To improve the competitiveness and well-being of local communities, the growth of community-based village tourism requires the assistance of digital technology. Although Sugihen Village has significant potential for natural and cultural tourism, the use of digital technology in tourism administration and promotion is still minimal. The objective of this community service project is to utilize digital technology to transform community-based tourism in Sugihen Village. The approach used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which included the stages of needs analysis, digital literacy training and capacity building, implementation of digital tourism technology, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. The results of the community service included increased community digital literacy, a stronger position of the Pokdarwis institution in tourism management, and a shift in community perspectives on the use of digital technology as a consequence of the community service activities. Panglipuran Traditional Village in Bali has gained international recognition as one of the cleanest tourist villages in the world and serves as a model for culture-based sustainable tourism. The economic foundation of the village relies heavily on the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) rooted in local wisdom, which simultaneously function as drivers of economic growth and instruments of cultural preservation. This study seeks to examine the management practices, marketing strategies, and challenges faced by MSMEs in Panglipuran Village. The research applied qualitative methods, including field observation, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, documentation review, and descriptive analysis. The findings reveal a strong synergy between customary values and economic activities, reflected in flagship products such as bamboo handicrafts, traditional cuisine, and signature beverages. Success factors include an effective organizational structure, the support of customary institutions, and the ability to adopt adaptive marketing approaches. Nonetheless, several challenges were identified, including limited utilization of digital marketing platforms, constraints in production capacity, and insufficient product innovation to meet the demands of broader markets. Recommendations highlight the importance of strengthening online marketing, diversifying product variations, and expanding cooperative networks both within and beyond the village. Overall, the study underscores the significant potential of culture-based MSMEs to enhance community welfare, increase competitiveness, and ensure the sustainability of local traditions within the dynamics of modern tourism.

This study identifies the role of shamans in local wisdom-based wellness tourism in Belumbang Tourism Village, Kerambitan Sub-district, Tabanan Regency. Shamans as traditional spiritual figures play an important role in wellness practices that combine physical healing, spiritual rituals and local ecological understanding. Using observation and interview methods, this research was analyzed based on the six dimensions of wellness in the Extended Wellness Model (Mueller & Kaufmann, 2001), and supported by data from the Global Wellness Institute (Yeung & Johnston, 2018) and the authors' perceptions of shamans. The results show that shaman practices support all dimensions of wellness, especially the spiritual, physical and environmental aspects. Travelers gain benefits such as traditional massages, herbal concoctions, and inner peace through rituals that touch on emotional and mental aspects. Shamans also play a role in educating tourists about the harmony of humans and nature through the responsible use of resources. Thus, shamans not only function as healers, but also as guardians of local culture and tourist attractions that strengthen village identity and support sustainable health and culture-based tourism.

The development of tourist villages in Indonesia is increasing with government support and a shift in tourist interest towards educational and sustainable tourism. Sidomulyo Tourism Village, one of the tourist destinations in Jember Regency, has shown the potential for developing community-based tourism (CBT). However, the management of this village is still under the auspices of the village government, which could lead to continued dependency in the future. Community involvement is still limited because the village government decides the entire planning and management process. Through educational training, this community service program aims to strengthen CBT practices in the Sidomulyo Tourism Village. The process of transferring knowledge and experience is carried out by a manager of one of the independent tourist villages in Indonesia. This activity includes training and evaluation sessions. The results show increased participants' understanding of CBT and independent management of tourist villages. This program recommends developing priority attractions and improving digital marketing as initial steps to support sustainable tourism in the village.
