Meningitis is a serious infectious disease that can be prevented through vaccination; however, the vaccination process often causes anxiety in patients, especially during the pre-procedure phase. Uncontrolled anxiety can affect patient readiness and comfort. Therapeutic communication by nurses is one intervention that has the potential to reduce this level of anxiety. This study aims to determine the relationship between nurses’ therapeutic communication and the anxiety levels of patients prior to meningitis vaccination at Pambalah Batung Amuntai Regional General Hospital. This study used a quantitative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 107 respondents selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data on therapeutic communication were collected using an observation sheet, while anxiety levels were measured using the DASS questionnaire (anxiety subscale). Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods with the Chi-Square test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most therapeutic communication was in the good category, and patient anxiety levels were predominantly in the normal category. Statistical test results indicated a significant relationship between nurses’ therapeutic communication and patient anxiety levels (p = 0.000 < 0.05). The better the therapeutic communication provided, the lower the patient’s anxiety level. In conclusion, nurses’ therapeutic communication plays an important role in reducing patient anxiety prior to meningitis vaccination and needs to be optimized in nursing practice.

Equitable vaccine distribution is a global issue that has received increasing attention, especially since the increasing need for vaccines in the face of modern pandemics. This study aims to analyze the inequality in vaccine distribution and the factors influencing vaccine hesitancy through a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing literature studies and supporting data in the form of graphs. The analysis results show that high-income countries have significantly greater access to vaccines than middle- and low-income countries, creating inequalities that impact public health protection. Furthermore, levels of vaccine hesitancy were found to vary across social groups, with adolescents being the group with the highest rate of rejection due to the influence of misinformation and low trust in health institutions. These findings confirm that the success of a vaccination program is determined not only by the availability of equitable distribution but also by public acceptance, which is influenced by social, psychological, and ethical factors. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of applying bioethical principles such as justice, beneficence, and autonomy in formulating effective and inclusive vaccination policies.

Diarrhea is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children under five, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. To reduce the incidence of diarrhea, the government has implemented a policy to prevent it by administering rotavirus vaccination. To determine the relationship between rotavirus vaccination and the incidence of diarrhea in infants in Sadai sub-district, the working area of UPT Puskesmas Sei Panas, Batam City in 2024. This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach to 72 infants who received rotavirus vaccination.The implementation time starts on October 23 to November 06, 2024. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Measurement tools using questionnaires and observation sheets. Analysis of the data used is the chi square test. The study obtained rotavirus vaccination as many as 40 infants (55.6%), the incidence of moderate diarrhea as many as 37 infants (51.4%). Chi-Square test results showed the value of p value = 2.167. Because of the value (p value 2.167 > 0.05), this relationship is not statistically significant. There is no significant relationship between rotavirus vaccination and the incidence of diarrhea in infants in Sadai Village working area of UPT Puskesmas Sei Panas Batam City in 2024.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the vaccination program in Indonesia as an effort to mitigate the health crisis. However, this emergency has also opened up opportunities for the widespread circulation of illegal and counterfeit vaccines, threatening public safety. This article aims to analyze the legal implications of this phenomenon through a normative-empirical approach using case studies. Three main cases are analyzed: the 2016 national counterfeit vaccine case, the 2021 illegal COVID-19 vaccine sales case in North Sumatra, and the falsification of COVID-19 vaccine certificates that occurred between 2021 and 2022. The analysis focuses on identifying legal loopholes, weaknesses in the oversight system, and their consequences for human rights protection and the integrity of public health programs. The results show fragmented oversight of vaccine distribution, weak transparency in the vaccine supply chain, and legal sanctions that have not provided a significant deterrent effect on perpetrators of health crimes. These conditions not only threaten individual safety but also undermine public trust in the national vaccination program. Inconsistent law enforcement and weak inter-agency coordination have exacerbated the situation. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen stricter regulations, increase synergy between supervisory and law enforcement agencies, and secure an integrated and transparent health information system. These measures are expected to ensure the security of vaccine distribution and enhance the accountability of the vaccination program in Indonesia, thus optimally protecting the public's right to health.

Vaksin merupakan produk biologis dengan karakteristik khusus yang membutuhkan penanganan secara hati-hati melalui sistem rantai dingin (cold chain) sejak tahap produksi di pabrik hingga digunakan di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan untuk mencapai efektivitas penggunaan yang optimal, ketersediaan vaksin harus dikelola dengan baik, dalam jumlah yang memadai, memiliki  mutu yang terjamin, serta tersedia tepat waktu, Penyimpanan vaksin merupakan bagian dari proses pengelolaan logistik yang dilakukan mengunakam sistem rantai dingin guna menjaga kualitas, melindungi dari kerusakan fisik maupun kimia, serta mempertahankan stabilitas mutu hingga vaksin diberikan kepada penerima. Berdasarkan sensitivitas terhadap suhu, vaksin dikelompokkan menjadi dua kategori, yaitu vaksin yang rentan terhadap pembekuan seperti Hepatitis B, DPT-HB-HIb, DPT-HB, IPV, DT, TT, dan Td serta vaksin yang sensitif terhadap panas seperti BCG, Polio, dan Campak.

