The Rumah Padat Karya Program in Surabaya City is one of the local government policies to reduce poverty through job creation and empowerment of low-income communities (MBR). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Rumah Padat Karya Program in reducing poverty rates in Surabaya and to assess its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The study employs a formal evaluation approach with a formative evaluation type, given that the program is still ongoing. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively. The evaluation was conducted using William N. Dunn’s (2003) criteria, comprising effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness. The results indicate that the program is fairly effective in reducing poverty and unemployment through local workforce absorption and the productive utilization of previously idle government assets. However, limitations remain, including budget constraints, inter-district facility disparities, weak inter-agency coordination, and suboptimal business mentoring and market access. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the mentoring system, equalize facilities, and enhance cross-sector collaboration so that the program can run more optimally and sustainably.

This study aims to describe the utilization of multimodal media in teaching news text reading skills among seventh-grade junior high school students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 61 seventh-grade students as the research respondents. The research instrument used a Likert scale covering aspects of students’ perceptions, comprehension, motivation, participation, and readiness toward the use of multimodal media in learning news text reading skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques through percentage calculations and interpretation of respondents’ answers. The findings revealed that most students showed positive responses toward the use of multimodal media. A total of 72.1% of students agreed that learning through printed and digital media made the learning process more engaging. In addition, 59% of students stated that digital media helped them understand news content more clearly, while 60.7% felt more active during learning activities using multimodal media. The use of multimodal media also increased students’ motivation, self-confidence, and reading comprehension skills in understanding news texts. The findings indicate that the combination of printed and digital media creates a more interactive and effective learning environment that aligns with students’ literacy needs in the digital era. Therefore, multimodal media can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to improve students’ news text reading skills in junior high schools. The implications of this study highlight the importance of integrating digital and printed media in Indonesian language learning to enhance students’ reading literacy quality.

Although MSMEs are crucial to the economy, the sustainability of non-franchise micro-enterprises is often hampered by suboptimal financial governance. Low utilization of financial information, lack of separation between personal and business finances, and unstructured cash flow management are challenges that can affect long-term business sustainability. This quantitative study aims to evaluate the impact of financial record keeping, capital planning, and cash cycle management on the sustainability of non-franchise micro-enterprises in Mekargalih Village, Garut Regency. Using a survey method and saturated sampling technique, data from 70 business owners were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that financial record keeping does not have a significant impact on business sustainability, indicating that recording activities are still administrative in nature and have not been optimally utilized as a basis for business decision-making. Conversely, capital planning and cash cycle management have been shown to have a positive and significant impact on business sustainability. Business owners who are able to plan capital needs and maintain smooth cash flow tend to be more able to maintain the stability of their business operations. Multi Sari MSME, located in Pangkalan Batang Village, Bengkalis Regency, produces traditional local products such as fish crackers, shrimp crackers, and sago crackers. Despite having quality products, legal business permits, halal certification, and stable raw material availability, the enterprise still faced limitations in digital marketing practices, resulting in a limited market reach. This community service program aimed to improve the marketing capacity of the MSME through the implementation of digital marketing strategies. The methods employed included SWOT and STP analyses, Google Business Profile development, social media management, content calendar preparation, promotional content creation, and marketplace utilization. The program also involved mentoring and training activities to enhance the partner’s understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques. The results showed significant improvements in the partner’s knowledge and skills in utilizing digital platforms for marketing purposes. Furthermore, Multi Sari MSME now possesses more structured digital marketing channels, increasing product visibility and creating opportunities to reach a broader market. Therefore, digital marketing has proven to be an effective strategy for enhancing MSME competitiveness, business sustainability, and market expansion in the digital era.

Increasingly intense market competition in the digital era requires companies to implement effective recruitment strategies to attract the best talent, particularly from Generation Z. This generation is highly familiar with digital technology and social media, making digital platforms their primary source of information regarding employment opportunities. In this context, employer branding and corporate social media utilization play important roles in shaping perceptions and influencing job application intentions. Although previous studies have examined the influence of employer branding and social media on recruitment outcomes, the findings remain inconsistent and often contradictory. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and evaluate the effects of employer branding and the intensity of corporate social media usage on the job application intentions of Generation Z. The research focuses on Generation Z individuals residing in the Singaparna area. This study is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing job application decisions among young people in the digital era. The findings are anticipated to serve as valuable insights for companies in designing more effective, innovative, and targeted recruitment strategies that align with the characteristics and preferences of Generation Z as the future workforce.

