Infant deaths generally occur in the early neonatal period due to hypothermia. The incidence of hypothermia in newborns is quite high, globally ranging from 8.5-52%, an estimated 17 million newborns experience hypothermia in developing countries. The incidence of hypothermia in newborn babies is 92.3%, the infant mortality rate due to hypothermia is 6.3%. One intervention to minimize the incidence of hypothermia in newborn babies is to initiate early breastfeeding. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of early initiation of breastfeeding on hypothermia in newborn babies at the Bakti Timah Karimun Hospital. The research method used a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with 14 respondents. The measuring instruments in this study were a digital axillary thermometer, standard operating procedures (SOP) for early breastfeeding initiation and observation sheets. Data analysis using paired sample t-test. The results of the paired sample t-test found a p-value = 0.000 (p<0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an influence of early initiation of breastfeeding on hypothermia in newborn babies in the Midwifery Room at Bakti Timah Karimun Hospital. Early initiation of breastfeeding can be used as an intervention for newborns to minimize the incidence of hypothermia

Ayah Village is one of the villages in Ayah District, located near the beach. Based on data, exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Ayah's village from January-May 2022 is less than the target of 75%. This is caused by the lack of information regarding exclusive breastfeeding, irregularities in complying with ANC schedules, and less strategic placement of posyandu locations. Apart from that, the two posyandu do not routinely hold classes for pregnant women. The aim of this community service is to prepare for the postpartum period and exclusive breastfeeding through education and Hypnobreastfeeding in the Pregnant Women's Class in my father's village. The community service method is by screening 10 pregnant TM III people according to the criteria to be included in the pregnant women class. Then provide education and Hypnobreastfeeding to prepare for the postpartum and breastfeeding period. Complementary food for breast milk is the child's second food after breastfeeding. MP-ASI is given to babies who are half a year old or older because breast milk does not meet the child's nutritional needs. MP-ASI feeding must be continuous and varied, starting from fruit, fresh fruit, thick porridge, mashed food, soft food, and finally solid food. The reason for giving MP-ASI at the age of six months is because the child is ready for solid food (Chomaria, 2013). The presentation and arrangement of MP-ASI must be carried out in stages, both in structure and quantity, according to the capacity of the child's stomach. Breast milk only meets the healthy needs of newborn children, but 60% of adult babies 6 years old. Based on the results of bivariate analysis using chi square, the p value = 0.001 (p <0.05) with a confidence level of 95%. This p value statistically shows that there is a relationship between the mother's level of knowledge about complementary foods for breast milk and the provision of complementary foods for babies aged 6-12 months at the BP Nauli Community Health Center, Siantar Marihat District, Pematangsiantar City in 2023 with a p value of 0.001 Providing complementary foods for breast milk , mothers can give food to their babies in stages and provide a variety of foods starting with 1 type of flavor then another, starting with thick porridge, fruit juice, fresh fruit, mashed food, soft food and finally solid food, should be given 3 times a day and Breast milk is still given. According to research results, Widodo (2006) said that in rural communities in Indonesia, the type of MP-ASI that is commonly given to babies before the age of 4 months is 57.3% banana. An initial survey was conducted at the BP Nauli Community Health Center, Siantar Marihat District on mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months. Of the 12 mothers who were interviewed, there were 7 mothers who gave MP-ASI to babies before the age of 6 months, and 5 mothers said that the baby I have been given formula milk since I was born because only a little breast milk comes out. From the results of this background, the author is interested in researching "The relationship between the level of mother's knowledge about complementary foods for breast milk and the provision of complementary foods for breast milk to babies aged 6-12 months at the BP Nauli Community Health Center, Siantar Marihat District, Pematangsiantar City in 2023."

Breast milk is the perfect and best food for babies, especially babies 0-6 months because it contains the nutritional elements needed for optimal growth and development of babies (Ministry of Health, 2021). Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding for 6 months without giving any drinks or food, including clear water, vitamins and medicine (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020). Exclusive breastfeeding can be given directly or indirectly. Direct breastfeeding is by breastfeeding, while indirect breastfeeding is done by expressing or pumping breast milk, storing it, and then giving it to the baby. Giving breast milk based on the definition above, the mother is said to give exclusive breast milk if the baby is only given breast milk for the age of 0-6 months, while the mother is said to give non-exclusive breast milk if the baby is given other additional food or drink at the age of 0-6 months (Proverawati, 2015). Exclusive breastfeeding with growth in babies aged 7-12 months at the BP Nauli Community Health Center, Kec. Siantar Marihat Pematangsiantar City In 2023, the majority will be given exclusive breast milk with 18 people growing fat, 15 people will not be given exclusive breast milk with a normal body. The results of the Chi-square test show that with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and growth in babies aged 7-12 months at the BP Nauli District Health Center. Siantar Marihat, Pematangsiantar City in 2023. Based on the results of the research, it can be seen that out of the 62 respondents, 35 babies were given exclusive breast milk (56.6%) and 27 people were not exclusively breastfed (43.5%). There were 27 mothers who did not give exclusive breast milk to their babies (43.5%). This is due to the mother's lack of knowledge about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding and there are also mothers who work so they say they do not give exclusive breast milk to their babies because of the mother's lack of knowledge about expressed breast milk.

Early Initiation of Breastfeeding is the process of a baby breastfeeding immediately after birth, where the baby is allowed to look for the mother's own nipple (not having the nipple offered). Early initiation of breastfeeding will greatly help in the continuation of exclusive breastfeeding (breast milk only) and the duration of breastfeeding. IMD has been shown to extend the duration of breastfeeding, increase the chances of a baby being breastfed in the first months of life, and can also contribute to increased exclusive breastfeeding. Babies who practice IMD also appear to interact more with their mothers and cry less (UNICEF, 2018; WHO, 2019 ). This type of research is analytical, namely the researcher will analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge and basic immunization provision, with a cross-sectional design, namely data on the mother's level of knowledge and basic immunization provision. The research was conducted at the Midwife Sri Wulandari clinic, S.Tr.Keb in 2023. The research was conducted April to June 2022. The population is relatively small, namely under 100 people. From the description above, the author used a total sampling technique, namely 52 mothers with 1 year old babies.
