Background: Major surgery is a method of treatment that is most often performed to treat a medical condition or disease. World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020 the worlds laparratomy patients increase every year until 10%. In Indonesia, laparotomy cases are ranked 5th, it is recorded that the total number of operationsthere are1.2 milion peoplesand an estimated 42% of them are laparotomy surgeries. Nausea and vomiting are the two most common postoperative side effects. Early mobilization exercises can have an effect on reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting in anesthetized patients. Objective: to determine the effect of early mobilization on the frequency of nausea and vomiting due to anesthesia in post-laparotomy patients at Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta. Research Method: pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest design. The sample size of this study was 56 post-laparotomy patients using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results: nausea, vomiting before early mobilization in large post-laparotomy patients, mild nausea (50.0%) and after early mobilization, most of them were not nauseous (53.6%). Bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon test obtained p-value: 0.000 (α: <0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of early mobilization on the frequency of nausea and vomiting due to anesthesia in post-laparotomy patients at Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta.

Anxiety is a mistake, doubt in something that will happen with an unclear cause or object related to feelings of uncertainty such as worry about facing surgery. To overcome anxiety, there are types of therapy that can be applied by nurses, namely pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy. One type of non-pharmacological therapy that can be used is the Benson relaxation technique. This study aims to determine the effect of Benson relaxation on reducing anxiety levels in pre-operative patients in the Dahlia Room, Tanjungpinang City Hospital. The design of this research is a pre-experiment with one group pretest posttest type. The number of samples in this study was 21 preoperative patients using the Accidental Sampling technique. The instrument used was the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety And Information Scale (APAIS) questionnaire. Then analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon test. Univariate results before being given Benson relaxation showed that 33.3% had mild anxiety, 66.7% had moderate anxiety, and after Benson relaxation 85.7% had mild anxiety, 14.3% had moderate anxiety. Bivariate results show that the hypothesis is accepted with a p-value of 0.000. It was concluded that there was an effect of Benson relaxation on reducing anxiety levels in pre-operative patients in the Dahlia Room, Tanjungpinang City Hospital. From this research, it is hoped that the Benson relaxation technique can be used as an alternative therapy to reduce patient anxiety levels that does not have harmful side effects for patients.

Background; The problem in postoperative patients is the pain felt due to surgical wounds. This results in patients feeling uncomfortable, uneasy, and various other emotional disturbances. So it is necessary to do dzikir therapy to treat pain. Purpose; Describe the effect of dhikr therapy on changes in postoperative pain scale. Method; Using a descriptive method in the form of a case study the two respondents focused on the implementation of dzikir therapy to reduce postoperative pain by giving dhikr therapy once for 3 days. Results; Dzikir therapy has an effect on changes in the postoperative pain scale so that the acute pain experienced by patients can be reduced. Patient 1 from a pain scale of 6 becomes a pain scale of 3 and Patient 2 from a pain scale of 6 becomes a pain scale of 2. Conclusion; Dzikir therapy in postoperative patients with pain can effectively reduce surgical pain and can be developed for further research

Sectio is a surgical operation to help pregnant women give birth by making an incision in the abdominal wall (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterectomy). Compared with regular births, which only cause about 9% more suffering, births by cesarean section cause about 27.3% more pain. Pharmacology and non-pharmacology can be used together to treat pain. Within 24 hours after a caesarean section, patients can experience a five times greater reduction in pain thanks to lavender aromatherapy. There are no risks associated with using the main active components of lavender oil, linalyl acetate, and linalool, which may provide a calming effect. When lavender aromatherapy is inhaled, the compounds it contains trigger the hypothalamus to produce endorphins which can calm and soothe. Lavender aromatherapy also has properties that make it antibacterial, analgesic, antidepressant and antispasmodic. By offering and using lavender aromatherapy, this research approach is descriptive and takes the form of a case report. The aim of this research is to determine whether the use of lavender aromatherapy can help patients after giving birth by caesarean section reduce their discomfort. After receiving lavender aromatherapy, the research findings changed from a scale of 7 to 3. Research findings show that the use of lavender aromatherapy can help postpartum patients undergoing cesarean section reduce their discomfort.

Background: Pre-operation is the initial stage to prepare the patient as much as possible, more than two-thirds of patients waiting for surgery experience anxiety because it is their first time undergoing spinal anesthesia surgery. As a result of the patient's intense preoperative anxiety, there is a possibility that the operation cannot be carried out. The way to overcome anxiety is through deep breathing relaxation techniques. Objective: To determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation on anxiety in preoperative patients. Research methods: This research uses quantitative research design using Quasy Experiment, namely an experimental design carried out without randomization. This research was conducted at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital in the operating room in February 2024. This population consisted of 42 patients in one month with a research sample of 30 respondents. This research instrument uses the APAIS questionnaire. This research technique uses purposive sampling. Results: The data that can be generated when using the deep breathing relaxation technique is 30 respondents using the pre test-post test technique. During the pre-test, those experiencing moderate anxiety amounted to 40.0%, severe anxiety amounted to 40.0%, the most severe anxiety/panic amounted to 20.0%. At the time of the post test, those experiencing mild anxiety were 66.7%, and those experiencing moderate anxiety were 33.3%. Conclusion: When the observation was carried out, there was a decrease in the level of anxiety, so that the respondent's anxiety had reduced.

ABSTRACT. Sectio Caesarea (SC) is a common and widely performed operation on pregnant women and its prevalence is increasing every year. The incidence of cesarean section in Indonesia is around 22.8% of all deliveries. Spinal anesthesia for cesarean section is very beneficial because of the simplicity of the technique, fast onset, reduced systemic toxicity but has the risk of complications that often occur after anesthesia and surgery are pain, nausea and vomiting. Objective: To analyze the comparison of the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PON-V) between fasting and non-fasting in patients with caesarean section who underwent regional anesthesia. Research Methods: Experimental research with clinical trials and including quantitative research. It will be held in March 2021 at IBS RSUD Caruban, Madiun Regency. The sampling technique was probability sampling using consecutive sampling where the sample consisted of 30 SC surgery patients who were divided into two groups, namely 15 fasting and non-fasting patients with spinal anesthesia. Data analysis using Paired Sample T Test with SPSS 22.00 for windows. Result : Post operative nausea and vomiting occurred in both groups . The difference in the incidence of PON-V in both fasting and non-fasting groups in cesarean section patients, the T test (independent T Test) showed a p value of 0.380 (p value > 0.05). Conclusion: There is no difference in the comparison of PON-V between fasting and non-fasting patients in sectio cesarean surgery patients at Caruban Hospital, Madiun Regency in 2021.
