Lake Rawa Pening is one of Indonesia’s priority lakes facing serious ecological pressure due to the rapid proliferation of water hyacinth. This study aims to classify and map the distribution of water hyacinth in Rawa Pening Lake during the 2021–2025 period and to analyze the seasonal distribution patterns of water hyacinth. Sentinel-2 imagery processed on the Google Earth Engine platform was classified using the Random Forest algorithm combined with hybrid sampling and spectral indices (NDVI, NDWI, MNDWI, and SRI). Classification accuracy assessment showed high performance with an Overall Accuracy of 97.45% and a Kappa coefficient of 0.949. The results indicate significant spatial-temporal fluctuations, with the highest coverage recorded in March–April 2021 (855.75 ha) and the lowest in May–June 2022 (108.44 ha). Seasonal-Trend Decomposition using Loess (STL) revealed consistent seasonal patterns, with peak expansion occurring during the rainy season, particularly in January–February. Although initial implementation of lake management policies reduced coverage, subsequent increases suggest that control measures remain insufficiently sustainable. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of cloud-based satellite monitoring for evaluating lake management policies and supporting evidence-based environmental management strategies.

Semarang Regency holds a strategic geographical position as a transit hub along the Semarang–Solo–Yogyakarta corridor, supported by diverse tourist attractions and strong economic performance. Despite recording 744,659 domestic tourist movements in March 2026 based on Mobile Positioning Data, the regency failed to enter the top ten most-visited destinations in Central Java during the 2026 Lebaran holiday, with only 139,816 visits recorded at its ten leading attractions. This yields an indicative conversion rate of approximately 18.8 percent at the Lebaran peak, meaning more than 80 percent of movements passing through the regency did not translate into recorded tourism visits. This study employs a descriptive quantitative method supported by explanatory qualitative analysis (sequential explanatory mixed methods), triangulating four secondary data sources to identify the competitive gap, analyze conversion disparities, and formulate improvement strategies toward Lebaran 2027. Findings indicate that the primary drivers of low conversion are the transit-only behavior of the majority of visitors and accessibility constraints at the Bawen–Ambarawa–Bandungan corridor. The study recommends four priority strategies: integrated single-window digital data management via Application Programming Interface; private-vehicle-based traffic and access management; four anchor-themed festival clusters across 14 sub-districts; and the formalization of Pangsar Sudirman Night Market and Kuda Lumping Festival as official tourism events. Achieving the minimum target of 203,458 visits to enter the top ten requires an increase of at least 63,642 visits (approximately 45 percent above the current recorded baseline).

Cattle farming plays a strategic role in rural economic development by generating employment, supplementary household income, and contributing to food and nutritional security. However, in Indonesia, most smallholder cattle enterprises remain traditional and small-scale, leading farmers to treat livestock farming primarily as a secondary livelihood. While previous studies have largely focused on technical adoption and production performance, limited attention has been given to farmers’ psychological interest as a foundation for sustaining livestock enterprises. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the level of community interest in cattle farming and examine the influence of farmers’ characteristics (age, education level, herd size, number of family dependents, farming experience, and primary income) on such interest. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 34 cattle farmers in Taji Village, Jabung District, Malang Regency, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that community interest in cattle farming is generally high, as reflected in emotional (3.93), cognitive (3.81), and conative (3.74) dimensions measured on a four-point Likert scale. Regression results indicate that age has a significant positive effect (p = 0.022), whereas farming experience has a significant negative effect (p = 0.025) on interest levels. Other variables show no statistically significant influence. These findings highlight that psychological engagement in cattle farming is shaped more by demographic and experiential factors than by formal education or income level. The study contributes to the literature by positioning interest as a psychological determinant of livestock sustainability. Policy implications emphasize the urgency of risk-mitigation extension programs to address farmer burnout, incentivized intergenerational knowledge transfer, and cooperative-based institutional support to ensure smallholder livestock sustainability.

Heat stress is a major constraint in broiler production systems located in humid tropical climates, where high ambient temperature and relative humidity impair growth performance, feed efficiency, and animal welfare. This systematic review synthesizes peer-reviewed studies published between January 2015 and December 2025 evaluating environmental housing designs and cooling strategies for mitigating heat stress in broiler chickens. This systematic review followed the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and synthesized peer-reviewed studies retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect, published between January 2015 and December 2025. From 500 records initially identified, 26 studies fulfilled the predefined eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative synthesis. The findings demonstrate that evaporative cooling systems, tunnel ventilation, and automated climate control technologies consistently reduced indoor temperature (2–6°C) and improved body weight gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR), and mortality rates under hot-humid conditions. However, cooling efficiency was strongly influenced by ambient humidity, necessitating integrated and adaptive environmental control approaches. Smart sensor-based systems further enhanced microclimate stability and thermal uniformity within broiler houses. Beyond performance improvements, optimized environmental management reduced physiological stress indicators, including heterophil-to-lymphocyte ratios and corticosterone levels. Overall, integrated, humidity-adaptive, and energy-efficient cooling strategies are essential to sustain productivity, welfare, and climate resilience in tropical broiler production systems.

Nursing care in hospitals is still below the established standard of 80%, thus reflecting suboptimal nurse performance. This condition is thought to be influenced by factors such as rewards, workload, length of service and supervision. This study aims to analyze the relationship between rewards, workload, length of service, and supervision with nurse performance in the Inpatient Unit of Ratu Zalecha Martapura Regional Hospital. This study used a quantitative method with an observational analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 152 nurses selected using cluster proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed a significant relationship between rewards and nurse performance (p-value=<0.001), workload and nurse performance (p<0.001), and supervision and nurse performance (p-value=<0.001). Length of service did not show a significant relationship with nurse performance (p-value=0,968). Multivariate analysis showed that supervision was the most dominant factor related to nurse performance. Thus, compensation, workload, and supervision are related to nurse performance, while length of service is not related to nurse performance in the Inpatient Unit of Ratu Zalecha Regional Hospital, Martapura. The hospital is expected to improve supervision, workload management, and training and recognition for nurses to improve the quality of nursing services.
