This research aims to 1) analyze students' problem solving abilities in solving story problems based on polya stages in plane material in the PGMI 3 class at UIN North Sumatra, 2) find out how to improve students' problem solving abilities in solving story problems based on polya stages. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection in this research was carried out by means of written tests, interviews and documentation. Subjects were taken in this research using purposive sampling technique. Interviews were conducted with research subjects and class teachers. The research results obtained were that students with low abilities were quite capable of goingthrough the stages of understanding the problem and preparing a solution plan. Students with moderate abilities are able to go through the stages of understanding the problem, preparing a solution plan, and implementing the solution plan. Meanwhile, students with high abilities are able to go through all stages of Polya problem solving.

This research aims to analyze the content of the short story entitled "Amarah Virus Pada Negeriku" by Ike Loveni Nur Safitri based on the impact of the virus on city conditions from economic, population aspects in the form of migration and transportation. The research approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a content analysis strategy method. This short story tells about the rapid increase in the Covid-19 virus and the policies implemented by the government to suppress its spread. From this, the impact on city conditions emerged, such as the economy in the city being disrupted, transportation within the city not running well, the migration process being disrupted, and the policies implemented apparently helping to reduce problems in the city, especially air pollution.

Numerous efforts have been made to improve English language learning in non-formal institutions. One of them is by developing interesting teaching-learning media. The learning media used in this program is a student final exam product which is assessed in the Intensive Reading Course, where students are asked to read continuously about one short story, then conduct it into literary elements such as characterization, storyline, etc. After this progress, creative visual learning media was created using materials like paper or cardboard equipped with attractive colors. The objectives of this program include several things; firstly, improving the English language skills of children in the Manggrove Leaf Community, secondly, through learning media, it can be integrated into mastering vocabulary and pronunciation, and thirdly, children can retell what they hear in their own words. It is hoped that the method applied will continue to increase children's efforts in creative and enjoyable learning processes in various non-formal institutions. Some things that are considered priority problems that must be resolved include first, increasing English vocabulary, second, pronunciation of English vocabulary, and third, increasing enthusiasm and motivation for learning English. The solution offered is creative and fun English learning through visual learning media.

The background of this research is the novel Selamat Selamat, written by Tere Liye, which is very focused on the course of an interrupted study period. Apart from problems in the world of education, there is the development of talent that has been hidden for a long time and is re-emerging because someone makes the story in the novel even more interesting to read until the end because the story line is very good, and the novel can be linked to intrinsic learning material in high school. The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source is the text of the novel Selamat Selamat by Tere Liye. The form of data is in the form of written data, namely, character quotes from the characters in the novel Selamat Selamat By Tere Liye as an alternative learning material for intrinsic elements in high school. Data collection techniques use documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and the technique for presenting the results of data analysis is carried out descriptively. The results of the analysis of Tere Liye's novel Selamat Selamat, which has been carried out and can be seen, is that the novel Selamat Selamat By Tere Liye has a form that can be analyzed in the form of character traits, conversational relationships between one character and another, story setting, theme and message. Social relationships between characters which contain conversations that occur between one character and another character. In the intrinsic element, there is characterization, there are characters from the characters in the novel Selamat Selamat by Tere Liye. Next there is a theme, namely about education and in the background there is a place, time and socio-cultural setting.

This research is motivated by several problems that the author found at the Bhayangkari Muara Bungo Kindergarten, students often lie, every time they say a word, many children don't want to be honest, and also lie, if asked, many also answer by lying, children don't want to admit their mistakes, because children are afraid of being scolded. and are afraid of being punished by the teacher, therefore children are afraid to be more open or honest. The purpose of this research is to find out how class teachers try to instill honest character education through the method of telling stories to children at the Kemala Bhayangkari Muara Bungo Kindergarten. This research is descriptive qualitative field research (filed research). The research was located at Kemala Bhayangkari Muara Bungo Kindergarten. The key informants were the class teachers and the supporting informants were the study teachers and the school principal. This research technique is snowball sampling, and the data collection techniques for this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that class teachers and field teachers tell stories through the Sikancil & Simonyet fairy tale and the Honesty Cup because fairy tales, one of the intrinsic elements in fairy tales, is that they have a message or moral message. Fairy tales can really be used as social media that can shape a character. children because fairy tales have moral values that children can learn. Telling stories using puppets can improve children's pronunciation because it can attract students' attention so that students are happy and can easily understand what is being told and taught. Telling stories using picture media, students will be able to read the contents of the story by looking at the pictures shown by the teacher, telling stories using picture media, students will be more enthusiastic about listening to stories presented by the teacher, telling stories using picture media will help to clarify messages or events so that children pay more attention to the story being told.

