The rise of social media has made TikTok one of the platforms where public discussions quickly develop, especially when dealing with issues involving public figures. Cases of infidelity often receive strong reactions, and many users express their emotions through comments that spread widely and shape public conversation. This study aims to examine the emotional expressions of netizens in responding to an infidelity case involving a public figure on TikTok, particulary on the account @nyatamedia. A descritive qualitative approach was applied, using documentation and content analysis to identify the forms and meanings of netizen comments contain a range of emotions such as anger, dissapointment, disgust, empathy, sadness, fear, sarcasm, and social criticism. Anger and dissapointment show rejaction of the infidelity, while empathy and sadness reflect concern for the affected party. The comments contain personal views and criticism related to social conditions, especially those connected to public perceptions of marriage. Based on these findings, social media appears to serve as a space where people express their feelings and opinions about events that attract public attention.

This study aims to understand the dynamics of children’s communication within families after parental infidelity in Subang Regency, with a focus on conflict, problem-solving strategies, and conformity. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method, with data collected through purposive sampling involving four key informants and five supporting informants. The findings indicate that post-affair conflicts often lead to children’s withdrawal from family interactions, while problem-solving efforts are not always successful in restoring trust and repairing family relationships due to unresolved emotional wounds. Children’s conformity tends to become increasingly closed and restrictive, with the family no longer functioning as a safe space to express feelings and share concerns. Parental infidelity significantly disrupts family communication, particularly in parent–child interactions, as children tend to feel insecure, lose trust, and adopt rigid or defensive communication patterns. This condition reflects a broader psychological impact in which children experience emotional distress, confusion, and difficulties in establishing meaningful relationships. Moreover, the study highlights that unresolved family communication breakdowns may contribute to long-term consequences, such as reduced self-esteem and heightened vulnerability to stress. The research underscores the importance of maintaining open, honest, and empathetic communication to support children’s emotional recovery after parental infidelity. It also recommends seeking professional assistance, such as counselors or psychologists, when families are unable to independently rebuild healthy communication patterns. This provides not only emotional relief but also preventive measures for further deterioration of family relationships.

This study discusses God’s prohibition of adultery as stated in Malachi 2:14–16 and its relevance to contemporary Christian families. Adultery is regarded as a betrayal that not only damages the marital relationship but also violates the sacred covenant with God. The study highlights that an ideal Christian family is one founded on God’s Word, upholding love, faithfulness, and a life of reverence to God. However, in reality, many families face challenges such as individualistic lifestyles, the negative impact of social media, poor communication, and declining spiritual values. Real-life cases, including infidelity leading to violence, reveal the urgency of applying biblical principles to build strong families. Thus, Malachi 2:14–16 serves as a theological foundation affirming the importance of faithfulness and love in preserving the integrity of Christian marriage. Furthermore, poor communication, a lack of mutual understanding, and declining spiritual engagement can strain relationships, making it more difficult to maintain a strong, healthy marriage. These challenges highlight the critical need for Christian families to return to the foundational principles outlined in God’s Word, including the importance of sacrificial love, trust, and mutual respect. The study draws attention to the practical implications of these teachings, urging families to actively engage in spiritual practices, open communication, and mutual support to overcome the pressures of modern life. By doing so, they can create environments where love and faithfulness flourish, ensuring that their relationships remain strong and rooted in the divine covenant established by God. Thus, Malachi 2:14-16 remains highly relevant today as a timeless reminder of the sacred nature of marriage and the importance of nurturing healthy, God-centered relationships in Christian families.
