The community service activity conducted in Dusun Wates, focusing on the empowerment of Ibu Siti’s UMKM (Small and Medium Enterprises) producing Banana and Gadung Chips, has shown significant results in improving entrepreneurial capacity and social transformation within Ibu Siti’s family. This research aims to explore the outcomes of the community service program, linking the findings to theories of entrepreneurship, community empowerment, and social change. The activities involved managerial assistance, product rebranding, and online marketing, which led to better management practices, an improved product identity, and increased market reach. The application of digital marketing proved effective in expanding market access for local products, contributing to the economic growth of the family. This study also highlights the importance of family-based entrepreneurship in achieving sustainable social and economic change. The results are aligned with the findings of previous studies, such as those by Wahyuni (2022) and Raharjo (2021), and suggest that the integration of technology and local leadership can significantly drive social transformation at the community level.

Bumi: Jurnal Hasil Kegiatan Sosialisasi Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat 2026 Asosiasi Riset Teknik Elektro dan Informatika Indonesia

This community service activity aims to describe the process and impact of the UMKM-Based Sepak Takraw Tournament for all of West Sumatra (Piala Limkos Sedunia) held in Nagari Sikucur, V Koto Kampung Dalam District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, as part of the Regular KKN Program of Universitas Negeri Padang for the January–February 2026 period. The method used is participatory action research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Activities were carried out for 30 days (January 9–February 8, 2026), involving 32 teams from 19 districts/cities across West Sumatra and hundreds of local UMKM actors. KKN students served as media partners, live streaming hosts on social media, and documentation committees. Results indicate that the tournament successfully stimulated the local economy with significant financial turnover through a 14-day UMKM bazaar, increased promotion of traditional sepak takraw sports, and strengthened social cohesion among nagari residents. The activity also contributed as an athlete development platform ahead of the West Sumatra Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV) 2028. The integration of sport events with UMKM empowerment has proven to be an effective strategy for improving rural community welfare.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in promoting economic growth and improving community welfare, particularly at the regional level. In Nagekeo Regency, the ikat weaving craft sector represents an important local economic potential that also carries significant cultural value. However, weaving entrepreneurs still face several challenges, including limited business capital, restricted market access, and low utilization of digital technology for product marketing. This study aims to analyze the role of the Department of Cooperatives, Industry, and Trade of Nagekeo Regency in empowering MSME actors, particularly ikat weaving groups. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The study involved 18 informants consisting of local government officials, MSME actors, and institutional partners selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the department performs facilitative, educative, and technical roles in empowering weaving groups through production training, digital marketing assistance, provision of business facilities, and technical guidance on product innovation. These programs contribute to improving weavers’ skills, product quality, and market opportunities, although their implementation still faces limitations related to budget constraints and uneven program coverage.

Transformasi digital menuntut pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) untuk memiliki kesiapan pemasaran digital agar mampu bersaing di pasar yang semakin kompetitif. Namun, kesiapan tersebut pada UMKM binaan Kelurahan Bangetayu Wetan masih bervariasi terutama pada aspek literasi digital, pemanfaatan infrastruktur, strategi pemasaran, sikap dan motivasi digital, serta dukungan kelembagaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kesiapan pemasaran digital dengan daya saing usaha lokal UMKM binaan Kelurahan Bangetayu Wetan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner kepada seluruh anggota UMKM binaan kelurahan sebanyak 34 responden menggunakan teknik total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman untuk menguji hubungan antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa infrastruktur digital, strategi pemasaran digital, sikap dan motivasi digital, serta dukungan kelembagaan memiliki hubungan positif dengan daya saing usaha lokal UMKM, sedangkan literasi digital pemasaran tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan. Dukungan kelembagaan melalui pelatihan, pendampingan, dan fasilitasi pemasaran digital terbukti memperkuat kapasitas pelaku usaha dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk promosi dan perluasan pasar. Kesiapan pemasaran digital yang lebih baik berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan visibilitas produk, akses pasar, dan keberlanjutan usaha lokal. Disimpulkan bahwa kesiapan pemasaran digital merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan daya saing usaha lokal UMKM binaan Kelurahan Bangetayu Wetan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan program pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis digital melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan, peningkatan infrastruktur digital, serta pendampingan kelembagaan yang terintegrasi di tingkat kelurahan