The remarkable global ascent of BTS, a South Korean music group operating under HYBE Corporation (formerly Big Hit Entertainment), is inseparable from a well-orchestrated and adaptive public relations (PR) framework. This study examines how HYBE's PR strategies propelled BTS to international prominence while simultaneously aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Adopting a qualitative methodology grounded in media content analysis, the research draws on data from international and national news coverage, official press materials, public speeches, digital platform content, and institutional documents spanning 2017 to 2024. Four strategic pillars characterize BTS's PR approach: (1) sustained authentic narrative construction centered on personal growth, social responsibility, and cultural pride; (2) strategic mobilization of the global ARMY fanbase as an active communication force; (3) integrated and innovative utilization of digital media ecosystems to amplify reach and engagement; and (4) deliberate repositioning of BTS as contributors to economic and industrial transformation through creative industries. The findings demonstrate that BTS's PR model does not merely serve commercial objectives; rather, it operates as a mechanism for advancing inclusive economic growth and fostering innovation within the global creative sector. This research contributes to the theoretical discourse on PR's evolving role at the intersection of popular culture, digital innovation, and global sustainable development.

Student engagement remains a critical determinant of academic success in elementary education, yet traditional instructional approaches often fail to sustain meaningful participation. This narrative literature review synthesizes contemporary evidence (2020–2026) on the strategic planning of Case-Based Learning (CBL) and its impact on multidimensional student engagement in primary schools. Using Google Scholar as the primary database, peer-reviewed studies were screened and thematically analyzed to identify core planning components, engagement outcomes, and contextual implementation factors. The synthesis revealed five essential instructional design elements: developmentally appropriate case selection, structured scaffolding, explicit curriculum alignment, adequate temporal allocation, and authentic assessment. Empirical findings consistently demonstrate that well-planned CBL significantly enhances behavioral participation, cognitive deepening, and affective motivation among elementary learners. However, implementation success is heavily moderated by teacher pedagogical competence, institutional support, and adaptive resource utilization. These findings underscore the necessity of integrating CBL planning frameworks into teacher professional development and curriculum design. Ultimately, strategically designed case-based instruction offers a transformative pathway to reinvigorate elementary classrooms, though sustained adoption requires targeted training, flexible policies, and further longitudinal research on engagement trajectories in primary education.

This community service activity is motivated by the increasing volume of household plastic waste that has not been optimally managed, thus potentially polluting the environment. Utilizing inorganic waste, especially used plastic bottles, as a planting medium is a simple solution to reduce pollution while increasing community creativity. This activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills in utilizing used plastic bottles as a useful and economically valuable planting medium container. The Women Farmers Group (KWT) participated in this activity on May 1, 2026 in Gempol Sari Village, Sepatan Timur District, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province. Participatory Action Research (PAR) strategies were used to carry out implementation techniques, which included socialization, training, direct practice, mentoring, and assessment. Pre- and post-activity tests were given and evaluated using Paired Sample T-Tests to assess the activity. After participating in the training, the level of participant understanding increased, in accordance with the results of the activity. Participants' knowledge increased significantly through this exercise, as indicated by a significant increase in their average post-test score from 92.86 to 78.57 (p < 0.05). In addition, participants were able to independently practice making simple planting media from used plastic bottles. This activity has positive implications for increasing environmental awareness and community creativity, as well as supporting economic empowerment and sustainable environmental management efforts.

National milkfish aquaculture production in 2024 reached 792,864 tons, highlighting the strategic role of this commodity in supporting the economy of coastal communities. central java,as one of the main contributors, has significant potential for pond development, including in Ujungwatu Village, Jepara Regency. However, pond management still faces challenges regarding human resource (HR) quality and the optimal utilization of technology. This community service program aims to enhance students’ capacity through outreach and training on Internet of Things (IoT)-based milkfish pond development as an effort to strengthen HR at the Sidomaju 2 SME. Implementation methods include the stages of observation and problem identification, work program planning, WebGIS design, IoT outreach and implementation, and evaluation. The materials covered included an introduction to IoT concepts based on ESP8266, pond monitoring, milkfish feed management, and the implementation of WebGIS as a digital mapping system for the Kalingga milkfish ponds.The activity was attended by 20 students from MA NU Ujungwatu and was conducted in a participatory manner through experiential learning. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in students’ understanding of the application of technology in milkfish farming, as well as heightened awareness of the importance of efficient and sustainable pond management. The main output of the program is the Kalingga Milkfish Pond WebGIS, which can be utilized as a digital medium for education and monitoring of pond areas. This program contributes to improving students’ technological literacy while supporting the strengthening of pond operational systems based on digital innovation.