Business is an activity that includes economics carried out individually or in groups with the aim of making a profit. In a business that is created, the entrepreneur will definitely try to create ideas that are new and unique in each business. The aim of this research is to describe business behavior and management implementation in the novel Harga Teman by Debora Danisa. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is listening and data text collection. The listening method is a way to obtain data by listening to the story facts and economic problems that occur in the novel. The materials used to collect data come from novels that have been read. The results of the research explain that the content of the story that occurred is truly relevant in the real world, where building a business requires the implementation of the basics of management and an unyielding behavior. Uncertain economic conditions subtly require entrepreneurs to be able to survive under any conditions. In business, it turns out that these factors are very necessary for smooth business continuity.    

The focus of this paper is the theme of the Mission of Moses to Free the Israelites from Egyptian Slavery Exodus 6:1-12. The salvation of the Israelites is inseparable from the struggle of Moses who was blessed by God. But with God's word to Moses all problems were resolved with an outstretched hand. The purpose of this paper is to discover the location of God's role for the Israelites who were enslaved by Egypt at that time. The methodology used is the exegesis methodology. There are 6 analyzes used, namely analysis of Story, Structure, Syntax, Semantics, Context, and Theological Reflection. The six analyzes have been done on separate sheets and are summarized in this article. The findings obtained from this writing include: First, God's inclusion in Moses, who struggled with a lack of self-confidence. Second, God's inclusion appeared in Moses when Moses freed the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. Third, God always accompanies those who rely on God in their work. Thus Christians are invited to always rely on God in their life journey.  

Problem solving skills are important for students to overcome various problems related to learning and community life. This involves students actively exploring, observing, trying, and investigating using the knowledge and abilities they have. Problem solving is the main focus of developing students' higher order thinking skills in mathematics. This research was conducted by means of observation, interviews, and post-test methods on the 4th grade students of SD Negeri 7 Gondosari. In the results of the discussion, there are 10 data from 31 students which can describe a good level of problem solving. Some students experienced difficulties in implementing the problem and re-examining the results of the solution. Therefore, it is important for students to continue to hone their problem solving abilities using the Polya procedure and to re-check the correctness of the solutions that have been done.

 This study was motivated by the lack of use of digital-based learning media in the learning process, the absence of counseling and guidance on the dangers of drugs in SDN Kalibaru 07 morning, as well as environmental factors around the school, namely Kalibaru Barat village, which is an area prone to drug abuse. To overcome these problems, efforts are needed to develop stop-motion animation video media that aim to produce stop-motion animation videos that are practical and effective. This research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The analysis phase includes an analysis of Learning media development needs and the characteristics of learners. The design phase includes the design of the GBPM and storyboard as a reference in developing stop-motion animation video media. The development phase includes product development and validity tests by experts, namely material experts with an average percentage score of 96.42% in the category "Very Decent", media experts with an average percentage score of 100% in the category "Very Decent", and linguists with an average percentage score of 96.87% in the category "Very Decent". The evaluation phase was conducted by providing a user response questionnaire, namely for teachers with an average score percentage of 95% in the category "Very Good", and learners with an average score percentage of 92.73% in the category "Very Good". The results showed that stop-motion animation videos are very good at instilling anti-drug attitudes in elementary schools.