The development of vaccines for tropical viruses such as dengue and Zika presents a significant challenge in global health. These viruses not only cause serious health complications but also impact health systems and economies in tropical countries. CRISPR/Cas9 technology offers an innovative solution to accelerate vaccine development by enabling precise gene editing. This study aims to explore the potential of CRISPR in accelerating the design and production of vaccines for tropical viruses. The method used in this study is a laboratory-based experimental design involving genetic engineering, with dengue and Zika virus genome models. The first step involves identifying virus target genes using the CRISPR/Cas9 system, which allows the detection of specific genes involved in pathogenesis and immune responses. Subsequently, genetic constructs are designed to generate vaccine candidates that can efficiently and precisely target pathogens. The resulting vaccines are tested in vitro in cell cultures to observe immune responses and their effectiveness against virus infections. The results show that CRISPR not only accelerates the process of identifying and engineering vaccine genes but also significantly improves vaccine production efficiency. CRISPR-based vaccines demonstrate higher immunogenicity compared to conventional methods, thus holding potential as the foundation for developing faster and safer next-generation vaccines. However, this study also identifies challenges related to off-target effects and the efficient delivery of CRISPR components, which require further research to ensure safety and efficacy in human clinical applications.

The high risk of zoonotic disease transmission in cattle farming environments necessitates effective education to enhance workers' understanding and hygienic behaviors. This study aims to improve workers' awareness and hygienic practices in preventing zoonotic diseases through an outreach program at Manonjaya Farm. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, involving semi-structured interviews and direct observation. The educational activities were conducted interactively using posters, lectures, and demonstrations of the six-step Handwashing with Soap (CTPS) technique. The results indicate an increase in workers' understanding of zoonotic risks, particularly bovine tuberculosis, as well as the importance of maintaining barn cleanliness, regular vaccinations, and the use of personal protective equipment. Furthermore, the CTPS practice successfully enhanced workers’ skills and consistency in implementing hygienic behaviors. Supporting strategies such as the installation of educational posters, distribution of vaccination logbooks, and provision of handwashing soap contributed to the sustainability of behavioral changes. These findings affirm the effectiveness of interactive lectures and demonstrations in improving knowledge and preventive measures against zoonotic diseases within farming communities, aligning with the One Health approach.

This thesis discusses the role of Achmad Mochtar, a prominent scientist from Indonesia, in the Tragedy of the Fatal Vaccine in Romusah that occurred during the Japanese military occupation, as reported by foreign press in 1944-1945. The aim of this research is to examine the reputation of Achmad Mochtar, who became one of the best scientists Indonesia has ever had, in facing the Tragedy of the Fatal Vaccine in Romusah, where victims died after being injected with a vaccine contaminated with tetanus toxin. The research uses a historical method with a social reconstruction approach based on data from newspapers such as De Telegraaf and HandelsBlad. The methods used in this paper include the historical method, which consists of data collection (heuristics), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The data used are mainly from newspapers like De Telegraaf and HandelsBlad, as well as supporting books and websites such as KITLV and www.delpher.nl/kranten, which have greatly facilitated the author in gathering historical sources related to this paper. This study explains that Achmad Mochtar was a doctor and scientist who strongly opposed the Japanese military occupation and the scenario created by the Japanese military in the Tragedy of the Fatal Vaccine in Romusah in 1944-1945. This research uses data analysis methods to examine foreign press reports related to the tragedy, with a focus on how foreign media depicted Achmad Mochtar’s involvement in the cause of the Tragedy of the Fatal Vaccine in Romusah in 1944-1945 and its impact. The results of this study are as follows: Achmad Mochtar, one of the best scientists Indonesia has ever had, became the subject of intense discussion regarding the tragedy he had to endure, the death of Romusah in 1944-1945. Various foreign newspapers, particularly De Telegraaf and HandelsBlad, focused on reporting the ambitious plans of the Japanese military in the creation of vaccines, which were actually intended by the Japanese military to be developed as biological weapons and tested to observe the effects before being used in the Greater East Asia War, which ultimately resulted in the fatal death of hundreds of Romusah in the Klender camp.

