This community service activity aims to improve the ability of farmers in East Singkawang Regency to prepare simple and structured financial reports. Prior to the activity, most farmers had not maintained regular financial records, thus experiencing difficulties in identifying production costs, revenue, and profitability. The implementation method included socialization of farm financial management, training in preparing simple financial reports, and intensive mentoring. This activity involved 20 farmers as community service partners. Evaluation was conducted through comparing conditions before and after the activity using pre- and post-test instruments and observing financial record keeping results. The results showed a 45% increase in farmers' understanding of financial reporting concepts, as well as a 50% increase in their ability to prepare simple profit and loss and cash flow statements. Furthermore, 83% of participants were able to record business transactions independently and sustainably after the mentoring activity. The implementation of simple financial reports also helped farmers identify production cost structures and determine business plans for the next planting season. This community service activity contributed to strengthening the application of financial management in farming businesses and supported increased transparency, efficiency, and economic sustainability for farmers in East Singkawang Regency.

The city of Singkawang has experienced rapid population growth, leading to an increase in the number of students. On 17 September 2024, the Singkawang City Transportation Agency implemented a free revitalized Student Transport service to reduce the number of traffic accidents involving students. The aim of this study is to identify service and respondent characteristics, evaluate operational management, and assess performance and user satisfaction using the IPA and CSI methods, as well as Vehicle Operating Costs (VOC). The research employs a descriptive quantitative method by analyzing descriptive statistical data. Data were obtained from field observations, interviews, and surveys of 400 student respondents (146 users and 254 non-users). The results show that the student transport operates with two vehicles serving the North and East Singkawang routes. The load factor for outbound trips is 22%–32% and for return trips is 11%–12%, with travel times of 68–85 minutes, average operating speeds of 20–22 km/hour, and circulation times of 68–85 minutes. Based on the IPA analysis, the indicators in quadrant D require socialization regarding the functions and use of the interior of the student transport. The CSI result shows a score of 99.79% (very satisfied). The annual VOC amounts to IDR 292,905,814 (East Singkawang) and IDR 282,020,390 (North Singkawang). In conclusion, this service is satisfactory but still requires socialization to enhance its attractiveness and effectiveness.

This study analyzes the role of women in sustaining social harmony and strengthening multicultural education within the multiethnic society of Singkawang through a critical literature review approach. By integrating the Feminist Peace Theory and Multicultural Education Theory, this research examines both national and international scholarly works that explore women’s contributions to peacebuilding and multicultural education in Southeast Asia. The review reveals that women serve as cultural mediators, peace educators, and social innovators through interethnic and interfaith engagements such as cultural festivals, interreligious forums, and community-based initiatives. Despite notable progress in promoting multicultural education in Singkawang, gender perspectives remain insufficiently integrated into educational practices. Through a synthesis of the reviewed literature, this study proposes a conceptual framework of Gendered Multicultural Peace Education (GMPE), comprising three interrelated dimensions: women’s empowerment in educational and social leadership, empathy-based interethnic learning, and the integration of gender equality into curricula and school culture. The model underscores the strategic role of women as transformative agents and peace educators in multiethnic societies. The findings provide significant implications for the development of gender-sensitive and inclusive educational policies in Indonesia

The golden period in the first two years of a child's life can be achieved optimally if supported by proper nutritional intake from birth. Breast milk (ASI) as the only nutrition for babies up to six months of age is considered to play a very important role in growth and development, so that recommendations from the government, even WHO policies on this matter have been established and published throughout the world. The purpose of this study was to increase public knowledge about stunting in mothers of babies aged 6-24 months. The Community Service Method was carried out by means of counseling and practicing making MP-ASI. The results of community service showed that the implementation of MP-ASI training had increased awareness of the importance of MP-ASI to prevent stunting and support optimal child growth. The conclusion of the PKM activity was that on average participants were able to understand the material and practice how to process MP-ASI properly.

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the lag of the Private Islamic Senior High School (MAS) YASTI Singkawang, the second oldest madrasah in the city which has been established since 1991, compared to newer schools that are more popular with the community. The main challenge faced is the small number of students. This condition questions the central role of madrasah principal leadership in improving the quality of education, especially in process standards, to respond to competition. The focus of this research is to examine: (1) the implementation of madrasah principal leadership, (2) supporting and inhibiting factors. This study employed a qualitative method with a field research approach. Data were collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Informants in this study included the madrasah principal, teachers, administrative staff, and students. The collected data were analyzed interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to ensure the validity of the findings. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The madrasah principal's leadership is implemented collaboratively and participatively, involving all stakeholders in strategic planning and decision-making. (2) Key supporting factors include a conducive madrasah environment and diversified funding sources (BOS and madrasah cooperatives). Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include financial constraints, annual flooding, and a lack of community support and interest. Mitigation strategies were addressed through collaboration with government agencies, universities, and parents/guardians, as well as through simplifying lesson plans to enhance teacher creativity

This research examines the opportunities and challenges in the development of Buddhist traditions in Indonesia, with a specific focus on the role of Tri Dharma (三教 Sam Kauw) as a tradition-strengthening element in fortifying Buddhism in Singkawang City, West Kalimantan. The research is grounded in the dynamic development of Buddhism in Indonesia, which has been influenced by modernity and diverse interpretations of teachings. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method through observation, interviews, and document analysis with religious leaders and Buddhist adherents in Singkawang City, particularly at the historic Vihara Tri Dharma Bumi Raya (established 1873-1878), the findings reveal that the Tri Dharma tradition—integrating Buddhism (佛教), Confucianism (儒教), and Taoism (道教)—holds significant potential in strengthening religious identity and practices through values of wisdom, virtue, and harmony integrated into daily life. The research identifies key opportunities including strong cultural identity, vibrant ritual traditions (Cap Go Meh festival, Tatung rituals), community support structures, and religious tourism potential. However, challenges include limited deep understanding of Tri Dharma teachings among younger generations, influences of popular culture that erode traditional values, pressures of globalization, and modernization impacts. The research implications emphasize the necessity of systematic efforts in socializing and internalizing Tri Dharma teachings through formal and non-formal education, digital media engagement, youth involvement in Vihara activities, tradition documentation and preservation, and inter-Vihara collaboration to ensure Buddhist traditions continue to develop and strengthen their existence in Indonesia's pluralistic society.
