Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the global health challenges that continues to rise, including in Indonesia. However, the lack of education and counseling from pharmacists regarding the use of natural ingredients medicines has the potential to affect the effectiveness of treatment and the management of DM. This study aims to measure the level of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour of DM patients, related to the use of natural ingredient drugs in DM management. This study uses a cross-sectional method design, starting with the collection of quantitative data. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling technique over a period of four months. The research involved 101 DM patients from 15 pharmacies in Kendal Regency. The level of knowledge (44.6%), attitude (66.3%), and behaviour (39.6%) of patients in the moderate category. However, the limited knowledge of pharmacists remains a barrier to optimizing pharmaceutical services related to educating patients about natural ingredient medications.

The implementation of the Frequent Pattern Growth (FPG) algorithm in a web-based drug purchasing application at Sumber Sehat Pharmacy aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in analyzing customer drug purchasing patterns. The FPG algorithm is a method used to identify frequent purchase patterns or frequent itemsets in purchase transactions, which can then be used to make relevant drug recommendations for customers. This study uses a case study at Sumber Sehat Pharmacy to explore drug purchasing patterns and provide a data-driven solution that can help pharmacies improve service and adjust drug stocks according to customer needs. The results show that the application of the FPG algorithm can identify significant purchasing patterns and assist pharmacies in determining more appropriate promotional strategies and inventory management. By using a web-based application that implements this algorithm, Sumber Sehat Pharmacy can provide drug recommendations that are more in line with customer preferences, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and pharmacy operational efficiency.

This systematic literature review examines queue system simulation in hospitals across four key service areas: emergency departments, outpatient clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies. Following PRISMA methodology, 72 relevant studies (2015-2020) were analyzed to identify simulation models, software tools, performance parameters, and emerging trends. Findings reveal Discrete-Event Simulation dominance (59.7%), with increasing hybrid model adoption integrating System Dynamics and Agent-Based approaches. Emergency departments remain the primary application focus (52.8%), while Arena and AnyLogic emerged as predominant simulation platforms. Patient waiting time (91.7%) and resource utilization (77.8%) constitute the most evaluated performance metrics. Technological convergence trends demonstrate integration of real-time data analytics, machine learning, and digital twin concepts into traditional simulation frameworks. This review contributes methodological insights for optimizing hospital queueing systems while identifying research gaps in cross-departmental model interoperability and comprehensive value-based performance evaluation within contemporary healthcare systems.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have become essential technological tools for collecting, storing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to support various human activities. The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly expanded the use of GIS, particularly through web-based platforms and mobile applications, enabling wider accessibility and real-time data utilization. This study focuses on analyzing the utilization of GIS applications and websites across multiple sectors and their contributions to improving efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making processes in daily life. The main objective of this research is to identify, evaluate, and synthesize recent developments in GIS implementation through a systematic literature review. Scientific articles were collected from reputable international and national journals published within the last five years (2018–2022). A total of 130 international journals and 100 national journals were initially identified through database searches. After applying relevance screening and inclusion criteria, 33 selected articles were analyzed in depth to extract key findings, application trends, and potential research gaps. The results show that GIS applications and web-based systems play a vital role in supporting various sectors. In education, GIS facilitates spatial mapping for industrial internship placement (PRAKERIN) and school zoning management. In healthcare, GIS assists in mapping healthcare facilities, including pharmacies and hospitals, to improve service accessibility. In transportation, GIS-based systems provide route planning, traffic monitoring, and public transport information to enhance mobility and reduce congestion. GIS applications are also increasingly applied in environmental monitoring, disaster management, urban planning, and natural resource management. Overall, this study emphasizes the growing importance of GIS technologies as strategic tools for data-driven decision-making and sustainable development. The findings are expected to provide valuable insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in optimizing GIS-based solutions to improve public services and quality of life.

Respiratory tract disease is a common condition that can affect anyone regardless of age. Starting from relatively mild symptoms to alarming symptoms. Although some respiratory diseases are not life-threatening, they should not be taken lightly as they can cause serious complications. What often happens is that it is difficult for a patient to see a specialist doctor because of the limited number of respiratory specialists who cannot fully serve patients, so people often have difficulty if they want to consult directly. This triggers the habit of the community to treat complaints on their own with simple drugs bought freely at drugstores or pharmacies without knowing for sure the disease they suffer, as well as the length of waiting for queues, consultation fees that are quite expensive and not everyone has a short distance to the hospital prefer not to go to a specialist. Like other organs of the human body, breathing is also prone to various diseases. Respiratory organs will be disrupted and can even cause death. By using the Naïve Bayes method above, it is known that the diagnosis of respiratory disease is that the young female patient is diagnosed with a type of respiratory disease called Farangitis (P05) with a percentage of 47.44%.

Drug interaction is a change in the effect of a drug due to the presence of other drugs taken simultaneously, which will cause a decrease in the therapeutic effect of the drug and toxicity in the body can increase. Changes in drug effects due to drug interactions vary greatly between individuals because they are influenced by various factors such as dose, drug levels in the blood, route of drug administration, drug metabolism, duration of therapy and patient characteristics. The potential for drug interactions can occur, one of which is in patients who take a large number of drugs simultaneously or Polypharmacy. Therefore, this study is related to the problem of drug interactions that occur due to Polypharmacy Prescriptions from internal medicine specialists at One of the Pharmacies in Bandung City which really needs to be considered, especially by a pharmacist. The results can be concluded that there are 22 drug interactions originating from 69 prescriptions with details of 10 minor interactions, 11 moderate interactions, and 1 major interaction. This shows that of the 69 prescriptions that have been studied, only 31.88% have interactions with minor, moderate, and major categories.

Medicinal plants are plants that are used by the community to improve the ability to live a healthy life. This public belief that has been carried out from generation to generation has been scientifically proven. Rural communities generally plant various types of plants, both seasonal and perennials, in their yards, which are commonly referred to as living barns, living stalls and living pharmacies. This research was conducted in one of the house yards in Pataruman village, Cihampelas sub-district, Bandung Regency. By identifying medicinal plants based on their morphology and literature studies. The results of this research obtained 6 plant species, namely Katuk, Betel, Bandotan, Honje, Ki Edi, and Aloe Vera. The substances contained in these plants are very beneficial for health, such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, vitamins A, B, C and others. This research was conducted at Apotek Pelangi Farma Subang, because during the Covid-19 period pharmacies became a very vital business field and were the spearhead between the interests of pharmaceutical supply and the interests of the community to obtain medicines or all kinds of needs to support health. The purpose of this study is to determine the determination of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and how much gross profit is obtained, and whether the profit is optimal. This research uses Descriptive Analysis method by calculating quantitative data and analyzing financial statements and expressed with qualitative data to interpret the results of data calculations. The results of this study indicate that gross profit is a change in deduction from sales minus cost of goods sold. While the cost of goods sold is a calculation of the initial inventory plus purchases minus the final inventory, so that the cost of goods sold from 2018 to 2020 has increased and the profit obtained is optimal.
