generation Z’s hybrid identity in digital spaces, offering important implications for digital sociolinguistics, language education, language policy, and digital content development.

This study examines the role of the creative economy in enhancing sustainable tourism potential in Pampang Cultural Village, Samarinda, Indonesia, and identifies strategic priorities for its development. Pampang Cultural Village is recognized for its rich cultural heritage preserved by the Dayak Kenyah community, which serves as a valuable tourism asset. Despite this potential, the contribution of creative economy activities to tourism development has not been fully optimized. Therefore, a comprehensive analysis is needed to formulate effective development strategies. This research employs a mixed qualitative–quantitative approach using the SWOT-AHP method. SWOT analysis is utilized to identify internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats affecting creative economy development. Subsequently, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to determine the priority level of each strategic factor and alternative strategy. The findings indicate that the village possesses significant creative economy potential in cultural performances, handicrafts, culinary products, traditional fashion, and cultural souvenirs. Cultural authenticity emerges as the primary strength, while limited innovation capacity and digital marketing skills remain the major weaknesses. The results further reveal that the highest-priority strategy is the development of innovative creative tourism products rooted in Dayak Kenyah cultural heritage while preserving cultural authenticity. This strategy should be supported by digital promotion, human resource capacity building, stakeholder collaboration, and improvements in tourism infrastructure to achieve sustainable tourism development.

An appropriate strategy has become a crucial factor for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in maintaining customer loyalty. This study focuses on analyzing the implementation of marketing communication strategies adopted by Nasi Goreng Barokah Jaya, an MSME located in Cikampek, to retain its loyal customers. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach based on the 7P Marketing Mix theory developed by Kotler and Keller (2016). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation involving the business owner, employees, and loyal customers. The data were subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, while data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings reveal that direct interaction, responsive and friendly service, word-of-mouth promotional activities, and personalized approaches serve as the main pillars in building customer loyalty. Customer loyalty is significantly influenced by product quality, price affordability, service reliability, and the emotional bond established between the business and its customers. These findings confirm that simple yet consistently implemented marketing communication strategies are effective in maintaining a loyal customer base in the culinary MSME sector.

The rapid development of digital technology and changes in consumer behavior require Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt in marketing and service aspects. Rumah Makan Padang Sari Bundo, a culinary MSME located in Pasir Gadung, Cikupa, faced several problems, including limited use of social media, underutilization of digital platforms such as Google Maps, and the absence of cashless payment systems. This community service activity aimed to improve business competitiveness through the digitalization of marketing and services. The method applied was the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach, consisting of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up stages. The implementation included creating Instagram and WhatsApp Business accounts, optimizing Google Maps, and applying the QRIS digital payment system. The results showed increased business visibility, easier customer access to information, and improved transaction convenience through cashless payments. Furthermore, digitalization enabled the MSME to become more adaptive to technological developments and modern consumer needs. Therefore, digital transformation at Rumah Makan Padang Sari Bundo represents an important step in supporting business sustainability and improving competitiveness in the digital era.

This research investigates the integration of the creative economy as a catalyst for sustainable tourism development within Kutai National Park (KNP), East Kalimantan. Despite its ecological significance as a lowland rainforest and Orangutan habitat, KNP faces stagnation due to a reliance on extractive resources and a lack of diversified tourism products. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology and SWOT analysis, this study maps the creative potential of the region and evaluates its impact across four sustainability pillars: economic, social, environmental, and institutional. Data were gathered through field observations and in-depth interviews with park authorities, local government officials, and creative entrepreneurs in the buffer zones of Sangatta and Bontang. The findings reveal significant potential in non-timber forest-based culinary arts, modernized ethnic crafts, and digital wildlife storytelling. A critical institutional barrier identified is the "sectoral ego" between conservation authorities and local governments. The study proposes a strategic shift toward a "Green Creative Hub" model, emphasizing that sound governance and institutional synchronization are essential for balancing conservation with economic empowerment. This research provides a roadmap for policy-makers to transition from extractive-based livelihoods to a knowledge-based service economy that preserves the integrity of protected landscapes.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the culinary sector face multiple competitive pressures encompassing product legality, consumer trust, and the effectiveness of value communication. This Community Service activity was conducted at Warung Sambal Cidero, a culinary MSME in Kediri City, from March 28, 2026, to April 25, 2026, using a Participatory Action Research approach with four cycles: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Two main interventions were implemented: strengthening halal certification through supply chain audits, developing a Halal Product Assurance System, and assisting with SIHALAL-BPJPH registration; and improving price value strategies through consumer perception-based rebranding, value-based pricing, and optimizing digital marketing. The reflective evaluation confirmed substantive changes in the business owner's understanding of halal as a strategic business instrument, improvements to the raw material recording system, and a shift in consumer perception from a price-oriented to a value-oriented one. This activity contributes to the theoretical integration of the PAR approach and strategic management and marketing frameworks in the context of Indonesian culinary MSMEs.

This study aims to identify and analyze Ramadan-specific lexicons used by Indonesian Muslim communities on social media, as well as to describe the cultural meanings embedded within them. The study employs an anthropolinguistic approach with a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques from three social media platforms X (Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram during the Ramadan 1446 H/2025 period. A total of 32 Ramadan-specific lexicons were identified and classified into three categories: greetings and expressions (12 items), worship-related lexicons (10 items), and culinary lexicons (10 items). The findings reveal that Ramadan lexicons circulating on social media reflect a blend of Islamic religious values, local Indonesian cultural traditions, and the influence of digital globalization. The hybrid nature of the language used — including code-mixing between Indonesian, Arabic, and English — illustrates the dynamic cultural identity of contemporary Indonesian Muslims. Ultimately, this study affirms that language is a living mirror of culture, one that continues to evolve alongside social and technological change.

Trade secrets are a type of Intellectual Property Right that plays a crucial role in providing legal protection for business information with economic value and kept confidential by its owner. In the food industry, recipes not only serve as production guidelines but also serve as a business's identity and competitive advantage. Legal issues can arise if the recipe is used or owned by others without permission, especially when conflicts arise within the business or during competition. This situation can trigger trade secret disputes that can be detrimental to business owners, both financially and sustainably. This article discusses the position of fried chicken recipes as trade secrets in culinary business practices in Indonesia and the forms of legal protection available to rights holders. The discussion was conducted based on the provisions of Law Number 30 of 2000 concerning Trade Secrets, using a normative approach. The analysis shows that a fried chicken recipe falls into the trade secret category if it meets the requirements of being unknown to the public, having economic value, and being strictly maintained by the business owner. Therefore, legal protection for trade secrets is crucial to prevent unfair business competition and provide legal certainty and protection for culinary businesses in Indonesia