Economic empowerment of rural communities through the strengthening of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is a crucial pillar in achieving national economic independence. One of the fundamental obstacles faced by MSMEs in rural areas is financial exclusion due to low digital literacy and dependence on conventional cash transaction systems. The Community Service Program (KKN) of students from the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UIN SU) in Pematang Tengah Village was designed to bridge this gap by optimizing the Indonesian Standard Quick Response Code (QRIS). Through an intensive participatory mentoring approach, students acted as agents of digital transformation who educated, trained, and facilitated 10 local MSME actors in adopting non-cash payment technology. The results of the program show a significant shift from digital skepticism to digital trust. The implementation of QRIS has been proven to increase operational efficiency, financial management accuracy, and strengthen the image of business modernity in the eyes of consumers. This article emphasizes that the role of students is not merely as information deliverers, but as catalysts of social capital that is crucial for the sustainability of digitalization at the village level.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a fundamental pillar of the Indonesian economy, but their potential is often hampered by the digital divide, especially in rural areas. The Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) initiative is a way for the government to encourage digital transformation and make payments more accessible to everyone. This article aims to document and analyse the process and impact of a community service programme that facilitated the adoption of QRIS among 10 MSMEs in Pematang Tengah Village, Tanjung Pura Sub-district. This activity used the Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR) method, which emphasises active collaboration between the service team and MSME partners. The process included participatory planning, collaborative action in the form of intensive training and mentoring, and joint evaluation. The results showed that all 10 MSME partners successfully adopted and used QRIS for daily transactions. The significant benefits included increased transaction efficiency, improved financial record-keeping, and a more modern business image. The main challenges identified were initial doubts about the technology and unstable internet connectivity, which were successfully mitigated through personalised mentoring based on trust. It was concluded that the CBPAR (Community-Based Participatory Action Research) method is a highly effective framework for implementing technological innovation in rural MSME communities because it not only addresses technical skill gaps but also builds crucial social capital such as trust and digital confidence.

Training programs are an effective strategy for empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in rural areas. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of training in producing Sunlight dishwashing liquid as an effort to empower MSMEs in Jandi Meriah Village. It also examines the impact of the training on improving community skills, expanding business development opportunities, and contributing to the village’s economic growth. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the training significantly enhances participants’ technical knowledge and skills in producing dishwashing liquid, including understanding raw materials, formulation processes, and product packaging techniques. Additionally, the training fosters entrepreneurial motivation, strengthens basic managerial abilities, and opens opportunities for forming small business groups based on home industry activities. The socio-economic impacts include increased household income potential, strengthened community collaboration, and the emergence of new MSME initiatives. This study concludes that training in producing Sunlight dishwashing liquid is an effective empowerment instrument to enhance community capacity and strengthen the village economy, making it a sustainable program model for other rural areas.

The empowerment program for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Takaras Village, Manuhing Subdistrict, Gunung Mas Regency, was carried out to address the problem of low business visibility due to limited promotional media and minimal use of digital technology. Most MSMEs still relied on traditional word-of-mouth promotion, which restricted market reach and reduced competitiveness. To overcome this, the KKN Reguler I Team Group 55 of the University of Palangka Raya implemented activities consisting of informational banner installation and business location registration on Google Maps. The methods included field surveys, banner design planning using simple digital tools, direct assistance in location registration, and banner installation at business sites. The program involved 26 MSMEs, of which 18 received banner support. The installation of banners provided a clearer visual identity for each business, while the use of Google Maps significantly improved consumer accessibility to business locations and services. The results showed that the combination of offline (banners) and online (Google Maps) promotion was effective in increasing product visibility, attracting more customers, and strengthening consumer trust. This initiative also encouraged MSMEs to adopt digital technology in their marketing strategies. Overall, the program made a tangible contribution to the digital transformation of local MSMEs and laid the foundation for sustainable community economic competitiveness

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the zakat program in empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants consist of MSMEs who receive productive zakat and zakat managers. The results of the study indicate that the productive zakat program has a positive impact on MSME empowerment, especially in increasing business capital, business sustainability, and income stability of mustahik. In addition, the zakat program also encourages increased skills and motivation of MSMEs in managing their businesses. However, the effectiveness of the program still faces various obstacles, such as limited zakat funds, suboptimal business mentoring, and limited managerial capabilities and market access of MSMEs. The conclusion of this study shows that the productive zakat program in Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency is quite effective in empowering MSMEs, but requires strengthening in terms of mentoring, program management, and business capacity development so that its impact is more optimal and sustainable.

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata / KKN) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT) in Sukadiri Village, Tangerang Regency, was implemented with the aim of empowering the community through strengthening tourism-based MSMEs and raising environmental awareness. This program employed a participatory qualitative descriptive approach, in which students acted as facilitators in assisting the community. The main focus included sustainable tourism literacy, MSME digitalization, waste segregation management, and community literacy improvement. Key activities carried out consisted of designing logos and digital branding for MSMEs, conducting ecoprinting training utilizing local flora, delivering legal counseling on bullying within the scope of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE), creating educational boards and segregated waste bins, establishing a reading corner, and supporting food security through corn planting. The results indicated increased community awareness of environmental management, improved skills of MSME actors in utilizing digital technology, and the growth of literacy culture among children and youth. In addition to providing tangible benefits for the community, this program also enriched students’ experiences in applying their academic knowledge directly in the field. Therefore, the KKN in Sukadiri Village not only contributed to sustainable village development but also served as a best practice model that could be replicated in other regions.