The strategy for preventing cervical cancer includes primary prevention through the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccine, which is used to prevent cervical cancer, especially in women. The Ministry of Health has included HPV vaccination as a mandatory vaccine. This study aims to support government programs and identify the role of nurses as educators and consultants for nursing students. The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nursing students regarding HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccination in Jayapura City. The research method used is an analytical orrelational survey with a retrospective design. The sampling technique applied was accidental sampling, involving 109 respondents. The results of this study indicate a relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitudes of nursing students regarding HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccination in Jayapura City.

Illocutionary speech acts are actions of doing something with a specific purpose and function. Illocutionary speech acts as one of the main aspects of the study of speech. Acts are divided into five types, namely expressive, declarative, assertive, directive, and commissive speech acts. This research focuses its study on illocutionary speech acts in the Research of Community Mental Health Initiative's YouTube channel video playlist entitled "A Playlist About Vaccines". This research aims to analyze five types of illocutionary speech acts in speech delivered through videos on YouTube channels. The research data collection technique uses a qualitative descriptive approach. In this research, we also use the collecting method, listening method, and formal method. Based on the research results, we found several inaccuracies in illocutionary speech acts, namely, expressive, declarative, assertive, directive, and commissive speech acts. The benefit of this research is to develop science and knowledge about illusionary speech acts. For the public, this research is useful in increasing their general knowledge regarding the use of speech acts. With this research, it is hoped that it can become reference material for other writers who will conduct similar research. The data taken in this research is an analysis of illusionary speech acts in the Vaccine video on the YouTube Channel Research of Community Mental Health Initiative.

Vaccination attacks for children 6-11 years old is very important in community service activities because they can help speed up the spread of the covid-19 vaccine, thereby minimizing elementary school children contracting Covid-19. The purpose of this community service is to help elementary schools feel calmer in carrying out offline learning, as an effort to avoid learning loss when learning online. This activity was supported by the principal and teachers of SD Krian III and the AAL Health unit Health workers. Vaccination is carried out 2 times, namely the 1st vaccination on January 11, 2022 and the second vaccination on February 16, 2022. The vaccination implementation is guided by the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/MENKES/6688/2021 concerning the Implementation of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 Vaccination (Covid- 19) for children aged 6 (six) to 11 (eleven) years, with a vaccination service screening format. The results of the 1st vaccination activity of 610 registrants who vaccinated 609 children, of which 1 was postponed. Vaccination 2 of 452 children, 1 child for vaccine 1 and 451 children for vaccine 2. It is recommended to develop a vaccine attack to elementary school students in areas that have not been vaccinated.

The rush of vaccinations for the community is very important because it can help accelerate the spread of the Covid-19 vaccine, thereby minimizing the number of people infected with Covid-19. The purpose of this Community Service is to help the community be calmer in carrying out a new life in the Covid-19 pandemic called the new normal, by always implementing health protocols, namely wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance.  This activity was supported by a team of lecturers, a team of cadets, volunteers of the Jalapati team, and health workers of the AAL Health unit. Cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the female genital organs caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), and preventive measures are highly recommended rather than curative measures. Prevention efforts are still poorly understood, so education is needed to increase vaccination coverage. The aim of this service is to increase participants' understanding of cancer vaccines. This method was used to discuss with partners at SDN Pusat No. 1 Patalasang District. Takalar, and students and teachers participate. Participants' knowledge was assessed through pre-test and post-test. The test result in front of 6 teachers and 15 students was 71.4, increasing to 98.2 at the time of the test. All service participants were satisfied with the implementation of the service because they felt the information was very useful and they needed it. All participants feel the benefits of using the services. Participants hope to continue this service in the future with free pap smears and vaccinations. It can be concluded that advice on cancer prevention and vaccination increased participants' understanding from 71.4 to 98.2 and was highly appreciated by the participants.

The COVID-19 vaccination program is a new program initiated by the government to create herd immunity for COVID-19 with a target target of 70% of the population. Vaccination turns out to provide its own anxiety for the community. Anxiety occurs during the Covid-19 pandemic and is also felt when there is a vaccination program in the community. To find out the relationship between the vaccination program and the level of anxiety in the community during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Rt. 02 Bojong Baru Village, Bogor Regency in 2021. The type of research used is descriptive correlation research using a cross sectional study approach. Based on the results of the Spearman rank test, there is a correlation or relationship between the administration of the vaccination program and the level in the Rt.