The purpose of this study was to find out more carefully students' critical thinking skills in solving word problems in terms of self-efficacy. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. . The form of research used in this study is a case study. This research was conducted at Semparuk 1 Public High School, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The research subjects were 33 students in class X IPS I. Then 9 students were taken as subjects for interviews where each subject had high, medium and low self-efficacy. The data in this study are in the form of critical thinking ability test results, self-efficacy questionnaire results, and interview results. In this study, data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model was used. Activities in data analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. From the results of the study it was found that students who have high self-efficacy have been able to solve Trigonometry story problems well and in accordance with the indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability, students who have moderate self-efficacy have been able to solve Trigonometry story questions poorly and have not fulfilled the four indicators of thinking ability mathematically critical, and students who have low self-efficacy are only able to say what is asked in the questions correctly, while other indicators of mathematical critical thinking skills are not resolved correctly..      

This study aims to describe students' mathematical problem solving skills in solving word problems.  The population in this study were all fourth grade students at SD 4 Dersalam with a total sample of 24 students.  The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods.  The research instrument used was in the form of test questions (essays) and interview for mathematical problem-solving abilities in diagrammatic material.  The data collection technique in this study has three stages of procedure namely;  1) preparation stage, 2) implementation stage, 3) final stage.  Based on the results of the tests that have been given, the ability to solve mathematical problems in the good category is 14 students (58.3%), the medium category is 4 students (16.6%) and the low category is 6 students (25%).  Based on the categories of mathematical problem solving abilities, namely good, sufficient and insufficient, it can be described as follows: 1. Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in the Good Category 2. Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in the Enough Category 3. Students' Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in the Poor Category.

Abstract This paper discusses the image of women in Air Djenar Maesa Ayu's short story. This short story has a background in social life that occurs in society. This short story raises the main topic of women's struggles in living their lives after being abandoned by men. Social injustice like this creates various impacts such as subordination. This research uses descriptive analysis method. This study began with data collection using the mode of listening and reading short stories as a whole and then continued with data analysis using feminist study theory. This study shows that the short story Air by Djenar Maesa Ayu is included in liberal feminism. The results and discussion of this research are compiled based on issues related to women and the perspective of the reality of the text in short stories. The results of this short story analysis are divided into 3 concepts, namely: the image of women from the physical aspect, the image of women from the psychological aspect, the image of women from the social aspect. The story of the problems experienced in this short story is told through the character Saya. Based on the data and results of the analysis, the researcher describes the image of women in Djenar Maesa Ayu's short story Air through the social conflicts she experiences. Researchers add moral and social values ​​in this study. Researchers teach readers to respect each other as human beings through research on the short story Air by Djenar Maesa Ayu. . Fraction is one of the materials in mathematics subject in class VII odd semester, which students must master well. Because this material continues from elementary school. Fraction is related to every day, and many problems use the concept of fractions. The research aims to describe the errors according to Newman's procedure, which students carry out to solve the issues. The methods used in data collection were tests and interviews. The written examination was given to class VII 15 students as the subject. The test questions consist of 4 item description questions, then from the results of the written test of 5 students who made mistakes according to the Newman procedure. The results of research that have been carried out on students according to Newman's approach in solving fractions questions as indicated by the results of their daily tests, the most frequent error is the process skill error and encoding error with a percentage of 58,33%, the transformation error is 51,66%, comprehension error 41,66% and the last percentage of reading error 25 %. The causes of student errors include being unable to read correctly, not understanding fractions, and being unable to determine the formula or steps to use, such as making mistakes in the calculation process and writing wrong information or answers.

The general research objective is to obtain an overview of social problems in a film and their implications for learning in high school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, in which the researcher records carefully and accurately the data in the form of words, sentences, pictures, and videos contained in the film. The use of a descriptive qualitative approach in this study aims to describe social problems such as social problems of biological factors, economic factors, psychological factors, and cultural factors in The Flu film. Researchers found 51 social problems in the film The Flu and have described their implications for drama learning in high school. The most common social problems found are social problems of biological factors consisting of 21 data, social problems of psychological factors consisting of 20 data, social problems of economic factors consisting of 5 data and social problems of cultural factors consisting of 5 data. The Flu film provides many descriptions of social problems that can be used as knowledge for students at school. Therefore, in learning drama, this film can be used as an alternative teaching material, especially in discussions about examining storylines, act by act, and conflicts in drama texts in the form of scripts or stages and presenting plays in the form of stages or scripts.

