Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) is a spice plant that produces essential oils of economic value. Especially the myristicin compounds contained in nutmeg oil have potential as antioxidants and also anti-aging. The content of nutmeg which shows antifungal activity is flavonoids, saponins and alkaloids. Flavonoids as antifungal compounds work by interfering with the permeability of fungal cell membranes and changing organic components and nutrient transport which ultimately results in toxic effects on fungi. This study aims to determine the chemical content and whether the nutmeg extract can be formulated in cream preparations as well as the results of the physical properties test on the preparation of the nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) ethanol extract of cream. The type of research used in this study was experimental research in the laboratory. Nutmeg (Myristica Fragrans), phytochemical screening test on nutmeg extract, cream preparation formulation, cream physical properties test (organoleptic test, pH test, homogeneity test, cream type test). Nutmeg extraction was carried out using the maceration method using 70% ethanol. The results of phytochemical screening of the ethanol extract of nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) indicated the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins. The preparation of cream of ethanol extract of nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) using a Vaseline album base ratio of F1 (10%), F2 (15%) and F3 (20%) had stable physical properties.

Oil palm is Indonesia's leading and prime plantation commodity. Plants whose main products consist of palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel oil (KPO) have high economic value and are one of the largest foreign exchange earners compared to other plantation commodities (Fauzi, 2012) PT. Safety Pin River Purun is a company that manages palm kernel products with the products produced there are 2 types, namely CPKO (Cruide Palm Kernel Oil) and PKM (Palm Kernel Meal). From the results of the study it was found that the prototype design was made capable of producing palm kernel assessment calculations using AHP in the assessment process, while the prototype model used was to use the prototyping model method. With this research can be beneficial for the management of PT. The Sungai Purun pin in the process of evaluating palm kernel is more effective and accurate in producing reports

In their life, the people of Siwal Village cannot be separated from the use of oil. Moreover, the majority of Siwal Village residents work as food or fried food sellers on the roadside. Repeated use of cooking oil can have harmful effects on health. In addition, used cooking oil that can no longer be used is usually dumped in careless places and causes environmental pollution. Another problem in Siwal Village is the lack of skills of children due to the influence of gadgets. With these things in mind, training on how to process used cooking oil into an alternative material for making used used wax is one of the right solutions. Activities consist of a location survey, implementation, results and discussion. Implementation includes; 1) preparation 2) counseling 3) training 4) mentoring 5) evaluation 6) advanced stage training. Asthma Bronchiale is inflammation in the airways (bronchi) where excessive lung mucus production makes breathing difficult. One treatment that can be given is by giving nebulizer therapy to ease the cough response to the presence of mucus in the respiratory tract with the addition of mint oil. The purpose of the case study is to illustrate the effect of adding mint (pappermint oil) and liquid with a nebulizer on the handling of asthma bronchiale cough in Ungaran District Hospital. The subject of this case study used two patients with asthma bronchiale, willing to be investigated, cooperative and more than 5 years old. Data was collected by observation and administration of nebulizer therapy by adding pappermint oil and liquid using a nebulizer. The results of the case study found that subject I had a cough frequency of 25 (moderate), no inflammation, no wheezing and easy sputum discharge, whereas in subject II the frequency of cough became 24 (moderate), no inflammation, no wheezing, and easy phlegm Exit. This study is recommended to apply pappermint oil therapy to reduce the frequency of cough bronchial asthma patients

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) adalah bahan alami yang memiliki sifat antimikroba (antivirus, antibakteri, dan antijamur). Sehingga VCO dapat memberikan efek pengawet pada bahan makanan, salah satunya adalah roti manis. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh VCO terhadap karakteristik (fisik dan kimia) dan umur simpan roti manis. Roti manis dianalisis secara fisik (tekstur dan porositas) dan kimia (kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak, kadar protein, dan kandungan karbohidrat), dan analisis umur simpan dengan FFA, uji organoleptik dan jamur setiap dua hari selama delapan hari penyimpanan di suhu ruang. Variasi perlakuan roti manis adalah dari rasio konsentrasi VCO: margarin: mentega, K (0%: 8%: 8%); A (4%: 6%: 6%); B (8%: 4%: 4%), C (12%: 2%: 2%); D (16%: 0%: 0%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa VCO tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap karakteristik fisik dan karakteristik kimia roti manis. Namun, VCO berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kadar air roti manis yang dihasilkan, roti manis K memiliki kadar air tertinggi (22,36%) dan berbeda dengan sampel roti manis lainnya. VCO secara efektif menghambat pertumbuhan jamur di roti manis pada konsentrasi 8%, 12%, dan 16%. Roti manis K dan A memiliki masa simpan 4 hari, sedangkan roti manis B, C, dan D memiliki masa simpan 6 hari.Kata kunci: VCO, roti manis, karakteristik, umur simpanABSTRACTVirgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is a natural ingredient that has antimicrobial (antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal) properties. So that VCO can provide a preservative effect on food ingredients, one of which is sweet bread. This research was conducted to evaluate the effect of VCO on characteristics (physical and chemical) and shelf life of sweet bread. Sweet bread was analyzed physically (texture and porosity) and chemistry (moisture content, ash content, fat content, protein content, and carbohydrate content), and shelf life analysis with FFA, organoleptic and mold tests every two days for eight days of storage at ambient temperature. Treatment variations of sweet breads is from the ratio of the concentration of VCO: margarine: butter, K (0%: 8%: 8%); A (4%: 6%: 6%); B (8%: 4%: 4%), C (12%: 2%: 2%); D (16%: 0%: 0%). The results showed that VCO did not have a significant effect on the physical characteristics and chemical characteristics of sweet bread. However, the VCO has a significant effect on the water content of the sweet bread produced, sweet bread K has the highest moisture content (22,36%) and it is different from other sweet bread samples. VCO effectively inhibits the growth of sweet bread mold at concentrations of 8%, 12%, and 16%. K and A sweet bread has a shelf life of 4 days, while sweet breads B, C, and D have a shelf life of 6 days.Keywords: VCO, sweet bread, characteristics, shelf life

Nutmeg is known as a spice plant that has economic value and multipurpose because every part of the plant can be used in various industries. Compounds contained in nutmeg seeds include essential oils, a-pinene, b-pinene, limonene, myristicin, safrole, and methyl eugenol. Nutmeg plant nutritious as antidiarrheal, antidiabetic, antimicrobial. The purpose of this study was to make a formulation of rubbing oil and to determine the bacteriostatic activity of nutmeg seed oil on staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This study used three formulations, namely the provision of distilled water as a negative control, chloramphenicol as a positive control. The method used in this research is the well method. Bacteria that were incubated for 24 hours in the fastest concentration inhibition research were at 50% concentration because of bacterial growth which showed that the higher the concentration, the higher the inhibitory power and at 20% concentration the results were resistant, because the amount of solvent used was higher. low and can not inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
