Children in the perspective of the Catholic faith in general are the future of the Church. Because, children are part of grace, faith, hope, and love. The social personality in question is the development of character and mentality that supports children to get to know each other. This requires self-transformation as a benchmark for understanding children's social mobility. This research was conducted at SDK Mardiwiyata 2. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection adopted research methods in the form of literature studies or reviewing articles or journals, Church documents, and books available according to the theme. From the perspective of the Catholic faith, the Church views the understanding of the concept of character education from 2 (two) points of view, namely: Faith education based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) and faith education based on the book of canon law (KHK). The findings from this study are that children who are Catholics are dominated by non-Catholic children so through social life it appears that the character of Catholic children is less desirable, so intensive coaching is needed to shape the child's character. The conclusion this of study is the implementation of children's character in the light of the Catholic faith to improve children's character and mental development. This research intends to find out the struggle of Afro-American women against discrimination in Alice Walker’s The Color Purple. This research is qualitative, which means that the data are in the form of words; thus, the data came from the novel and other books that are relevant to this research. A mimetic approach is used in data analysis to unearth the literary work as an imitation or reflection of aspects of human life, such as sociological, historical, or psychological background that is related to the topic. The result shows that the Afro-American women that are pictured in Celie’s life should struggle against both white and black discrimination. The whites did not accept the existence of the blacks and treated them cruelly through violence, rape, and murder. On the other side, the black man oppressed the Afro-American woman through sex abuse, physical abuse, and economic depression. The black women were living under the protection of men. However, their protection is no better than dominance and subservience. Even though Celie was treated abruptly and disrespectfully by her father and her husband, she could face it bravely, increasing her knowledge and insights, achieving financial success, and being happy in her life. Therefore, she achieves self-esteem, self-acceptance, economic independence, and, above all, freedom for the whole of her life. This is the realization of African American women's desire to gain recognition as individuals who deserve fair and equal treatment.

Nowadays social media offers a variety of content for entertainment and others. One form of content that is widely presented is the theme of self love. Self-love which means loving yourself is a form of appreciating and creating happiness in oneself without worrying about other people's talk. But not all self-love is interpreted wisely by young people or adolescents. They interpret self-love in the form of staying in place, not improving themselves for the better, and making criticism as something to ignore under the pretext of self-love. The different meanings taken by young people make them mentally vulnerable and fragile. So that young people seem not to have the mental steel to face the world because they are trapped in self-love in the wrong meaning. For this reason, it needs to be straightened out that self-love must actually be able to make you more developed yourself, do your best, but make you at the top instead of staying in place.