This research seeks to examine the policy of strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) via the Pejuang Muda initiative to boost local economic competitiveness in Surabaya City. The initiative showcases a partnership between local governments, universities, and communities, emphasizing capacity enhancement through mentoring, training, and digitalization of businesses. This study utilized a qualitative approach through a case study method. Data were gathered via thorough interviews with representatives from the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Pejuang Muda participants, and supported business owners. The results indicate that the program notably enhanced managerial capabilities, product innovation, and market accessibility for MSMEs. Additionally, collaboration across sectors has enhanced the program’s sustainability and fostered a responsive local economic ecosystem to adjust to global market shifts. Nonetheless, obstacles persist in consistent policy and sustainable funding strategies. In general, the Pejuang Muda initiative exemplifies empowerment by merging social, educational, and economic principles within a local development framework centered on self-sufficiency and youth engagement. The research suggests implementing the program in additional areas with improved inter-agency collaboration, supportive policy measures, and fortified digital infrastructure to guarantee the ongoing sustainability of local economic development.

This study aims to describe the community empowerment strategy implemented by Lazis Nurul Falah in supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ketintang, Surabaya. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data were collected directly during the distribution of business capital assistance and mentoring of beneficiaries. The results show that the empowerment program focused on improving economic independence through financial aid, business equipment, and moral support from volunteers. Although conducted modestly, the program had a significant impact on beneficiaries’ confidence and motivation to continue their businesses. It also strengthened social and Islamic values such as ta‘āwun (mutual help) and built harmonious relations between the institution, volunteers, and the community. The study concludes that empowerment based on collaboration and social proximity can create positive change and serve as an effective model to promote community economic independence.

The community service program in Purworejo Village, Sragi District, Pekalongan Regency, was implemented to enhance the capacity of local MSME actors in utilizing digital technology as a modern marketing tool. The program adopted a participatory approach involving youth organizations, business actors, village authorities, and the implementation team in every stage of the activity. Assistance included field observation, data collection, content development training, and the creation of a dedicated MSME website as a shared promotional platform. The results indicate significant social changes within the community, including improved digital literacy, stronger awareness of the importance of technology-based marketing, the emergence of local youth as digital facilitators, and the development of collaborative working patterns in managing digital media. These findings reinforce that participatory-based mentoring can strengthen community capacity in adopting technology, consistent with theoretical perspectives that position the community as key agents of local development. Therefore, the program not only produced a functional digital product in the form of an MSME website but also laid the foundation for a more adaptive, competitive, and sustainable village economic ecosystem..

Program pengabdian ini menjawab kesenjangan kapasitas UMKM di Desa Plelen sebagai desa penyangga Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB), khususnya pada aspek kualitas produk, keterampilan manajerial, dan kelembagaan ekonomi masyarakat. Tujuan utama kegiatan adalah meningkatkan kesiapan UMKM dalam memanfaatkan peluang ekonomi industri melalui: (1) peningkatan kualitas produk dan kemasan; (2) pelatihan manajemen usaha dan penyusunan business plan; serta (3) fasilitasi pembentukan Koperasi Merah Putih sebagai wadah ekonomi kolektif. Pendekatan Pembelajaran Berbasis Partisipatif diterapkan untuk memastikan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam seluruh tahapan program. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada diversifikasi produk, standar higienitas produksi, literasi bisnis, serta terbentuknya koperasi yang berfungsi mendukung pemasaran dan keberlanjutan usaha. Dengan demikian, model pemberdayaan terintegrasi yang menguatkan aspek teknis, manajerial, dan kelembagaan terbukti efektif dalam mempersiapkan desa penyangga menuju transformasi sosial-ekonomi yang inklusif dan adaptif terhadap industrialisasi.

The program “Youth Empowerment in Developing UMKM Assets through a Basic Business Management Workshop in Balung Lor Village” aims to address the low involvement of youth in the village’s micro-business sector, which is currently dominated by elderly entrepreneurs. This community service initiative applies the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach using observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and community asset mapping. The theoretical framework of asset-based empowerment positions youth as a crucial human asset for economic regeneration. The discussion highlights entrepreneurial mindset building, basic business literacy, digital marketing skills, and youth creativity in generating new economic initiatives. The results show significant improvement in youth understanding of production costing, capital management, business planning, and social media-based promotion. In conclusion, the ABCD approach effectively enhances youth participation in local economic development, strengthens UMKM sustainability, and lays a solid foundation for creating a future generation of adaptive and innovative village entrepreneurs.

