Difficulties in learning to read the Qur’an among adults do not always stem from the quality of teaching materials or instructors, but are often caused by the use of learning methods that are not appropriate to adult learners’ characteristics. Adults possess distinct psychological, physiological, and experiential backgrounds that require learning approaches different from those used for children. Monotonous and rigid instructional methods may hinder motivation and limit learning outcomes, particularly in Qur’anic literacy education. This condition is further compounded by physical limitations commonly experienced by adults and the elderly, such as dental and oral health problems, as well as strong regional language accents that affect pronunciation accuracy. In response to these challenges, the Tsaqifa method was developed as an alternative and practical approach specifically designed for adult beginners who have little or no prior ability to read the Qur’an. This method emphasizes simplicity, flexibility, and learner-centered instruction, enabling participants to gradually improve their Qur’anic reading skills in a supportive and non-intimidating learning environment. Through its application, adult learners are encouraged to regain confidence and motivation in studying the Qur’an, thereby contributing to efforts to reduce Qur’anic illiteracy among adult and elderly communities, particularly in rural areas.

Language contact that occurs in a multilingual society causes various linguistic events. One of these linguistic events is the language shift that occurs among children in Bantik Sumoit Village. This study aims to describe how the Bantik language shift occurs, the factors causing the Bantik language shift, and efforts to overcome the Bantik language shift among children in Bantik Sumoit Village, Bolaang Timur District. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type located in Bantik Sumoit Village, Bolaang Timur District. The data collection technique used is by listening to direct conversations from children while recording and noting important things during the interaction process. Then data analysis is carried out by transcribing, reading, selecting data, identifying data, grouping/classifying, and making conclusions. The results of the study show that the use of the Bantik language has experienced a significant shift which is marked by indicators such as the replacement of traditional languages by other languages and the emergence of an imbalance in its use. This indicator indicates that language shift occurs when the use of the first and second languages becomes unbalanced. If this balance is lost, there are two possibilities that can occur. First, the first language persists despite the influence of the second language. Second, the first language is replaced by the second language until it is no longer used. This is influenced by a number of factors, namely education, socio-economic conditions, environment, and family. Efforts to overcome language shift include: adding Bantik language as a local content subject (mulok) in schools, the active role of parents in using regional languages in the family environment, and increasing public awareness of the importance of preserving regional languages in everyday life.

This research aims to analyze forms of phonological interference in the use of Indonesian by speakers of the Nias regional language in Garu II, Medan Amplas. The background of this research is based on the fact that the Nias people, as a bilingual group, often experience difficulties in pronouncing Indonesian according to the rules, resulting in symptoms of phonological deviations such as deletions, changes and additions of phonemes. Using qualitative descriptive methods and triangulation techniques (observation, interviews, documentation), this research found three main forms of interference: (1) deletion of the final phoneme (example: "jalan" becomes "jala"), (2) changes in phonemes (example: "kaya" becomes “kayo”), and (3) the addition of phonemes (example: “although” becomes “walampun”). Factors causing interference include the social environment, first language habits, low vocabulary mastery, and weak loyalty to the second language. It is hoped that the results of this research can enrich the study of phonology and become a reference in developing Indonesian for bilingual communities.

One of the efforts to reduce MMR is by increasing the knowledge and skills of pregnant women, including regarding the danger signs of pregnancy. The class for pregnant women coordinated by the Sungai Turak village health center was felt to be less than optimal, where the level of attendance and motivation of mothers in attending the class for pregnant women was felt to be lacking. So a solution is needed to increase mothers' interest and motivation in attending classes for pregnant women held by the Sungai Turak Community Health Center. Completion by providing a creative poster about the importance of classes for pregnant women. The posters created are designed to be as attractive as possible, so that they get the attention of pregnant women who check their pregnancies at the Puskesmas/Posyandu. The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) was enacted at the end of 2015, this is an opportunity for a country's skilled workforce to become professional workers in ASEAN member countries. Because the inherent nature of the enactment of the AEC is the repeal of regulations that allow the flow of goods, services, people (skilled workers), and money to be unhindered. In this condition, the role of cross-cultural communication in organizations is very strategic in creating reinforcement for the sustainability of skilled workers in pursuing their professional careers. It has become a trend that in the era of the global economy there are company activities that involve individuals/employees/managers from more than one country, both those assigned to other countries and those assigned to their own country. This condition causes cross-cultural communication to become unavoidable. In cross-cultural communication, one of the obstacles is language. Language is an extension of a culture. Differences in understanding or interpreting a word or symbol become a potential barrier to communication and this can hinder the process of business or organizational activities. For individuals who are involved in cross-cultural communication within an organization, it is recommended: 1) Increase knowledge and understanding of the culture of business partners or colleagues, 2) It is better to assume that other people who come from other cultures are different from us so as not to cause misperceptions and miscommunication with that person, 3) Apart from mastering the universal language, it is highly recommended to learn the local/regional language where we are assigned/work.
