Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are chronic diseases, not transmitted from person to person. PTM has a long duration and generally develops slowly. Based on the results of interviews with housewives in Poto Village, information was obtained that people regularly consume vegetables, but fruit is still very rare. Side dishes include fish, tofu and tempeh and meat made in various variants. Consuming fast food such as instant noodles and fried foods is still a habit among people.  Based on the background above, educational activities related to a balanced diet need to be conveyed to the public. This service aims to increase housewives' understanding of a balanced diet as an effort to prevent NCDs in Poto Village, Moyo Hilir District. Community service activities are carried out through providing education through health instructors using power point media. To evaluate the success of outreach activities in increasing housewives' knowledge about preventing NCDs, a series of pre-test and post-test activities were carried out. The results of the service show that there is an influence of the counseling given on increasing housewives' knowledge about a balanced diet as an effort to prevent NCDs.

Abstract. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This disease continues to be a serious health problem in Indonesia, with high incidence rates in various regions, including rural areas. Efforts to prevent DHF are often focused on controlling mosquito vectors through various methods, one of which is the use of insecticides. However, the use of chemical insecticides can have negative impacts on human health and the environment. Therefore, this research develops a natural alternative in the form of Anti Mosquito Spray and Hand Sanitizer made from lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus). Lemongrass was chosen because it contains citronella, a compound proven to have activity as a repellent or mosquito deterrent. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of lemongrass-based mosquito repellent spray as well as its capability as a hand sanitizer. The results show that this product is not only effective in preventing mosquito bites but also safe to use as a hand sanitizer, making it a practical and environmentally friendly solution in the prevention of DHF.

The rapid spread of infectious diseases remains a major global health threat, and early detection is vital to minimize their impact. This research investigates the role of predictive modeling using big data in the early detection of infectious disease outbreaks. The primary objective of this study is to assess the effectiveness of big data systems in forecasting potential outbreaks and the implications of these forecasts for public health systems. The study employs machine learning-based predictive models to process large health datasets, including electronic health records, sensor data, and social media information. The results demonstrate that the predictive model achieved an accuracy rate of 87%, significantly surpassing traditional methods in terms of early detection. By integrating various data sources such as medical records, sensor networks, and real-time digital traces, the system is capable of providing more accurate, timely predictions, which can greatly improve the ability of public health authorities to respond effectively to emerging health threats. Furthermore, the application of big data in public health not only improves the speed of response but also enhances the allocation of resources, allowing for more targeted and efficient interventions. Despite these successes, challenges remain, particularly in relation to data quality, privacy, and regulatory issues, which could hinder the broader implementation of such systems. Thus, collaboration between government agencies, healthcare institutions, and technology developers is essential to overcome these obstacles and ensure the sustainable integration of big data into public health infrastructures. This research highlights the significant potential of big data to transform public health responses, offering valuable insights for future epidemic management strategies.
