This study aimed to develop Matif (Interactive Mathematics) video media on the topic of equivalent fractions for fourth-grade elementary school students and to determine its validity, effectiveness, and student responses. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. It was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Gresik during the first semester, involving 19 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques included interviews, expert validation sheets for content and media, learning effectiveness tests, and student response questionnaires. The development process followed five ADDIE stages. (1) Analysis involved curriculum analysis, needs analysis, and student characteristics analysis. (2) Design focused on creating the learning flow and storyboard. (3) Development produced the video media, which was validated by experts. The material expert validation score reached 97.5%, and the media expert validation score was 91.6%, both categorized as very valid. These results indicate that the material is highly appropriate, clear, and easy to understand, while the media demonstrates excellent quality in visual, audio, typography, language, and usability aspects. (4) Implementation involved testing the media on students, with an N-Gain score of 0.8405, categorized as high, indicating that the media effectively improves students’ understanding. (5) Evaluation was conducted through student response questionnaires, resulting in a score of 95.5%, categorized as very good, showing that students found the media engaging, easy to use, and helpful. Overall, the Matif video media meets the criteria of validity and effectiveness, making it suitable as an innovative learning alternative, with potential for further development through enhanced animations and varied exercises.

Oral communication is a core competency in 21st-century education; however, instructional materials in elementary schools tend to emphasize reading and writing rather than structured speaking practice. This gap highlights the need for innovative learning resources that explicitly foster students’ oral communication skills. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) module designed to enhance the oral communication skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were 30 fourth-grade students, and the developed module was validated by three experts in material, media, and language. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest performance assessments. The expert validation results indicated high feasibility, with scores of 95% (material), 94% (media), and 96% (language), yielding an overall average of 95%. Teacher and student responses demonstrated strong practicality (92% and 88%, respectively; average 90%). The effectiveness test revealed a significant improvement in students’ oral communication performance, with mean scores increasing from 67 (pretest) to 86 (posttest), resulting in an N-Gain of 0.65, categorized as moderately high effectiveness. These findings suggest that the developed PjBL module is feasible, practical, and effective in improving elementary students’ oral communication skills. The study contributes to the field of communication-oriented instructional design by demonstrating how structured project-based modules, supported by simple digital enhancements such as QR-linked instructional videos, can systematically integrate speaking practice into Indonesian language learning at the primary level.

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the world of education, one of which is the introduction of various new media in learning, such as Smart TV. Smart TV, with its interactive multimedia features, offers a great opportunity to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning, particularly in increasing the enthusiasm and interest in reading for elementary school students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of utilizing Smart TV as a digital transformation medium in increasing students' interest in reading at MI Darun Najah, Srobyong, Mlonggo, Jepara. The method used is a descriptive qualitative case study approach, involving fourth and fifth grade students and class teachers as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the application of Smart TV in learning activities. The results of the study indicate that the use of Smart TV can increase active student engagement in the learning process. Students are more motivated and interested in reading, thanks to the attractive visual display and interactive multimedia features. Smart TV also creates a more enjoyable learning atmosphere, by integrating various types of media, such as images, videos, and text, which support learning. However, several obstacles were also found, including limited mastery of technology by teachers and limited time for technology integration in daily learning. Therefore, this study recommends ongoing training for teachers in operating Smart TVs and the development of a more flexible digital technology-based curriculum to maximize the benefits of using Smart TVs in elementary school learning. The study also suggests the need for regular evaluation of the effectiveness of Smart TV use in improving students' literacy skills.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using animated video media in improving elementary school students’ understanding of the material of changes in the form of objects, which includes the process of melting, freezing, evaporating, condensing, and sublimating. The material is often difficult for students to understand because it is abstract and cannot always be observed directly. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach, where data is collected and analyzed from various reliable sources such as accredited scientific journal articles, books, and previous research results. The analysis technique used refers to the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the animated video media can improve students’ cognitive understanding through visualization of complex processes, strengthen information retention, and reduce common misconceptions. In addition, this media is also proven to increase students’ motivation, interest in learning, and participation in learning. The effectiveness of animated videos is greatly influenced by the quality of visual design, narration, appropriate duration, and their integration in learning activities such as discussions or experiments. Despite challenges such as limited facilities and teacher training needs, strategic solutions can be implemented to optimize the use of this media. Thus, animated videos can be an innovative and relevant strategic alternative in science learning in elementary schools, especially in conveying abstract concepts in a concrete and fun way.

The rapid development of educational technology presents new opportunities for enhancing the teaching and learning process through electronic media, which can make learning more interesting and interactive, thus increasing student motivation and engagement. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of different teaching methods direct teaching and the use of audio-visual media in enhancing English language comprehension among fifth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut, Palangka Raya. The research involved a service activity conducted with lecturers and students from the Tadris English Education Study Program (TBI) IAIN Palangka Raya. The methodology included both pre-service preparations and the implementation of two distinct teaching approaches. Class 5A received direct teaching with active interaction, while Class 5B utilized interactive videos. The study revealed that conventional teaching in Class 5A faced challenges such as reduced student engagement and passive participation. However, strategic improvements in teaching techniques and classroom management were recommended to enhance effectiveness. In contrast, the use of technological media in Class 5B resulted in higher student engagement and better comprehension of the material, as evidenced by their active participation and correct responses during activities. Overall, the study highlights the advantages and disadvantages of both teaching methods, emphasizing that the choice of method should be context-specific and aligned with learning objectives and student characteristics. The findings suggest that integrating technological media can significantly enhance the learning experience and outcomes, particularly for elementary school students.