In the digital era, e-commerce has developed not only as a platform for buying and selling activities but also as a strategic medium for marketing and business development. University students theoretically possess strong potential to become edupreneurs because they are closely connected to technology and supported by higher education environments. Nevertheless, the reality at Al-Amien Prenduan University indicates that students tend to act more as consumers in e-commerce rather than as entrepreneurs. This condition creates a gap between theoretical expectations and practical implementation, raising questions regarding the effectiveness of e-commerce in encouraging students’ entrepreneurial spirit. This study examines strategies for strengthening Edupreneurship graduates through the optimization of e-commerce. The research specifically explores ways to maximize e-commerce in supporting the development of Edupreneurship graduate profiles and improving graduates’ competitiveness in entrepreneurship and employment sectors. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed at Al-Amien Prenduan University. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving female students of the Islamic Education Edupreneurship program who actively engage in entrepreneurial activities through e-commerce platforms. The findings reveal that optimizing e-commerce can be achieved through identifying students’ digital competencies and needs, as well as utilizing flexible technologies that support broader market access and global transactions. In addition, strategies such as enhancing digital marketing creativity, strengthening market research capabilities, and understanding consumer behavior significantly contribute to entrepreneurial development. The study concludes that e-commerce effectively fosters entrepreneurial attitudes, adaptability, and competitiveness among students in facing the challenges of the digital economy.

This study aims to analyze the determinants of success of PT Makmur Susanti Group, a processed food MSME in Tulungagung, East Java, in achieving “Born Global” status by bypassing the traditional incremental internationalization process and penetrating global markets within only 2.5 years. The research employed a qualitative approach using a single case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with the owner as the key informant, participatory observation, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the company’s rapid internationalization was supported by three main factors, namely visionary managerial capability reflected in entrepreneurial alertness, continuous product innovation through selective raw material use and flavor localization, and the optimal utilization of digital ecosystems such as B2B platforms and Alibaba. In addition, the study identified a “symbiotic” business model involving export aggregators to serve diaspora niche markets, which challenges the conventional assumption that Born Global firms must independently manage international logistics. Furthermore, the owner’s legal background became a strategic advantage in addressing complex halal regulations and international certification requirements. This research contributes a new perspective on the phenomenon of “non-intentional” Born Global firms and highlights the importance of legal-formal competence for MSMEs, while also providing practical insights for regional MSMEs in integrating local comparative advantages with global competitive standards.

This study discusses the analysis of the account opening procedure for E-mas Savings through the digital platform BYOND by Bank Syariah Indonesia. The selection of this topic is motivated by the development of digital services in Islamic banking and the increasing public interest in gold investment products based on sharia principles. The purpose of this study is to identify the procedure for opening an E-mas Savings account and to examine its compliance with sharia accounting principles and DSN-MUI Fatwas. This research was conducted at Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Tegal Sutoyo using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of digital-based E-mas Savings services. The focus of the research was directed toward the stages of the account opening procedure, transaction mechanisms, and the application of sharia principles in digital banking services. The results indicate that the procedure for opening an E-mas Savings account has been implemented in accordance with applicable regulations and sharia principles, although there are still obstacles related to the uneven level of customer understanding regarding digital service mechanisms. In addition, the implementation of digital services through BYOND by BSI is considered capable of providing convenience, efficiency, and flexibility for customers in conducting gold investments without having to visit bank branches directly. Therefore, increased education and socialization for customers are needed so that the utilization of E-mas Savings can run more optimally and enhance public trust in digital-based sharia investment products.