This community service activity was carried out by the Real Work Lecture (KKN) team of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) with the aim of developing ecoprint products as an environmentally friendly innovation as well as a means of empowering creative MSMEs in the environment of SD 040479 Perteguhen, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency. This program was motivated by the low level of public awareness of the importance of sustainable natural resource management and the limited skills in utilizing the potential of the environment to create products with economic value. This activity is also expected to provide an educational experience for elementary school students in learning about environmentally friendly concepts and creative entrepreneurship from an early age. The activity was held on August 9, 2025, involving participants from among students, teachers, and the community around the school. The implementation method included four stages, namely (1) socialization and environmental education on the basic principles of ecoprint, (2) technical training in ecoprint making, (3) hands-on practice using natural materials, and (4) evaluation and reflection on the results of the work. The technique used was the method of soaking tote bags in hot water at a temperature of 80–90°C using natural materials such as teak leaves, guava leaves, cassava leaves, and hibiscus flowers available around the school. The results of the activity showed that the hot water soaking technique produced soft natural motifs, harmonious color gradations, and leaf patterns

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs represent a form of social and environmental accountability implemented by companies as a contribution to sustainable development. In the context of PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Barru, CSR implementation is realized through community-based economic empowerment initiatives focusing on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly the Cahaya Bulam Bakery MSME. This study aims to assess the level of community satisfaction with the quality of CSR program implementation using the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) approach as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Permenpan RB) No. 14 of 2017. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving all program beneficiaries. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a four-point Likert scale covering 20 assessment indicators, including program relevance, community participation, communication, innovation, and sustainability. The findings reveal that the CSR program of Cahaya Bulam Bakery achieved an IKM score categorized as “Excellent,” with a conversion value of 94.13. This indicates that the program has been effectively implemented in enhancing beneficiary capacity, generating economic impact, and strengthening synergy between the company and the local community. Nevertheless, there remains room for improvement, particularly in ensuring fairness and enhancing the program’s relevance to community needs.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a very important and strategic role in supporting the overall economic structure, with a contribution of 61.97% to the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, MSMEs, especially in rural areas, still face fundamental challenges, such as a lack of understanding and implementation of modern marketing and digital technologies. This service focuses on strategic efforts to empower Rengginang Ibu Saliem MSMEs in Dolok Kahean Village through a digital transformation program. The method used is descriptive qualitative Action Research, designed for direct program implementation and evaluation. The results of the pre-intervention showed that there was a severe digital gap in Rengginang products, although they had a tested taste, but still relied on traditional marketing models. Strategic intervention is carried out through two main pillars, namely, branding optimization by creating the trademark "Rengginang Huta" and a professional logo. Then the implementation of digital marketing through the construction of a virtual storefront on @rengginanghuta_ibusaliem's Instagram account. This program has succeeded in transforming these MSMEs into entities that are ready to compete in the digital ecosystem, in line with the statement that digitalization is the main imperative for MSMEs to survive. However, the evaluation stage identifies the issue of sustainability and digital independence as the next challenge. Long-term success requires more intensive post-program mentoring, focusing on digital operational management, to ensure independence and achieve real impact on improvement in Dolok Kahean Village.

This community service initiative was designed to empower housewives in Dusun III, Desa Pematang Sijonam, by introducing ecoprint as a sustainable craft and a potential driver of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The activity was motivated by the limited access to alternative livelihoods in rural communities and the increasing relevance of environmentally conscious products in contemporary markets. The program adopted a descriptive qualitative design, emphasizing participatory involvement through workshops and direct practice. Participants were guided to identify tannin-rich leaves from their local environment, arrange them on pre-mordanted cotton tote bags, and apply steaming processes to transfer pigments. The outcomes revealed that participants not only acquired technical competence but also demonstrated heightened creativity and confidence, producing distinctive motifs that carried cultural and ecological values. More importantly, the training raised awareness of the economic potential of natural resources that had previously been overlooked. This research aims to analyze the governance forms implemented by the village government in the breakfast culinary tourism program to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Punden Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. It explores the application of good governance principles in local economic development based on culinary tourism. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study collected data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from village officials, MSME actors, and tourists. The study is guided by Sedarmayanti's principles of good governance, particularly participation and accountability, linked to MSME empowerment. The results reveal that the breakfast culinary tourism management has not been optimal. Accountability is weak, as the village government has not registered or mentored MSMEs in the tourism sector to obtain a Business Identification Number (NIB) from the local Cooperative and MSME Office. Additionally, there is a lack of reporting on tax deductions and minimal support for business capital and training, causing many MSMEs to cease operations. From a participatory perspective, the village government has not actively involved community institutions like Pokdarwis, PKK, and Karang Taruna in planning and implementing activities, resulting in weak social support for MSMEs. Overall, the management of breakfast culinary tourism in Punden Rejo Village has not optimally empowered MSMEs due to weak implementation of accountability and participation principles. The success of sustainable tourism depends on cooperation between the village government, MSMEs, and local institutions to build a participatory and accountable tourism management system.
