The quality of life and well-being of women in Indonesia can be measured through the Female Life Expectancy indicator. Data on Female Life Expectancy from 2022 to 2024 shows a nationally positive trend; however, a significant disparity persists across provinces, particularly between the Western and Eastern regions of Indonesia. The nation still faces challenges in ensuring an equitable quality of life for women, as evidenced by the national Female Life Expectancy (FLE) in 2024 at 74.21 years, which remains lower than ASEAN counterparts such as Singapore at 83.86 years. Furthermore, regional imbalances are reflected in the performance gap between D.I. Yogyakarta (77.4 years) and West Sulawesi (68.28 years). This study aims to analyze the effects of Women's Income Contribution, Access to Clean Water, the Number of Families Receiving Social Assistance, and Women's Mean Years of Schooling on Female Life Expectancy in Indonesia during the 2022–2024 period. The estimation method applied in this research is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) via a quantitative panel data regression approach, spanning an observation area of 33 provinces (n=99). Based on the analysis, Female Life Expectancy is proven to be positively and significantly influenced by Women's Mean Years of Schooling and Access to Clean Water. These findings indicate that human resource quality and environmental conditions serve as dominant factors in driving up Female Life Expectancy. Therefore, government policy interventions should ideally focus on expanding educational access for women and ensuring the equitable distribution of clean water infrastructure.

This study aims to analyze the effect of homework load and extended study hours on students’ learning stress levels. The background of this research is based on increasing academic demands that may affect students’ psychological conditions. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collected through observation and interviews. The results indicate that excessive homework load and prolonged study duration significantly contribute to higher levels of learning stress. Students tend to experience physical and mental fatigue, decreased motivation, and difficulty managing time between study and rest. In addition, pressure to achieve high academic performance further exacerbates stress levels. Other factors such as lack of environmental support and less varied teaching methods also influence students’ stress. Furthermore, students often report feelings of anxiety and emotional exhaustion when academic tasks accumulate without adequate rest periods. This condition not only affects their psychological well-being but also reduces concentration and learning effectiveness in the classroom. Therefore, balanced learning load management, appropriate task distribution, and more effective and humanistic teaching strategies are needed to reduce learning stress and improve the quality of education. Schools and educators are encouraged to consider students’ cognitive capacity and mental health in designing assignments and study schedules to create a more supportive learning environment.

The health of elementary school-aged children is a crucial phase for physical growth and cognitive development, but the school environment is often vulnerable to the spread of disease due to a lack of understanding of hygiene. This community service activity aims to increase students' awareness of the dangers of germs at SD Negeri Sumberbulu 1 through education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) with a primary focus on Handwashing with Soap (CTPS). The implementation method is carried out through three stages: preparation and coordination, educational implementation using animated videos and live demonstrations of the 6 steps of CTPS, and the follow-up stage. The results of the activity showed that the use of visual media and icebreakers effectively increased students' enthusiasm and understanding in absorbing the health steps taught. As a form of sustainability, the team coordinated with the school, which then expressed its willingness to integrate the CTPS scheme into the school's daily routine independently. Thus, this program successfully transformed healthy behavior into a permanent school culture to maintain the quality of life for the next generation.

Quality education is one of the 17 global goals known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4. This goal aims to ensure equitable, inclusive, and quality education for all people. In Indonesia, elementary school teachers play the most important role because they interact directly with students every day. This article comprehensively examines the role of elementary school teachers in supporting SDG 4 from three main perspectives: teachers’ professional competence, innovative teaching methods, and teachers’ involvement within the school community. The method used is a systematic review of 45 selected scientific sources published between 2020 and 2024, including international journals, reports from global institutions, and Indonesian government policy documents. The findings show that competent, creative, and highly dedicated elementary school teachers are closely related to improving learning quality, increasing school participation, and developing positive character in students. However, several major challenges remain unresolved, such as unequal teacher distribution, low welfare, and limited access to technology—especially in remote areas. This article recommends three main actions: strengthening continuous teacher professional development policies, improving the teacher performance evaluation system to make it more comprehensive, and increasing collaboration among the government, universities, and local communities in order to achieve SDG 4 effectively in Indonesia.

This article reviews the history and transformation of madrasah management in Indonesia. Emerging in the early twentieth century, madrasahs developed as educational institutions that combined the traditional values of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) with the organizational structure of modern schools. This study employs a literature review method to examine the evolution of madrasah governance from the colonial era to the reform era. The findings reveal three major stages in the development of madrasah management. The first stage was the early period, during which madrasahs were independently managed by religious leaders and Islamic organizations with limited government involvement. The second stage was the post-independence integration period, characterized by increasing government intervention in curriculum development, institutional regulation, and legal recognition. The third stage was the modernization era, marked by the issuance of the Joint Decree of the Three Ministers in 1975 and the enactment of the National Education System Law of 2003, which strengthened the position of madrasahs within the national education system and placed them on an equal footing with public schools. These developments encouraged madrasahs to adopt Madrasah-Based Management (MBM) as a strategy to improve educational quality, effectiveness, and competitiveness. Overall, the transformation of madrasah management reflects an adaptive process that enables madrasahs to respond to educational reforms and societal changes while maintaining their distinctive Islamic identity and educational mission.