This community service activity aims to enhance public understanding of the role of infrastructure in supporting quality of life, particularly through the utilization of the Sub PPKBD Tambakkemerakan Community Hall in Krian as a social and educational space. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasizes active community involvement in every stage of the activity, from problem identification to program implementation. The activities were carried out through a series of events that combined elements of togetherness, religiosity, and education, such as communal iftar (breaking the fast), congregational prayers, and an offline webinar featuring student speakers.The results indicate an improvement in community understanding of the importance of utilizing social infrastructure not only as a gathering place but also as a medium for learning and empowerment. In addition, the activity strengthened social interaction, increased community solidarity, and encouraged active participation in utilizing available facilities more productively. Despite several challenges, such as time constraints and differences in participants’ levels of understanding, the activity overall had a positive impact in promoting the optimization of social infrastructure functions. Therefore, the continuation of similar programs is necessary to support sustainable improvements in community quality of life.

This study examines the influence of technology utilization, records management, infrastructure, and training on employee performance at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Batam City. A quantitative approach with an associative design was employed to identify relationships between variables and measure their effects. The study involved 89 employees as respondents using a saturated sampling method to ensure all members of the population were included. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression along with F-test and t-test to assess both simultaneous and partial effects. The findings reveal that all independent variables simultaneously have a significant impact on employee performance, while individually technology, records management, infrastructure, and training also demonstrate significant positive effects. These results indicate that the effective use of digital systems, well-organized archival practices, adequate and supportive facilities, and continuous training programs play a crucial role in enhancing employee performance and productivity, as well as improving efficiency, accuracy, and overall organizational effectiveness. The study suggests that organizations should strengthen technological implementation, improve document management systems, provide sufficient work facilities, and conduct sustainable training programs to achieve optimal and long-term organizational outcomes.

Inflation and post-COVID-19 economic uncertainty have placed significant financial pressure on low-income workers, including boarding house employees. This study aims to analyze the effects of financial literacy, financial attitude, and economic pressure on personal financial management behavior and financial resilience among boarding house employees in Semarang Regency. A mixed-methods sequential explanatory approach was employed, with the quantitative phase (n=150) analyzed using PLS-SEM, followed by a qualitative phase (n=15) using thematic analysis. Results indicate that financial literacy (β=0.312; p<0.01) and financial attitude (β=0.387; p<0.01) have significant positive effects, while economic pressure has a negative effect (β=-0.256; p<0.01) on financial management behavior. The model explains 52.4% of the variance in financial management behavior. Financial management behavior significantly mediates the relationship between financial literacy and financial resilience. The qualitative phase identified five adaptive strategies: strict budgeting, income diversification, strategic saving, social network utilization, and financial technology adoption. This study contributes to the literature by exploring an understudied population and integrating the economic pressure perspective into financial behavior models.

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding of local business actors in Kanekes Village (Baduy Luar) regarding the implementation of a sales information system to support the management and marketing of traditional handicraft products. The main problems faced by partners include unstructured transaction recording, low utilization of sales data, and business management that is still based on memory. The implementation method uses a participatory approach through socialization, training, hands-on practice, and mentoring, with data collection techniques carried out through interviews and field observations. The activity was conducted on April 17, 2026, involving MSME handicraft actors as the main partners. The results show an increase in business actors’ understanding of the importance of sales recording systems as a basis for business management. Participants began to be able to record transactions in a more structured and simple manner and utilize sales data to monitor business performance and identify the most in-demand products. In addition, there was a shift in business management patterns from memory-based to simple data-based systems. This activity also encouraged improvements in digital literacy through the introduction of social media utilization and digital marketing strategies. Overall, this program contributes to strengthening the capacity of business actors and supporting the more effective and sustainable development of traditional product marketing. This study aims to analyze the role of brand equity in enhancing the competitiveness of batik sandal products at “Dinara Wooden Heel.” The research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method to gain an in-depth understanding of how the elements of brand equity namely brand awareness, perceived quality, brand association, and brand loyalty are developed and utilized by the business actors. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the business owner and consumers, direct observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique was conducted descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that brand equity plays a significant role in improving the competitiveness of Dinara Wooden Heel. The dimensions of perceived quality and brand association serve as the primary strengths in creating competitive advantage through consistent product quality and culture-based differentiation. Meanwhile, brand awareness declined due to distribution limitations during the pandemic, but has gradually recovered through the utilization of social media. On the other hand, brand loyalty has been established through repeat purchases, although its management remains relatively informal.
