The rapid advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) has spurred the development of intelligent home systems that optimize energy use and enhance user convenience. One essential component of a smart home environment is an adaptive lighting system that can operate based on environmental conditions. This study aims to design and implement a microcontroller-based automatic lighting system that responds to variations in ambient light intensity and supports further integration with IoT-based monitoring. The system is built using an Arduino Atmega328P microcontroller, a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor for illumination detection, and a relay module to control the electrical load. This research employs an experimental design that includes system analysis, hardware assembly, software development, and performance testing. The LDR sensor was tested under bright and dark conditions, producing consistent readings, with an average threshold of 450–500 analog units for light and below 300 units for dark. The system successfully activated the lamp in 100% of dark-condition trials (n=10) and turned it off correctly in all bright-condition trials (n=10). Response time measurements showed that the system processed changes in light intensity in less than 1 second, ensuring real-time adaptability. The findings demonstrate that the proposed design operates reliably, optimizes electricity usage, and reduces the need for manual intervention. This study contributes to the development of affordable, energy-efficient, innovative lighting systems. It provides a practical foundation for future work, including full IoT integration with wireless modules for remote control and monitoring.

This study aims to analyze the influence of hard skills and soft skills on job readiness through self-efficacy as a mediating variable in students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Yogyakarta State University. The background of the study is rooted in the increasing demands of the job market, which emphasize not only technical competence but also interpersonal skills and individual confidence in their own capabilities. As the world of work becomes increasingly competitive, the ability to balance technical skills with psychological readiness becomes a crucial factor. This study employed a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis and path analysis. A total of 229 respondents were selected using a two-stage random sampling method to ensure adequate representation. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS to test the validity, reliability, and fit of the structural model. The results revealed that hard skills had a significant but negative effect on job readiness, while soft skills showed a positive but statistically insignificant effect. Both hard and soft skills were shown to have a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, with self-efficacy having a significant effect on job readiness. Further findings indicate that self-efficacy mediates the relationship between hard skills and job readiness, but not the relationship between soft skills and job readiness. Overall, this research emphasizes the importance of integrating hard skills, soft skills, and self-efficacy in building student job readiness. The implication is that universities need to design curricula and student development programs that not only strengthen technical competencies but also foster interpersonal skills and self-confidence so that graduates can compete in a dynamic job market.

The tool that detects human movement has been designed with a passive infrared sensor based on Arduino ESP32 which can send messages via SMS to the ship's security system. This is the background to the need to improve the security system on ships. The aim of this research is to find out the movement in the ship's engine room. This system can find movements. This tool can detect a maximum distance of 6 m. This system consists of software and hardware that allows sensors to detect human actions. The software uses the C+ language program and is used on the Arduino ESP32. Press the switch to activate this device. A message will be sent to the owner's smartphone if there is movement. Methods and tool system design for applied scientific work that will be carried out using prototype research methods. Prototype research methods are used to produce certain products, and test their effectiveness. The results of the research in this applied scientific work are the level of accuracy of the PIR sensor which detects human movement at a maximum distance of 6 meters and sim800L as a message sender to Android. Beyond that the data is unreadable and invalid.

In the current era of information technology development, product competition in the smartphone manufacturer market is increasingly rapid. Humans are also very dependent on technology, including smartphones. So manufacturers are working hard to meet these needs by producing various smartphones, one of which is the Apple iPhone. This research aims to determine the influence of brand image and lifestyle on iPhone repurchase decisions with consumer satisfaction as a moderating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with the iPhone consumer population in Mojokerto. The sample was 200 respondents with a questionnaire as data collection and analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) 4.0. The results of the research show that brand image positively and significantly influences repurchase decisions, lifestyle positively and significantly influences repurchase decisions, consumer satisfaction and repurchase decisions have a significant and positive influence, consumer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect in moderating brand image on decisions repeat purchases, consumer satisfaction has a positive and significant influence in moderating lifestyle and repurchase decisions.

The Marine Department is a Diploma IV study program - Land Aspect Marine Defense Management. This Study Program has the mission of providing education for Marine Corps cadets to become Marine Corps Officers who are able to carry out their duties as Marine Infantry Platoon Commanders who are professional, have a fighting spirit, are disciplined, proud, work hard and work smart and have high physical fitness. In the Marine Department Study Program, basic subjects are taught and trained. In an operation, moving and sending combat troops and equipment to a target area is something that is absolutely necessary. One way to move troops and equipment is by parachuting them in by airplane (static parachuting). The implementation of this static plunge contains quite high risks and dangers. So it is necessary to carry out basic training to prepare Marine soldiers to be ready to face all fields of assignment. The implementation of this static plunge contains quite high risks and dangers. Para Basic is a training that must be followed and mastered by Marine Corps AAL level III cadets. This study aims to analyze the learning orientation on the performance of salespeople through smart work, and hard work owned by salespeople. High sales force performance is needed by the company so that sales success can be achieved. Learning orientation is one of the factors that have an influence on increasing salesperson performance, because with a learning orientation it can make a salesperson able to work smartly, have the ability to sell, so that the salesperson's performance will increase. The research method uses SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis with the AMOS program. The results of the study prove that learning orientation, smart work and hard work have a positive influence on the performance of salespeople.
