The population of this study was 40 people so it is called population research. The instruments in this research were a closed questionnaire for variable X and a multiple choice written test for variable Y. There is a positive and significant influence of the implementation of the outdoor study method on the learning outcomes of Christian religious education and character education for class X odd semester students at SMA Negeri 1 Tampahan for the 2023/2024 academic year, namely rcount > rtable (0463>0.312), tcount > ttable (3.220 > 2.021), Y ̂="56.22"+0.38X, r2 = 21.4%. So the hypothesis test states that Ha is accepted, namely that there is a positive and significant influence of the implementation of the outdoor study method on the learning outcomes of Christian religious education and character education for class X odd semester students at SMA Negeri 1 Tampahan for the 2023/2024 academic year.

This research aims to determine the effect of outdoor study-based problem-based learning on high school students' critical thinking abilities on respiratory system material. This research methodology uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental type. The research population was class XI high school students with a sample size of 86 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and written tests. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the research show that the average critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class taught using the outdoor study-based Problem Based Learning learning model is in the high category and the average critical thinking ability of students in the control class taught using the conventional learning model is low, this is based on the average posttest score from the experimental class, namely 80.22 and the control class, namely 55.95. The results of hypothesis testing using Independent Sample t-test statistics show that there is an influence of the outdoor study-based problem based learning model on the results of students' critical thinking abilities in the material on the human respiratory system Class XI Science SMA Brigjen Katamso 2 Medan.

The data analysis technique in this study is a descriptive data analysis technique and the T-Test.The results showed that students' learning motivation in social studies learning prior to the implementation of the outdoor learning method was generally in the less motivated category and student learning outcomes were in the pretest with an average score of 45.7. Meanwhile, students' learning motivation in social studies learning after the implementation of the outdoor learning method increased to a motivated category and student learning outcomes in the posttest with an average score of 86.8. It can be concluded that the application of the outdoor learning method is effectively used in thematic learning of fourth grade students at SDN No. 145 Bayowa Presidential Instruction, Takalar Regency. The results of descriptive and inferential analysis testing with the help of SPSS 23.0 for windows. The normality test of the pretest and posttest data was normally distributed with a Sig value of 0.20 > α = 0.05 and the results of the hypothesis test using the One Sample t-test t-test and obtained a p value (sig.(2-tailed)) was 0.000 <0.05, so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an increase in social studies learning outcomes after applying the outdoor learning method to fourth grade students at SDN No. 145 Bayowa Presidential Instruction, Takalar Regency, with a gain value of more than 0.30. Thus the researchers concluded that the outdoor learning method was quite effective in improving social studies learning outcomes for fourth graders of SDN No. 145 Bayowa Presidential Instruction, Takalar Regency.