Administering advanced doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (booster) to the public will provide longer protection against the corona virus. The benefits of booster vaccines from a health perspective have at least 3 important reasons. First, there has been a tendency for the number of antibodies to decrease since 6 months after vaccination, especially amid the emergence of new Covid-19 variants including the Second Omicron variant, as a form of effort to adapt people living during the Covid-19 pandemic for long-term health. And third, fulfilling the right of every Indonesian to access vaccines for self and community protection.Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who lack the awareness to apply the 5M principles, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility. Everyone must be willing and able to make changes in 5M compliance behavior, so as to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The Devotion Team and church servants always remind all members of the congregation to remain disciplined in complying with health protocols and supporting the government's efforts to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19. One of the efforts that can be used to stop the transmission of Covid-19 is by administering the covid-19 vaccine and booster vaccines, using PPE, washing hands, and keeping a distance.The result of this service activity is that all members of the dock seven congregation and its surroundings will receive a complete vaccine starting from vaccines 1, 2, booster 1, and booster 2 so that an immune system and clinical protection are achieved as an effort to maintain long-term health.

Pematangsiantar City Army Hospital is one of the state-owned health facilities that provides booster vaccination services with 4 types of booster vaccines available, namely sinovac, astrazeneca, pfizer and moderna. The uncertain level of demand for booster vaccines causes the Pematangsiantar City Army Hospital to require booster vaccine inventory policy planning using the continuous review (s,S) method to prevent overstock which results in considerable cost expenditures. From the calculation of booster vaccine inventory control using the continuous review method (s,S), it is obtained that the total inventory cost has a significant percentage change. For the type of sinovac, the percentage change in total inventory costs reaches 92% of the total inventory costs in the existing conditions, for astrazeneca reaches 58% of the total inventory costs in the existing conditions, for pfizer reaches 60% of the total inventory costs in the existing conditions, and for moderna reaches 95% of the total inventory costs in the existing conditions. The results of the calculation of the total cost of inventory with continuous review (s,S) can provide a decrease in costs incurred by the Pematangsiantar City Army Hospital. This is because the continuous review (s,S) inventory policy minimises the cost of vaccine shortages which are quite costly.

The Covid-19 vaccine is a breakthrough to fight and treat Covid-19. The family in a situation like this is the first and main defense system for the country in preventing the spread of Covid-19 transmission. It is the role inherent in the family that needs to be optimized as a preventive strategy in dealing with Covid-19 through the Covid-19 vaccine. This research aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and perception of the community with Covid-19 vaccination in North Lembang Rano, Rano District, Tana Toraja Regency in 2022. This research method is observational with a cross-sectional approach, the sample size is 92 respondents who are representative of the population. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire and tested statistically with the help of the SPSS computer program, and presented in the form of tables and narratives. From the results of this research, it was found that the majority of respondents were female, namely 57 people (62.0%), the majority of respondents aged 31-50 were 49 people (53.3%), the majority of respondents worked as farmers, namely 35 people (38%) The majority respondents with good knowledge were 84 people (91.3%), the majority of respondents with good perception were 90 people (97.8%) and the majority of respondents with good Covid-19 vaccination were 49 people (53.3%). The results of the Fisher's Exact Test statistical test showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and Covid-19 vaccination with a p-value = 0.006 and it was also found that there was a relationship between public perception and Covid-19 vaccination with a p-value = 0.007. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and perception of the community with Covid-19 vaccination in North Lembang Rano, Rano District, Tana Toraja Regency in 2022. It is recommended for the public to increase Covid-19 vaccination and always maintain their health by having regular check-ups and Always adopt a healthy lifestyle to avoid health problems.

Terdapat 240 zona merah covid-19 di seluruh Indonesia, dan terdapat 5 zona merah untuk Provinsi Sulawesi tenggara yaitu kota Kendari, kota Bau-bau, Kolaka, Muna dan Konawe. Berbagai regulasi diterbitkan oleh pemerintah dalam upaya penanggulangan covid-19 termasuk didalamnya adalah program vaksinasi yang diharapkan dapat membentuk kekebalan kelompok/ herd immunity. Salah satu indikator keberhasilan program vaksinasi adalah terbentuknya antibodi anti SARS-CoV-2 (IgM dan IgG). Tujuan kegiatan adalah melakukan kegiatan skrining berupa pemeriksaan antibodi SARS-CoV-2 sebagai salah satu indikator keberhasilan program vaksinasi covid-19 bagi siswa-siswi SMAN 1 Soropia. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode imukokromatografi. Hasil skrining antibodi SARS-CoV-2 memperlihatkan hasil positif/reaktif sebanyak 32 orang (43%) yang tersebar menjadi reaktif IgM sebanyak 12 orang  (16%), IgG sebanyak15 orang (20%), IgM dan IgG sebanyak 5 orang (7%), serta hasil negatif/ non reaktif sebanyak 43 orang (57%). Seyogianya, program vaksinasi dikatakan berhasil jika dapat merangsang pembentukan antibodi dalam  tubuh, namun dalam kenyataannya lebih dari 50% subjek yang menunjukkan hasil negatif/ non reaktif. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh banyak faktor seperti efikasi vaksin dan juga respon imun tiap orang.