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators who are members of opportunities for students to develop their potential so that all their potential can develop to the fullest. Through learning, students will acquire knowledge, skills, and character attitudes. The problem is that writing skills are much more difficult and more complicated than other linguistic aspects, namely listening skills, speaking skills, and reading skills. Another obstacle encountered in learning to write short stories comes from students. Students do not like short story writing lessons. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. Data was collected through document study/literature study and interviews. This study aims to overcome how students experience problems writing short story texts in the learning process. The results and discussion of the research are the Study Case Problems of Learning Short Story Writing in Lhokman, South Aceh by discussing several aspects such as obstacles when teaching both from teacher students and learning, learning solutions and strategies, evaluation in learning, student characteristics, and teacher efforts to overcome differences in learning.

Aritmetika sosial merupakan salah satu materi pada  mata pelajaran matematika di kelas VII semester genap yang harus dikuasai dengan baik oleh siswa. Materi ini menyangkut kehidupan sosial, terutama penggunaan mata uang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan-kesalahan yang di lakukan oleh siswa menurut teori Newman dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita aritmetika sosial. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data terdiri dari tes tertulis dan wawancara. Tes tertulis diberikan kepada 27 orang siswa dari kelas IXC, terdiri dari 5 butir soal uraian, setelah itu dari hasil tes tertulis diambil 5 siswa yang diperkirakan membuat kesalahan-kesalahan menurut Newman untuk menjadi subjek wawancara, setelah proses wawancara didapatkan bahwa 5 siswa tersebut membuat 5 kesalahan menurut teori newman yaitu kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahami, kesalahan transformasi, Kesalahan Ketrampilan Proses. Kesalahan Penulisan Jawaban Akhir. Dan dianalisis juga jawaban dari 27 orang siswa dari kelas IXC di SMP N 2 Langowan dengan menggunakan teori newman dan mendapatkan hasil yaitu sering terjadi adalah kesalahan penentuan jawaban akhir dengan persentase sebesar 55,93%, kesalahan keterampilan proses 53,38%, kesalahan transformasi sebesar 49,15%, kesalahan memahami 33,05%, kemudian kesalahan membaca 32,20%.

Analysis of narrative structure as an intermediary in understanding stories as well as conveying messages and meanings through moral values, religious teachings and educative culture. The problem being studied is whether the script writer is able to reflect the elements of nature in the film series Avatar The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender in the characters. Natural elements which include water, earth, fire, air in the Avatar series The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, are the basis for the formation of the character's characters, these elements have a close relationship with natural elements that exist in Javanese human life and the embodiment of energy in human life. Java. The purpose of this study is to make it easy for readers to understand the symbolic character and understand the narrative structure, by using qualitative methods and as a theoretical basis that is considered appropriate to discuss it, understanding the narrative and natural elements reflected in the character of the characters is used a narrative structure approach, this approach its orientation is to study the systematic stages of script writing to get the essence of a story. In the narrative structure there are substances that relate to each other to form a series of stories including: 1. The structure of the first three acts contains set-up or introduction, the second act contains turning points and the third act describes the resolution or resolution. The interesting thing about this series is the discovery of story problems and conflicts that usually occur in the adult category but are translated into teenage figures and then packaged in a narrative structure that is easy for the audience to understand.

The goal of this study is to describe the focus of the research that consists of the characters in the film “The Pursuit of Happyness “by Gabriella Muccino. The data were taken based on the quotations that focus on the characters found in the film script and time sequence “The Story of My Life”. The research is analyzed by using the qualitative approach. The kind of characters is based on eight instruments, they are major, minor, protagonist, antagonist, flat, round, static, and dynamic. This study is conducted based on literature reviews by observing documents from the film. The film consists of 1 hour 57 minutes duration and 103 pages of the original script. The findings that are found based on the observation from this film were significant. The character instruments consist of Minor by 30% % at the highest position, then Protagonist by 20 %, static by 10 %, antagonist by 10 %, Dynamic by 10 %, Round by 10 %, and Major by 7 %. and flat by 3%. The conclusions showed that the character that emerged as the minor character that consists in this film makes this film more interesting. After analyzing this film, the writer concluded that this element emerged from the major character’s hard work and self-empowerment strength that builds the personal competence involving personal journey and process of understanding as the effect of many problems in his life.
