The Mayangsari culinary tourism village Semarang was formed in 2018 by a number of people who are members of the Putra Mayangsari Disaster Preparedness Group (KSB Puma) and the Mayangsari Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis Mayangsari). The Semarang City Culture and Tourism Office provided ideas for developing Mayangsari River Tourism by highlighting the potential attractions of river tubing, river education and culinary tourism. The development of the Mayangsari culinary tourism village, which is a finalist in the 2022 great village competition in the creative and innovative village category, still has several things that need to be improved, especially regarding accounting records for culinary tourism. The development of Ngrupit Village as a tourism village is inseparable from the participation of all members of the community. One of the important elements in supporting the creation of a tourist village is the existence of an institution that can manage and organize tourism businesses or what we call a Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). This service activity aims to provide assistance to Pokdarwis Ngrupit Village to increase the understanding and capabilities of its members in tourism business governance. This service begins with the formation of Pokdarwis institutions, tourism potential survey activities, Forum Group Discussion (FGD) activities, and training in tourism business governance. Through this training activity, Pokdarwis of Ngrupit Village was given training, socialization, assistance, and empowerment regarding tourism business management, including financial management, marketing, facilities, and customer service. The benchmark for the success of this service activity is seen from the pre-test and post-test scores in the training activities. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 66.42 and the average post-test score was 87.14 in the tourism business management training. While in the training of Branding and Marketing of Tourism Businesses, the average pre-test score was 50.71 and post-test was 85.71. The pandemic that occurred in 2020 had quite an impact on the world economy, one of which was in Indonesia. In Indonesia itself, many people who have experienced an economic downturn from the trade, business and tourism sectors are feeling the impact. The impact of the economic downturn was also felt by people in rural areas. In the midst of declining economic conditions in society, social entrepreneurship is needed as a solution to revive economic conditions and overcome social problems in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. Economic improvement in rural areas can be done with the presence of social entrepreneurship. Villages with attractive potential can be a source of increasing the community's economy by holding a tourism village-based business. The community's role and government's attention are needed to support the improvement of the tourism village-based community economy. Therefore, synergy between the community and the local government is needed to overcome this problem. One of these solutions is to see the potential that exists in the village and develop it into a tourist village. Cangkringan itself has seven criteria according to Hadiwijoyo's statement (2012). The role of the local government is needed for the realization of Cangkringan to become a tourist village.
