Online lectures have become the wrong option in our digital age. Therefore, in this online lecture procedure, the lecturer was required to be able to produce media and lecture approaches. A favorable learning environment, student participation, lecturer performance during instruction, lecture media, and method are a few of the variables that affect the attainment of lecture skills. This study aims to investigate and characterize the efforts made by lecturers to increase student engagement in online courses. This study used a case study approach to qualitative research as its methodology. The study's findings indicate that there are numerous challenges facing online lectures in the current digital era, including a dearth of engaged students, a lack of infrastructure and resources for lecturers and students, as well as network and Internet issues and data availability quotas. All of the lectures given in online classrooms by professors have an impact. World civilization with very rapid changes in various countries is characterized by the unlimited use of information systems based on computing and big data. Information technology utilizes computers and computer software to convert, store, process, protect, transmit and obtain information securely. Designing an administrative service information system to assist students and final assignment coordinators in the registration process, filing requirements and submitting titles for final assignments and obtaining supervisor assignment letters. Therefore, this problem can be solved by building an information system design for final assignment administration services that will be implemented in the Industrial Engineering Study Program, namely SIMENTARI (Industrial Engineering Final Assignment Management Information System). In this research, the SIMENTARI design method used was waterfall. The waterfall method suggests systematic and sequential software development starting from the highest system level and continuing to the analysis, design, coding, testing and maintenance stages. The existence of a SIMENTARI Information System can make it easier for the Final Assignment Coordinator in the Industrial Engineering Study Program to serve students who will submit their Final Assignments more easily and systematically and the data entered by the user can be stored neatly in the system. In this research, the tools used to create a SIMENTARI information system were Xampp and Php MySQL software.

Teaching materials are one of the important things in teaching and learning activities. To design learning, it is necessary to consider what kind of teaching and learning materials are needed to achieve learning objectives and achieve the required abilities, and for this reason it is necessary to develop teaching materials. In developing teaching materials, we can refer to two things: the context in which education takes place and the form of learning activities that take place. Contextual considerations are made to determine the packaging format for learning materials. For example, whether students bond with each other. Regarding the format of learning activities, teachers need to consider whether traditional teaching, distance learning, or a combination of both. Five factors must be considered when developing learning materials: student characteristics, format of learning activities, context in which training takes place, learning strategies, and tools for assessing learning outcomes.
