Second, externally, there has been no development and improvement of tourism objects that are adequate for the consumption of local and foreign tourists in Pekalongan Regency. Thirdly, there is a lack of participation and awareness of the people to form "Rakyat Sadar Wisata" groups, but more people are not aware of tourism, so there is still "robbery" and destruction of tourist attraction facilities, illegal parking in tourist attraction areas, inadequate number and condition of tourist attraction facilities, and a lack of investors. However, there is a relief in the support from the Provincial and Central Governments as well as the availability of large areas of coastal, inland and mountainous land in Pekalongan Regency and the many potential natural resources in Pekalongan Regency that have not been utilised. However, there is a relief that there is support from the provincial and central governments as well as the availability of large areas of coastal, inland and mountainous land in Pekalongan Regency and there are still many potential natural resources in Pekalongan Regency that have not been utilised to create new tourism objects.

The Lampung Pepadun wedding tradition represents a harmony between local culture and Islamic values. This study aims to identify the manifestation of Islamic principles within the Lampung Pepadun wedding tradition and explain the alignment between local customs and Islamic law in its practice. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with cultural and religious leaders, direct observations of wedding ceremonies, and document analysis. The findings reveal that this tradition systematically integrates elements of Islamic law, such as the marriage contract (akad), dowry (mahar), and communal prayers, without eliminating the unique symbols and cultural meanings of the local practices. The study also highlights the significant role of religious figures in preserving Islamic values amid the challenges of modernization, which often influence the implementation of traditions. These findings suggest that local traditions grounded in religious values have significant potential to serve as a medium for cultural preservation and spiritual reinforcement within communities. Therefore, preserving such traditions through approaches consistent with Islamic law is essential to maintaining cultural identity and community religiosity.

The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) was enacted at the end of 2015, this is an opportunity for a country's skilled workforce to become professional workers in ASEAN member countries. Because the inherent nature of the enactment of the AEC is the repeal of regulations that allow the flow of goods, services, people (skilled workers), and money to be unhindered. In this condition, the role of cross-cultural communication in organizations is very strategic in creating reinforcement for the sustainability of skilled workers in pursuing their professional careers. It has become a trend that in the era of the global economy there are company activities that involve individuals/employees/managers from more than one country, both those assigned to other countries and those assigned to their own country. This condition causes cross-cultural communication to become unavoidable. In cross-cultural communication, one of the obstacles is language. Language is an extension of a culture. Differences in understanding or interpreting a word or symbol become a potential barrier to communication and this can hinder the process of business or organizational activities. For individuals who are involved in cross-cultural communication within an organization, it is recommended: 1) Increase knowledge and understanding of the culture of business partners or colleagues, 2) It is better to assume that other people who come from other cultures are different from us so as not to cause misperceptions and miscommunication with that person, 3) Apart from mastering the universal language, it is highly recommended to learn the local/regional language where we are assigned/work.
