Strategic management plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational sustainability and competitiveness of PT Karya Giri Palma, a manufacturing company specializing in springbed and furniture production. In an increasingly competitive market environment and amid ongoing production challenges, the company is required to implement well-structured and adaptive strategic management practices. This study employs a qualitative research approach to explore the implementation of strategic management within the organization and to identify obstacles that arise during its integration into daily operational activities. Data were collected through in-depth observations and interviews to obtain a comprehensive understanding of managerial practices and employee involvement. The findings reveal that the active participation of both management and employees in the formulation and implementation of strategies significantly contributes to improved employee motivation, higher productivity levels, and enhanced work quality. Strategic alignment between organizational goals and employee roles encourages a stronger sense of responsibility and commitment among employees. However, several challenges remain, particularly in cross-divisional coordination and the consistent execution of strategies at the operational level. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening interdepartmental communication, optimizing the use of management information systems, and enhancing human resource capabilities through continuous training. These findings may serve as a valuable reference for similar manufacturing companies seeking to optimize strategic management practices in order to achieve sustainable performance and long-term competitiveness.

Information technology (IT) infrastructure planning plays a strategic role in supporting organizational performance and achieving business objectives. However, many organizations experience misalignment between IT infrastructure planning and organizational needs, leading to inefficiencies, limited system integration, and suboptimal utilization of IT investments (Maulana, 2024; Njanka et al., 2025). This study aims to analyze the suitability of IT infrastructure planning with organizational needs using a quantitative approach. The research framework integrates the Strategic Alignment Model (SAM), Strategic Alignment Maturity Model (SAMM), and COBIT 2019 governance principles. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to IT managers and system users. A total of 85 valid responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics and gap analysis. The results indicate that IT infrastructure planning is moderately aligned with organizational needs, particularly in supporting operational activities. Nevertheless, significant gaps were identified in system integration, scalability, and long-term infrastructure planning. These findings highlight the importance of continuous evaluation and governance-based IT planning to enhance alignment and ensure sustainable organizational performance.

Digital transformation in public service delivery encourages government to implement service innovations that are effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable. This transformations is realized through the adoption of innovations capable of responding to public needs in a timely and accurate manner to improve service quality. The Regional Civil Service Agency of East Java Province developed the Rumah ASN Application as a digital-based personnel service innovation to support the needs of civil servants of the East Java Provincial Government and the general public. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of the Rumah ASN Application as an innovation in personnel services at the Regional Civil Service Agency of East Java Province. This research employs a qualitative descriptive. The analytical framework is based on the public sector process innovation theory proposed by Khodadad-Saryazdi (2022), which consists of seven key success factors: strategic alignment, governance, leadership, culture, information technology and information system, process actors, and performance evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Rumah ASN Application has generally been conducted well, but it has not yet reached optimal. Challenges identified for optimizing this service including the needs for continuous user socialization during system updates, optimization of service features for civil servant capacity building, strengthening administrative capacity and cross-sectoral coordination, and the developing the application into a mobile application version.

This research explores the integration of Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize strategic decision-making in digital service-oriented organizations. These organizations often face challenges such as fragmented decision-making due to disconnected IT systems and limited data-driven insights. The objective of the study is to develop an integrated framework that combines EA and AI to enhance decision-making accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment. The study employs design science research methodology, involving the development of the framework, expert validation, and testing in simulated organizational scenarios. The findings reveal that the integrated framework improves decision-making by providing real-time, data-driven insights, predictive analytics, and better alignment with organizational goals. AI's role in analyzing large datasets and generating actionable insights allows decision-makers to anticipate future trends and make more informed decisions. The framework significantly outperforms traditional EA approaches, particularly in terms of predictive decision support and adaptive intelligence. The study concludes that the integration of EA and AI provides a robust solution for organizations looking to improve strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and stay competitive in dynamic business environments.

Digital transformation (DT) has become a critical component for organizations aiming to enhance their operational efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness. However, many organizations struggle to achieve successful digital transformation due to the misalignment between their Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and organizational strategic goals. This research seeks to design and validate a model for aligning EIS with digital transformation strategies to improve organizational effectiveness. By adopting the Design Science Research (DSR) approach, this study develops a practical model that integrates strategic planning, process management methodologies, and emerging technologies to facilitate alignment between IT and business strategies. The research includes key steps such as requirement analysis, artifact design, expert validation, and case study evaluation to ensure the model's robustness and applicability across different organizational contexts. Findings indicate that the proposed model significantly improves strategic-system alignment, enhances decision-making consistency, and facilitates better integration between business and IT units. The model also addresses common challenges such as resistance to change, skill gaps, and misalignment, fostering a supportive culture for digital transformation. In comparison to existing descriptive frameworks, the proposed model is more structured, adaptable, and actionable, providing organizations with a clear framework to guide their digital transformation efforts. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on EIS alignment and offers practical insights for organizations seeking to achieve successful digital transformation. Future research could explore the model's application in various organizational settings and examine its impact on long-term organizational growth and innovation.
