This study aims to examine in depth the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping the character and ethics of students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah, Ciruas, Serang, Banten. Amidst the challenges of globalization and modernization that bring changes in values and behavior, PAI plays a strategic role in instilling moral, spiritual, and social values in students. Religious education not only teaches religious knowledge but also shapes attitudes, behaviors, and mindsets in accordance with Islamic teachings, enabling students to cope with diverse environmental influences. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research informants consisted of PAI teachers, students, the principal, and homeroom teachers, thus obtaining a comprehensive picture of the implementation of PAI at the madrasah. The results show that PAI makes a significant contribution to the formation of student character, particularly in aspects of religiosity, discipline, responsibility, honesty, tolerance, and courtesy. Learning strategies used include habituating worship, teacher role models, enforcing school rules, and integrating Islamic values into all subjects. Additionally, extracurricular activities such as religious study groups, Islamic holiday commemorations, and Quran memorization programs are also effective tools for strengthening students' character. However, this study also identified several challenges, including low parental involvement in children's character development, negative environmental influences, and limited variety of learning methods. Therefore, synergy between madrasahs, families, and the community is needed to create an educational ecosystem that supports comprehensive and sustainable character development. Through this collaboration, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is expected to provide a strong foundation for creating a generation with noble character and competitiveness in the modern era.

This research seeks to explore how the Adiwiyata program is implemented in fostering students' religious character through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at SMA Negeri 1 Tambakboyo. The research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, focusing on exploring the direct experiences of teachers and students in carrying out the program. The data were obtained using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the Adiwiyata program not only contributes to raising environmental awareness but also plays a significant role in instilling character values such as responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and socio-ecological awareness. These values are internalized through reflective and participatory daily activities, such as classroom cleaning duties, waste management, composting, and energy-saving campaigns. All of these activities are carried out with active and structured involvement from teachers, the school principal, and the entire school community. Supporting factors include adequate facilities and infrastructure, habituation of positive behaviors, and the integration of religious values into environmental activities. However, some challenges remain, such as the low initial understanding of new students and inconsistent behavior change. The implication of these findings is that environmental programs, when integrated with character education, can serve as effective media for building students’ moral and religious values in a contextual and sustainable manner, in line with national education goals and Islamic principles.

The fact that some students have poor morals-for example, by speaking rudely, leaving class to study, arguing while joking, disrespecting professors, but preferring to come late-is what prompted our investigation. The formulation of the study topic that stems from several problems at SDI Ibnu Sham Kubang Putih is how to instill praiseworthy moral values (morals towards friends and teachers) through student Islamic activities at SDI Ibnu Sham Kubang Putih. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Islamic activities of SDI Ibnu Syam Kubang Putih students can instill good moral values (morals towards teachers and morals towards peers). The descriptive qualitative method was used in the field study conducted. Research with this qualitative descriptive approach is carried out to explain or show events that occur in the field without falsifying or comparing data. This method is expected to provide a more detailed and comprehensive picture of the development of praiseworthy morals among SDI Ibnu Sham Kubang Putih students through their Islamic activities. The Islamic Religion teacher acts as the primary data source of the research, while the students of class III A, the principal, and the homeroom teacher act as supporting informants. To collect data in this study, the researchers used observation - more specifically, they saw how values were instilled directly. Through this Islamic exercise, noble values were demonstrated. In addition, instructors and students were interviewed directly to serve as supporting informants. The research findings show that the Islamic activities conducted at the school are as follows: Quran recitation, Muhadharah, Tahfidz al-Qur'an, and Zuhr prayer in congregation. Islamic activities develop commendable behavioral traits, such as discipline, good manners, clean lifestyle, environmental awareness, responsibility, and mutual respect. During this time, SDI Ibnu Syam Kubang Putih students are forming commendable moral values through Islamic activities by familiarizing them with constructive acts of devotion.
